$3.05 BP and Speedway. Now I've forgotten what Citgo was.

I was looking for some historic photos and that happened to be one of them. $3.29 in the morning (I think) and $3.19 in the afternoon, 10 cents cheaper for Easy Pay in each case. $3.19 Freedom, $3.09 BP, $3.15 Shell. I started to stop because I was close enough to out of gas.

I'll see what BP is tomorrow and if it's not cheap enough I'll use one of my Shell gift cards.

I used a Shell gift card even though it was $3.29. I called the company and got them to move my points to next month. Speedway $3.39 in the morning and BP matched it, but $3.29 in the afternoon. Quik Chek $3.26. Citgo $3.39. I think. Former Citgo ... I've forgotten.

I think Speedway and BP were $3.31. The former Citgo and two other stations I don't report were $3.39. I forget what Citgo was but I think it was about the same.

Yesterday everyone was $3.39. Until I ate lunch and Valero across the street was $3.49. And quite busy. then I passed the stations at that interstate exit. Citgo and BP were $3.49 and, amazingly, so was Sheetz just down the road, which is usually cheaper. $3.59 at the Shell at that same exit. I used a gift card at another Shell (Circle K across the street is 10 cents cheaper with Easy Pay), and Kangaroo was down to $3.35.

I have all my points but see the Food Thread.

Thinking my dental appointment wouldn't leave me time to do it, I got gas at a Shell with a gift card for $3.39. I got milk where I ate lunch because it was too much at the Shell. I didn't have time to go to the grocery.

$3.19 Kangaroo. This is good news! No, wait, QM and BP are $3.25. I'd better go ahead. and after I'm already committed to the one pump, it keeps cutting off. Sometimes it lets me put in a lot of gas before it does that. Sometimes it's a dollar's worth or less. Anyway, I filled up. $3.28 Shell and Circle K ($3.18 Easy Pay). About the same at Spee. I forgot to look at Shell at the interstate exit, but Shell, Citgo and BP at the next exit were $3.49. Sheetz about 20 cents cheaper.

But $3.17 Speedway. BP's sign was off. $3.20 Citgo.

It just keeps getting worse. $3.12 Citgo. $3.16 Speedway and the BP sign was still off. $3.29 Shell closest to where I live. And still another week to go before I could have still used my points.

And worse. $3.13 ($3.03 Easy Pay) Circle K closest to where I live going in the other direction. Kangaroo next to where I went to college is now a Circle K and $3.12 ($3.02 Easy Pay). $3.04 7-11. And two BPs were $3.09. Another Circle K was $3.09 ($2.99 Easy Pay).

Actually, only the lowest price at a Circle K is right. I think I'm remembering them incorrectly, but both were higher than the other.

Everyone was $3.19 ($3.09 Easy Pay at two Circle Ks, one of which was once the Shell at the interstate exit) except the former DB which was $3.39 and a BP that I don't see most days which was $3.21. I didn't go to where I get points or to the restaurant with chicken salad because it was supposed to rain on Thursday--which it didn't.

The day before I got all my points but someone at the store had to call the 800 number because the system wasn't working right. Turns out they must have been giving me double points. I had 30 more than I needed which won't get used.

$3.06 Speedway, BP still out. $2.99 Quik Chek. I forget what Citgo was. I watched the Shell closest to where I live counting down from $3.26 to $3.19.

I don't know whether I'll get to use my points this month. Maybe gas will go down.

I couldn't go to the library until after I went to the store where I get points, and when I went in that direction, I did not see the BP, but the Shell was $3.03 and I used a gift card. Earlier, Circle K closest to where I live going in the other direction was $3.29 ($3.19 Easy Pay).

Everyone was $3.29 yesterday. Shell closest to where I live, Speedway, Citgo and Quik Chek. I did not pass the former Citgo. BP sign still off.

I thought gas was going down. And now I actually need it.

$3.29 ($3.19 Easy Pay) at Circle K closest to where I live going in the other direction, though it was four cents cheaper on the way home. BP was $3.25 so I decided I could do better. Freedom was over $3.30 but I forget the exact number. And while I drove past the Shell, I didn't look.

Shell closest to where I live said $3.29 on the sign but you can't buy gas during construction. The store is open. Except for Liberty which was $3.37 (wonder if they're connected with Freedom because their logo is similar) everyone else was $3.39. BP's sign was off.

I got my points moved to next month. Since I had 230, this is helpful because there will be fewer points lost and I don't need any more points this month. Or I can get 83.

Shell still not open so I used my gift card where it was $3.39, across from a place where I eat. Speedway $3.37. Quik Chek $3.29. I saw Citgo and the former Citgo but forgot what both were.

$3.09 Kangaroo. Really? I can use my points! No, wait. $3.29 QM and BP. $3.28 Circle K ($3.18 Easy Pay), matched by Shell in the afternoon, down a penny. But $3.49 Circle K ($3.39 Easy Pay) and Spee. Okay, I'm going back to BP. But because I go to get a chicken salad sandwich early in the day before they run out, I passed by the other BP, which I didn't see in the morning. $3.26 ($2.96 with points). I filled up!

I got gas yesterday for $3.09 which was the full price. An hour or two later, I went by the place that I got the gas from, and their price was a dime higher at $3.19. Today I saw other stations charging $3.29.

Found out yesterday why the Shell was closed but not why it is taking so long to reopen. I need to refill my can soon. But the man who took my mower to do what needs to be done said not to use any more of the gas I got from there because it had water in it. Once the station reopens I will refill the can.

$3.29 Speedway and BP in the afternoon. Even with my new glasses I couldn't make out Quik Chek's price but I think The first two digits mean it was over $3.30. And I know this because they weren't tight enough and I had to get them fixed. And I have to do it again. And this meant I never made it to the store where I get points.

I passed four Circle K's. The one closest to where I live was $3.49 ($3.39 Easy Pay) and I think it was the same in the afternoon, but the one closest to the college I graduated from was the same in the morning and 10 cents higher in the afternoon. The other two were ten cents higher even though most places were $3.49. Lowe's was $3.39 but I can't remember whether there's something like Easy Pay.

The Shell where I filled my gas can was $3.49 but I have to buy premium which was $4.29. I was able to empty the can there but the can got wet when I took it out of the car and didn't put it inside. But it was raining and I just wanted to get it out of the rain.

And the Shell closest to where I live, last time I checked, was still not selling gas because of the work needed to keep people from getting water in their gas. $3.49 at the former Texaco across the street. Yes, I could have gotten gas for the mower there, but I used a Shell gift card.

This has been a weird week.

Early in the day on Tuesday I just remember some of the prices being different. I thought I was going to say lower, but I'm not sure. $3.49 Citgo, $3.37 Quik Chek, $3.42 BP and Speedway. Shell closest to where I live was still replacing equipment or whatever but the sign said $3.39. I saw plastic over some nozzles but maybe some were working. Otherwise, why have the sign? The former Texaco across the street was $3.49.

Yesterday, $3.49 former DB, QM and BP. Kangaroo $3.29, but there was some inflatable tower celebrating a grand opening with the Exxon/Mobil logo. $3.44 Shell, so I used a gift card. Circle K across the street $3.44 ($3.34 Easy Pay). However, the situation on the interstate was reversed. $3.69 ($3.59 Easy Pay) Circle K and Spee (which is nowhere near the exit). At the next exit Shell $3.59, BP $3.49. The store where I get points was $3.49 (I needed some refrigerated stuff that was on sale, and orange juice was 10 cents cheaper than where I usually get it). Speedway across the street and several other places nearby, and even Sheetz down the street from the exit, were all $3.69.

$3.39 Pure, $3.32 Kelly's. I filled up at Kelly's on the way home. $3.59 FastFuels and Speedway. $3.49 Kelly's Marathon and at the Shell close to where I was going. If not for Kelly's, I could have used a Shell gift card.

Shell closest to where I live $3.59 but at least some nozzles are still covered and there were people working there. How long will this work take and how much are they losing? $3.49 at the former Texaco across the street.

Very strange week.

Same at former DB and Kangaroo, $3.39 QM, BP, Circle K ($3.29 Easy Pay) and Spee. I didn't see the other BP. Shell and Circle K across the street $3.44 ($3.34 Easy Pay). The Shell at the next interstate exit was $3.56 so back to normal. I think that was right. The store where I get points was $3.49.

A big sign in front of the Shell closest to where I live said it was selling fuel again, and it was $3.44. $3.42 BP and Speedway. $3.39 Citgo, $3.49 former Citgo, $3.35 Quik Chek.
