I could spend a lot of time on problems I had at the beach and on the way to and from there. I won't today.
Roy (Chad) seems to have gotten recorded but I haven't watched to make sure. The color on the TV where I record it has gone bad. I had to replace another TV last week when Tim Allen turned purple. Things are even worse on the other TV. It is amazing that letting a TV rest for several months is all I need to do in order to have it working fine again.
Virus scan did fine. I came home to find the computer on and I have no idea how long it had been on. I shouldn't use the sleep button when gone for that long. I didn't want to wonder why it wouldn't turn on so I didn't unplug it. The monitor was unplugged so I had to turn it off anyway. And then it froze so I had to unplug it.

I just saw Roy (Chad) and it wasn't easy. People have turned green and trees are blue. With other TVs taking them out of service for a while works. I had to replace a TV last week. Tim Allen was purple. The TV I hadn't used for a while works fine. Getting back to Roy, there was no signal. No matter what I did with the antenna, it wouldn't work. I asked the TiVo to give me live TV on another channel and it worked. I asked the TiVo to record the show I was watching and there wasn't enough room. Okay, that does explain some, but not all, of what's going on. I asked to watch Live TV. NOW it works. And just in time.
I also had to replace the batteries in a remote and I couldn't find any that worked. I remembered I had remotes I haven't used and batteries from that worked. I have looked for a very large package of batteries I bought before I got rechargeable ones. I can't find that package.
My power went out in the middle of the night. I couldn't see anything. I couldn't find my flashlight. When the power came back on, I saw the flashlight five inches from where I had reached for it. My phone rang. At 1 in the morning the power company was nice enough to tell me my power was back on. I listened to the message the next day. It was for a system upgrade. Well, why didn't they warn us? Oh, that's what the message was earlier. I deleted it because no one said anything, and just as I hit the button someone started talking, but I couldn't undo what I had done.
For the past two days when I have tried to listen to the Wisconsin radio station on the TiVo, it wouldn't do anything. I've had to listen on the desktop. While I was looking at Facebook, that may have been enough to make it freeze. I was able to unfreeze the computer by closing some things.
I finally got my recycling picked up. I found two bags that got stuck in the container when it was picked up, or at least that's what I thought. The next week two trucks came through and I didn't know why. The next week the recycling was not picked up. Okay, I'll put it out again. Actually, that worked.
The monitor got unplugged once over the weekend and that means turning the computer off and starting completely over. The old Edge used to resume everything where I left it. Now, that means using the sleep button. And I haven't even mentioned any of what happened at the beach.

My mom's tablet has gotten misplaced somewhere. We've been checking the living room area but it doesn't seem to be in here.
Update: Found it! It actually was in the living room, it was just laying on it's side near our couch.

Forgot a couple of things. I found the plastic that my mattress was wrapped in and it was disgusting. I wasn't sure the trash container would get emptied with it there, but it did.
Virus scan did fine but I've had my computer freeze more than once on several days this week. Not this week. Also, my monitor keeps getting unplugged. One solution I thought of was to get a second surge protector to plug into the first one. I had to do that in the room where I watch TV when a cord was too short.
I did see Roy (Chad) Wednesday but only because I recorded him. Online, I saw Monday's story but it said 5:25. That should have been on my recording, then.
I still haven't found my missing batteries. Two AAA rechargeable and a big package of AA.
Also see the Food Thread.

I forgot Roy but it did record, if he was on.
Monitor unplugged once over the weekend but that should end after a purchase I plan to make. If I can remove the duct tape one of my cousins put on the cord so I wouldn't trip over it. Also, the computer keeps coming on in the middle of the night if I press the sleep button.
Still haven't found my batteries.
My mattress pad won't stay in place. Fortunately it has another one on top of it but that was to protect it, not the mattress.
I found the soap I don't like but I lost the one I used when it was missing.
At the beach the smoke alarm was beeping and it took several hours to get someone to replace the battery. I was at the library most of that time. Later my sink stopped up.

I have been playing the latest Nancy Drew game and it sucks! It took over 29 minutes to pick the lock with no clear instructions plus unlocking the desk in the beginning was awful.
The graphics suck big time! The audio doesn't mesh well with the video.
Yuck!

I saw both Roys.
I solved my problem with the monitor and the modem coming unplugged. I didn't find what I needed to buy but I already had it. What I was remembering incorrectly was that the surge protector's cord was too short. It wasn't. So I can use just the surge protector where the other was, and that other one has a cord that is too short. Which means it wouldn't have worked the way I expected. It didn't matter. I plugged this item in and plugged the monitor and modem into that, and all is fine.
And my computer froze today.
No batteries where I get points, so I'll have to make this expensive purchase where I don't get points.

I can't get milk bottles clean if I wait too long. I fill them with water and hope that'll help. But I shouldn't do that if I've disposed of the cap. Water all over the kitchen!
No freezing of the computer and no finding the monitor unplugged. I have solved the problem.
Didn't find the soap and it seems like I tuck the mattress pad back in every day.

I opened what I thought was another soap I don't like and there was soap I do like. I'll put that in the shower for when I need it. I opened another soap I don't like in case I can't find the other one. There are nine more to be used.
I bought rechargeable batteries but they only had AAA so all I can do is use them in the electric shaver until they need recharging. Surely there is a store that has AA rechargeable batteries. I got the ones I have at KMart and we know what happened there.
Virus scan did fine. I did have to restart the computer but I waited until I was ready to leave, because it takes too long. I won't do it just because I get a notification. I wait until I can leave.
And I saw both Roys.

Watched the new version of Supermarket Sweep tonight, did NOT like it all. The new host is much too loud and it doesn't feel right as a gameshow this time around.
Also did more gaming in Midnight in Salem for Nancy Drew, ugh! It is awful, the graphics, music, audio, video are pathetic! Yuck!

I made the mistake of cleaning the electric razor with batteries. The part that does the cutting flew off when I tried to put it back but at least I found it. Then the top flew off and I haven't found it. Meaning I can't use the electric razor. and when my AA rechargeable batteries are needed, I won't have them because I haven't got anything to recharge. I need to find out where to buy rechargeable AA batteries because I can't find the numerous AA batteries I already bought. And I have nothing except a flashlight in the car to use AAA batteries for. And I don't use it. Furthermore, I have several AAA batteries not getting used.
I haven't found the missing soap I don't like the smell of but I started using the other one I opened.
I still haven't mentioned what happened at the beach. However, I did open my credit card bill. No purchases from my beach trip. They sure take a long time to include those.
I guess my clock radio is working. Some mornings I get up when I'm supposed to, but on two straight days I didn't hear anything until just before the man said it was 7:31. That's too late. I have to get my wash in the washer early.
I opened three rolls of paper towels today. Two of them were brands I never tried. The first was not only poor quality but choose a size. Another was choose a size but good quality and it was a small enough roll for the paper towel holder that can't handle a big roll. I opened a third roll to replace the poor quality roll and it was another poor quality roll but at least the towels were square. The poor quality towels can't be used to clean up if the job is difficult.

Football and no Roy (Chad) Monday. I didn't see Roy Wednesday afternoon but I haven't watched the morning news.
I swapped the paper towels. The poor quality towels go on the holder that can't handle big rolls. All that matters is that they're not too big. I'm used to the good quality rolls being on the good quality holder, and the small rolls being poor quality.
I couldn't turn on the computer one day. I checked and finally realized it was plugged in and even though I turned it off by pressing the sleep button, I had to use the on button. The time was the same as when I turned it off and I didn't have to sign in. I wish that was always true but it was weird.
I forgot the virus scan but I will have to remember it in a few minutes.
I got through to someone important at the newspapers that have missing pages. Some of the missing pages are back but I've seen no sign the TV sections will be included. They were before.

I went to the pharmacy for a flu shot. All of the pharmacy employees were wearing their masks below their noses. The chairs were placed side-by-side and one inch apart. There were no stickers indicating 6 ft spacing. We waited about an hour for the doctor and then she administered the shots twenty minutes apart. We were all seniors and the service was terrible. I had made an appointment but since we were all seniors, I just waited with everyone else.

My monitor fell several times. My virus scan finished fine.
I tried to make a phone call today and there was no dial tone. How is this possible with the Internet working? I couldn't call but I tried an online option. When the person asked if I got a dial tone at that time, I did. I made a phone call, to my dentist. See the other thread. And I got sort of an answer about my higher phone bill.
No progress or anything else on the missing sections in the newspapers.

It's been slow getting funds for the gofundme so it's looking like we'll have to fund the move mostly on our own.
Need to start back to packing and sorting again. Not fun!

I meant to watch Roy (Chad) on Wednesday after I was a few minutes late realizing it was time. All I had to do was use the remote to rewind and I didn't.
Monitor fell again. I pulled the cord hoping the problem won't happen again, but moving my keyboard pushes it toward the edge.
Virus scan did fine.
I'm tired of pulling off half a paper towel. I've found a brand I think I can use but I need to use all the others I bought.
Still haven't found the top of the electric razor.

Computer came on by itself and the monitor was not dark when I discovered pressing the sleep button didn't work. Even turning it off didn't work. I had to unplug it.
I found the AAA batteries! My new TV got unplugged but it looked like it was plugged in, and I blamed the remote, which didn't have a light on it. After trying three different sets of batteries, the last ones being from the electric razor, I checked to see if the TV was in fact plugged in.
I wish my phone wasn't working again. Too many people telling me to vote.
I'm not sure but I may be seeing progress toward the missing newspaper sections.

Roy (Chad) wasn't on at 4 and I forgot to check after that newscast. The 8:00 newscast was already gone so if he was on, I missed it and will have to go online.
I've missed two episodes of "The Price Is Right" because I didn't check my listings carefully. One was on the CBS web site. The other I found on Youtube but haven't had time to watch yet. "Jeopardy" wasn't on Tuesday night, naturally. However, searching for it online I found a web site with every question and answer.
My computer froze a couple of times today. Once, I got a message that one web site wasn't responding and asking if I wanted to stop the process. The last time I did that it shut everything down. But it didn't wait for me to do anything. It just shut everything down. Certain web sites won't allow ad blockers. I don't know precisely what happened the other time but I was typing and couldn't type any more, and my Wisconsin radio station, which has sounded quite good today, quit. I actually had to unplug that time.
My computer came on twice last night after I had turned it off using the sleep button. Yesterday morning it was on and I just told it to do the virus scan. By the time I returned home it was finished.
Progress is slow on the newspapers with missing sections but it is there.

I caught my monitor just in time before it fell.
I was going to watch the other "Price Is Right" episode but I got distracted and if I get to it, it will be after I finish here. I haven't even looked at newspapers!
I still have to turn my computer off with the sleep button after I've already done it and it comes back on.
I haven't checked on Roy (Chad). He will likely be on in a few minutes but that doesn't solve my problem with last Wednesday.

Saw Roy (Chad) both times and I need to post a link in the cat thread to the cutest video.
I saw both "Price Is Right" episodes.
Virus scan did fine and I've had to restart my computer twice when I was ready to leave it.
In the weather thread I should have said I had to dump water out of both trash containers. The lid sometimes closes when the truck picks them up and puts them back.
The TV section was in today's paper!

My modem got unplugged. How could that still be happening? Anyway, it doesn't happen often and the monitor never gets unplugged.
I went in the kitchen and there was this weird glow. I was turning on the light but it was on. With these CFL bulbs, it gets a lot dimmer when it burns out. I got a CFL bulb from the room where I watch TV and then found an incandescent bulb to replace that one. The new CFL bulb isn't as bright. I can tell the difference in the kitchen.
I already put out the trash for next week and the wind blew it over.
The TV section was in both papers. I saw an article which I will post on this site once I see it on the web site.
Roy (Chad) hasn't been on yet but I'm thinking about posting one of the stories on the Cat thread because it was so cute.

I saw Roy both days.
My computer froze yesterday and this time I had to do the CTRL-ALT-DEL because it was taking too long to come back.
I remembered the virus scan Wednesday night and all is fine.
I can't find a simple cotton pillowcase that costs a dollar. They've got to be different colors, or some fancy material, or king size, or just more expensive than the last ones I got. Some of the places just have pillow covers. Those have zippers and I don't need that.
