I don't get to spend time with my cousin tomorrow. It's going to rain and one of us would have to drive a long way in the rain. Plus I would have to find someplace to walk. Although if I stay at home I will use an umbrella. That doesn't always work but at least if I'm home when it doesn't, I can change clothes.
It did rain a little on Saturday but I got done what I needed to. And it was warm enough.

It didn't rain much on Tuesday. It sprinkled on Wednesday but fog was the big deal. At least it was warmer and the rain stopped so I could walk.
It was warmer yesterday and sometimes sunny.
Last night it rained and today it's just cool.

Cool the past couple of days but not at night.
Also cool tomorrow but I'm determined to wear a short sleeve shirt and since it'll be sunny, maybe it won't be so bad (I keep a jacket in the car). Not so when I have my dental appointment Wednesday. It might not start raining before my appointment but it'll be cool enough I'll have to go to what used to be a mall and see the Christmas decorations. It has county offices now. And I don't think I'll try wearing short sleeves.
Thursday sounds like it'll be bad. I had to cancel my visit with my cousin because I don't think either of us wants to drive that far in the rain.

It's good to finally have a nice day. Not warm, but with the sun out it seems warm. Tuesday was not warm and the sun didn't come out but I wore my short sleeve shirt anyway. I cancelled my dental appointment so I wouldn't be driving in heavy rain (though it was light rain) after dark and I won't get around to going to buy a screwdriver that I need until I have another appointment late in the day.
And I was very right about yesterday. They said the rain would end but it lasted longer than they said and the worst of it was late in the day. The sun came out but it rained again. Plus it was cold.
Cool this weekend but I'm determined to wear short sleeves again. My family is getting together late tomorrow. I want my picture taken in this one shirt which I was planning to wear when I saw my cousin. I don't know when we'll get together. No, he's not related to the people I will see tomorrow. They are my mother's family and he is my father's family.

On the station with Roy they just said this weekend it will be the coldest it has been since before the pandemic. I have to remember to keep my hot water running all weekend.
I did get to wear short sleeves to be with my family. See the Food Thread. And I'm going to do it tomorrow. I don't care. Wednesday is different. I really need to walk outside and it will be a nice day. No, I tried a jacket with short sleeves and I was miserable. Long sleeves might work.

Now I know how those weather reporters feel during hurricanes. I have never walked outside when the wind was blowing so hard I thought it would blow me over. Still, it wasn't all that cold (despite a forecast of a wind chill of 5), at least when I was in the sun. No ice in the puddles. I checked the web site that I use to find out the low and the high (which won't work today, obviously) and officially it was 28 when I got on the computer after lunch. The forecast high was 41 but if it got there, that was earlier. I was waked up by the wind but it has gotten a lot better now.
My hot water has been running all day. I know it's not needed at this point, but I sure don't want to forget. Yes, my bill will be higher.
It is supposed to get above freezing on Sunday. I even heard one forecast for 40.

Officially, low 27 and high 49 Friday. That does not tell the entire story.
I was not in the area that had a wind advisory later in the day, but the next county was. And the next county going in the other direction. The wind wasn't all that bad.
Officially, low 9 and high 29 Saturday. It didn't feel all that bad outside until I was not facing the sun. However, despite my running water constantly, the washer wouldn't start until late in the day. I was afraid I'd have to wait until Monday. I worried all day that the pipe going to the washer would break and my water would be off and I'd have no water until whenever someone could fix it. The last time a pipe broke I had to wait more than 24 hours. I kept running the water. After I did my Saturday wash, it started on Sunday but I waited until today.
I couldn't feel in a festive mood as long as I had the water problem. It's amazing how much better I felt when the water was running, but I didn't actually have a celebration as such. It was just an ordinary day both Saturday and Sunday when I happened to listen to Christmas music and watch Christmas movies. And "Avatar", which I had time for after doing certain things earlier when the weather was better.
Officially, low 13 and high 39 Sunday. It actually seemed colder when I walked. I never made it to church.
Edit: I forgot one very important thing when I felt so much better about the washer. It was still COLD. And it didn't warm up at all today. I just saw the official numbers. Of course, it got cloudy.

While it was warmer on Tuesday and I took my tree down, it got cold again in the morning. The low and high Tuesday were about the same as on Friday, but there was of course a big difference in when the low and high were recorded, and I was able to walk to the post office to turn in my key wearing short sleeves after it opened at noon.
I was surprised at how cold it was Wednesday but I was right to wear short sleeves because when I walked it was nice and warm. 23 was the low.
Yesterday it was really warm. The high was 64. It may be even warmer today. But it rains tomorrow.

No, it wasn't warmer. 50s all weekend, but the lows never got lower than that. I did get rained on going out for the paper because they said the rain would be in the morning, which it wasn't, so I was able to walk early. At least the heat didn't come on much. It feels even warmer today.
And while it might rain tomorrow and likely will rain on Wednesday, I have to decide when to go where I will have to walk outside. At one point rain was likely on Thursday but now they're saying no.

I will meet with my cousin next week if all goes well. This week it did finally reach 70, but the next couple of days were actually cooler in the afternoon. And i picked the worst time to walk in the morning on Wednesday. It wasn't raining and then it was.
It was really nice yesterday and I think it got warmer than they said it would. Almost 70.
Back to almost normal for several days.

Rain yesterday and cold enough that we were told only the mountains would get frozen precipitation. Not good news if you look at the Vent Thread.
A little warmer this week but there will be the possibility of just enough snow next weekend to look pretty but not enough to cause problems. A year ago it snowed every weekend.
But rain Thursday (it was Wednesday, and now I can't meet with my cousin).

It didn't rain on Thursday and my cousin didn't say if he could come. But I think we could have met because I knew in time the rain was going to wait until late in the day, and then boy, did it. Several weather bulletins. Damage reports. The high was in the 70s yesterday and it was somewhat cooler for the high today, though given how cold it gets over the weekend, I'm thinking that was early in the day. Snow was predicted for the mountains but I don't think we'll get any.

The actual temperatures for Saturday were meaningless. I'm not convinced it wasn't just as cold as the day before Christmas when the wind chill is considered.
A little better yesterday. Low 24 but it was nice and warm outside when I walked.
Rain tomorrow and maybe Thursday.

It finally started raining. With the changes that resulted from COVID, there's no reason not to wait until Friday. It was supposed to be about 70 today and I think it was close to that yesterday.
On Sunday I'm surprised we're not being told there could be frozen precipitation. It will be cold and wet.

It didn't rain all day but I did have to carry an umbrella. The web site says the high was 51, but that was surely at midnight. Snow in the mountains. It was quite warm outside this morning but when the sun wasn't out it wasn't.
Rain Wednesday.

No breaks in the rain like there usually are and sometimes it was heavy. I was really surprised to not hear about frozen precipitation when the temperature was so close to freezing, but I think the mountains had snow.
Yesterday it was warm enough for me to wear short sleeves and no jacket. And really nice. Today was supposed to be cooler but I couldn't tell any difference. Walking early of course I will wear long sleeves.
Rain late Sunday. And at least one day next week.

At least one day? It might rain every day! And if it doesn't clear off soon enough, something else might happen on Friday.
It didn't rain on me this morning but it had rained already.
69 yesterday and almost 60 both days on the weekend, after a cold start. No more days that warm this week.

I could have gone somewhere yesterday but it was cold. Actually, it wasn't all that cold in the morning, and the high was 59. So why did it seem cold? Because the temperature fell all day.
I'll wait for tomorrow when at least it won't be raining.
And it really gets cold this weekend.

It felt cold but wasn't really all that cold. It did get down to 27 on Saturday.
But this is the third day the high has reached the 70s. So it's hard to believe that on Sunday what precipitation falls will depend on where you are.
It was supposed to rain yesterday and today but it's just looked like it was about to rain all day yesterday and the sun came out this morning after it rained during the night.
I listen to two radio stations for music, plus two others on Sunday, one of which is online only. The one in Ohio said it was going to be really cold tonight. "In fact" a low of 22. That's not even that cold around here, much less Ohio. The Florida radio station, which I don't like as much, has had weather forecasts with highs in the 70s or 80s.

We're back to warm weather. I have heard there was some snow or sleet but don't know for sure. Just rain here and it was mostly over by yesterday morning.
Weird weather forecast from Ohio. Very warm. A high of 55. That is warm for there but the man talked like 22 was very cold for a low. The low tomorrow night will be 58. Huh?

Here we go again. We tied a record with 79, if you believe the CW affiliate, or broke a record with 80, if you go by what the CBS affiliate said a couple of hours earlier. I don't know when the CW station records what they say will be on the 10:00 news.
70s or higher all week, then cold and rainy tomorrow. Actually, it was just cold last week.

50s over the weekend, and I got the impression it was 50 all day on Saturday. It didn't rain all that much but it just didn't get warm.
Although it was supposed to be 70 yesterday, the sun didn't really come out and it didn't get out of the 50s. A few miles south, a very different story.

70s all week except yesterday, when it didn't rain like they said it would and it was only 67. Didn't really rain today either. All the rain seems to happen at night. On the other hand, there was thunder Wednesday night and that wasn't supposed to happen until today.

Why did winter come back?
It wasn't really that cold, but it did feel cold in the house. But it was 78 on Tuesday before it turned windy and cold. Actually, it was windy even when it was warm.
Today there was rain too but then the sun came out, and now it's gone again. More rain Sunday, and more weather that is actually cold.

Saturday wasn't so bad. Just a little cooler than usual for this time of year.
The rain stopped in time for me to walk without an umbrella yesterday. To the north it wasn't all rain.
And it's only going to get worse, but without precipitation.

Tuesday was worse than I had expected. The high was only 50 and it was windy.
26 Wednesday morning.
But things got a lot better yesterday. A high of 68, but it felt so much warmer.
Today it is raining, but hopefully that will be over early tomorrow. Then it gets cold again. And next week is looking wet, and not that much warmer.
