I remembered the virus scan because I thought I heard my computer in the middle of the night. However, it wasn't on the next morning.
I saw both Roys (Chad).
I thought a heard a mouse and at one point there was a very loud noise. See the Cat thread for a theory about that noise. And I forgot to report on at least one other possible mouse sighting.
I did see evidence of a mouse in a box of crackers but it seems strange it would have gone to so much trouble for so little reward. I didn't really lose anything. Maybe there was another cause.

I saw part of today's Roy (Chad) but the TV screen went blank and a big truck passed. This is ridiculous. If the truck hadn't passed the signal was nearly perfect. Digital TV should never have been allowed to happen.
I finally had to tuck in my mattress pad but it stayed in place for two weeks. Not that it covers much. The holes are so big now there's not much point.

Our church's ride car broke down yesterday on the way home and instead of calling a tow truck right away we were stuck for over an hour before he finally called for help and a tow truck. It made it a very long evening for me to download, compress and upload the church's sermon for me after still fixing our meal after we got home.

I ordered 3 boxes of Atkins Treats and received two. It was frustrating because there is no clickable option on the site to indicate one was missing. As a last resort, I called and resolved the issue over the phone. I hate calling customer service but this time, it was surprisingly easy.

I remembered once again, when passing vehicles messed up Roy on Wednesday, that there was a second recording earlier in the day, so I saw all of it.
One part of my newest electric shaver that does the cutting fell and is missing. I found it the last time it fell and the same thing happened just seconds after I put it back. I need to remember to clean it where it won't disappear. The good news is I plan to go to the mountains soon and there is a Target on the way there. The parts that do the cutting are supposed to be replaced after a year and even if I could find them they'd probably cost as much as a new one. Plus it'll have a fidget spinner. If i find the same kind.
My computer froze twice this week but I didn't lose much.
The virus scan finished when I remembered to do it, and there was a 6-digit number. My computer came on just before I went to bed but I turned it off.

I don't think the computer froze over the weekend.
The mattress pad is a problem again. In a month I can take everything off the mattress and wash it and start over. But the hard part will be getting rid of the old foundation and that means sleeping in the other bed, after I remove what's piled there.
I just saw Roy (Chad) and it was sort of appropriate for the day. A Korean War veteran's home had lots of memories inside and a photo of a large group of men who served.

Computer froze at least once this week, including today. It takes 10 minutes to come back. By that I mean to return to the Internet. During that time I am informed the file is safe. Well, of course it is. I've been using it all day.
Virus scan completed but I forgot to look at how many files. This morning (actually afternoon) all I got was choices for the scan, not the results. Hopefully it was a six-digit number.
My computer comes on at night but shuts itself off.
Mattress pad seems to be fixed again.
Another light bulb burned out and I had to try three. One thing is certain. The new ones cannot break before I ever use them. I don't know what happens to the others but when I shake them they make a noise. I have several more old ones still left. The cheap kind you can't buy any more.
I saw Roy (Chad) on Wednesday.

Computer froze when I had just a few minutes left on Saturday. I had to remember to do the few things I had left to do yesterday.
The electric shaver's cutting parts fell when I was cleaning it, but I did manage to find them.

Almost a year ago I was given a diaper genie to review for free prior to the shutdowns. Since we haven't had the children back to church yet I was given it back and so I took it home trying to sell it online via Facebook and Craiglist so far. Well I have had a few potential buyers but none have come by to pick it up after we decided on prices and they kept saying they would be here on certain days and at certain times but nothing! This is ridiculous!

A random dude who posts on the brain training Facebook page I post to asked me for money. I declined and he got mad and said he was going to block me. I guess he did not know how to do that, so I graciously blocked him.

Computer froze when I had typed a whole lot of stuff earlier today.
Computer froze as I was typing this.
Roy (Chad) froze twice this week so I still have to see them both online to see the whole story. Three times, actually, since it was even worse in the morning.
I did remember the virus scan and the number had six digits.
I was also told to restart the computer. I remembered to do it. It sure took a long time and that's why I do it when I quit. I made my reservations for my mountain trip next week, but when I called I couldn't understand what the woman was saying. Someone was being rude and talking at the same time. She said she was in a restaurant and would have to call back. She did not. I called again. I could hardly understand the message because the same thing was happening again, except it was telling me to leave a message. I finally got a call really early this morning after I hadn't slept well and really needed the sleep. The woman apologized and said she had tried twice to call me. I don't know what happened. She gave me a discount. I get another discount for using cash instead of a credit card so I'll have to remember.

At least my computer hasn't frozen.
I bought a new electric shaver on the way to the mountains and ended up having to use it because I couldn't find the one I thought I had.
I have so many complaints I don't even know where to start, many of which are related to my trip (and many of those are related to my room), but I'm way behind schedule.

Computer froze once today. I did remember the virus scan but every time I passed the modem I noticed a light was out. I thought this was because my view of the light was blocked by a wire but no matter what, that light never came on. So when I turned the computer on, I was afraid this would mean something bad. The Internet was not working. This is usually solved by unplugging the modem and plugging it back in. And a few minutes later, the Internet was back.
I have so many topics to include here it won't all get done today. That doesn't even include all the problems with my motel room last week.
I spilled two separate bottles that I was going to recycle after I filled them with water so they would be clean. Milk is hard to get out of a bottle once it has been there a while.
I saw a mouse last night. I haven't looked to see if the glue trap worked but I blocked the exit from the bathroom that I don't use.
I lost a shoe when I stepped in something. It probably wasn't that bad but for now I'm keeping it on the back porch.
I saw both Roys including one about the last full service station in a town where I used to get gas.

So far so good with the mattress pad.
The computer didn't freeze over the weekend.
The refrigerator door is harder to close but at least it will close if I make sure.
I still haven't mentioned my long list of problems with my motel room. When I find the phone number I'm going to call for reservations for next year but it will help if I can get them to solve all my problems from this year without charging more. It might work.
I sent an email with my photo to my cousin but there was no proof it was sent. Until today. Wow, I sent her a lot of emails.

I saw both Roys (Chad) including the announcement of the retirement of the cameraman who has been there since the beginning.
I heard a cricket before leaving home but it was gone when I got back. I have yet to mention all the things that were wrong with my motel room. No closet because the building is so old, though it seems newer. Too close to the road and all its noise (when I stayed there in the 80s I was never that close to the road). I flushed the toilet and it didn't fill back up. I thought I had a real emergency but it just took a while for it to start filling. No one should be subjected to that.
Virus scan finished with a six-digit number. I can't recall a time when the computer froze.

My computer did something it never did before last Friday and I hope it never does again. I was thinking before I typed and had pressed a key but didn't let go of it. A bell rang and there was a box and after that I couldn't use the keyboard. I kept looking for settings and finally, when I couldn't find anything, turned the computer off.
The keyboard worked fine after that, though the computer has been coming on in the middle of the night and not turning itself off.
Speaking of the middle of the night, for the past month a train has come through at that time. If I'm lucky it comes through before bedtime, but of course the return trip is much later. The train is as loud as possible the first time because no one is expecting a train.
I have seen evidence of a mouse each night. This morning after I put out a glue trap, the glue trap was gone. I didn't see it anywhere.
One Roy down, one to go.

Mouse has not been back and I haven't smelled it. No glue trap either, but maybe the experience made the mouse not want to return.
However, in the kitchen I saw a giant bug as big as a mouse. I'm not sure if it was the same one but I trapped it in a shopping bag and put it outside. There was nothing to keep it from coming back and I did see a similar bug.
I remembered the other Roy.
I now know why a train has been coming through late at night, and last night that train was very late even on its first trip. I saw two trucks being driven down the railroad tracks and work taking place near where I live on Tuesday. I'm somewhat close to the end of the line.
I forgot it was already time to do the virus scan. I had to restart the computer last night and I wasn't finished, but I finished today. So I need to remember tonight, and I think I have had the computer come on and not turn itself off. Sometimes it does.
Paying my credit card bill was difficult. I was trying to call on Sunday night and kept getting a busy signal or a message saying try later. Tuesday I was successful.
I have to remember to take stuff off the bed I need to sleep in while I am removing my mattress so I'll have less to do at any given time. I haven't found a place yet. I found the electric shaver I bought as I was moving stuff to fresh paper bags. It's just easier to put stuff in bags than in a suitcase that won't hold it all.

"Exploding Baby Private Messages" is an actual subject line in an email I sent myself.
I have to send all these emails to another email address because I've been told by August 31 I must either pay or lose that address. I kept a lot of great stuff there. If anyone wants to read posts from The WB boards, just tell me where to post them. It's been a while since I did that here and I don't know where to do it.

The 6-digit number after the virus scan was the highest ever.
I saw Roy today except for missing a few seconds. I almost didn't because when I recorded Jimmy Kimmel's "Game Night" special hosted by Anthony Anderson, I had occasional glitches. I decided to check the antenna and it wasn't working very well. I lifted it up until it worked on the channel where Chad (Roy) is. I put it down slowly and I guess that was enough. The channel where I get ABC is working again on cable but I usually have no problems with the other ABC affiliate with an antenna. I accidentally recorded Kimmel on the station that is on cable using the antenna and got a total of two minutes.
The trains are still coming through at night. They take the weekend off.
No mouse or signs of a mouse. I didn't even see the glue trap anywhere. How is that possible?
The computer froze twice yesterday, once while I was working on something big. Something went wrong after I typed an email which was relatively long. I should always save it first.

I remembered the virus scan after I had to restart the computer but it works differently now. When I went to bed it was at 59 percent so I just left the computer on. The next morning there was no 5-digit number (the one earlier was about what I have been seeing) but it appeared the virus scan finished.
And this morning there was another notification telling me to restart. I clicked on it but nothing happened. When I got on the computer after lunch it was there again, but I won't restart when I'm ready to use it.
The computer froze. I was doing something and "tech support" came on and asked if I needed help. I was willing to accept help until they wanted to see my screen. If they can do that, they can do things that I wouldn't want them to. Mysteriously, they disappear if I say no. They won't try to help without seeing the screen.
I paid my power bill yesterday but I was afraid I'd be late so I checked and I was asked if I wanted more time. I did have the option of giving them my bank information, so I did. There was a confirmation number but they went too fast and it was too long and even though they repeated it I couldn't write it down. But I got to the office where I could write a real check and I wrote a bigger one than I had planned to so it won't be late next time.
I saw the second Roy. This time it made me feel old because a theater that closed shortly after I lived in the town has been restored and a bluegrass concert there sold out. The footage from when it was still a theater looked like it was from a long time ago. Maybe it was, but it sounded like they were saying it was from when I lived there.
I saw the mouse and put out a new glue trap. I haven't seen the mouse since but I might have heard it.
I got a break from the train. I did not hear it come back through one night. And one morning it came through after sunrise. Then one night it came through very late even when it first came through. How loud is it? I'm always watching TV and I have to go back to actually hear, and I'm three houses away.
My TV was acting up earlier in the week but it seems to be doing better now. I thought I would have to move it and replace it with the other one. and these are old and heavy.
They're working on the main road which has been annoying. I was always able to walk across even though sometimes I had to wait for traffic to pass. I went around yesterday and I did get stopped by the flag person coming home early this week. Today, I couldn't walk across because it would mess up my shoes. That happened before in a similar situation but no one warned me. They were shoes I could mess up but it's better not to.

I heard a train last night a long way off but it never passed through, going in either direction.
I got my newspaper TV section this week on Friday. Last week it didn't come until Monday. There's nothing I can do on the weekend, although I should actually look on Friday. I just go out for the paper on Saturday to pretend it still comes on Saturday.
No mouse but I did see "evidence", but I don't know how long that's been there.
Computer froze several times yesterday but at least I wasn't in the middle of something big.
Refrigerator was open enough for the light to come on several times when I got up. That means it has been that way all night. I had a hard time getting it to close and stay closed but that problem seems to have been solved.

Virus scan did fine. I forgot to look at the number of files but it was a 72 percent when I finally got around to looking up something I forgot and finished when I went to bed.
Computer froze a couple of times this week. And the Internet went out five minutes after I got on the computer. I'm grateful it didn't happen five minutes earlier, but it was one of those cases where unplugging the modem and plugging it back in worked.
I got one night off from the train and then it was back last night, so loud I had to rewind what i was watching on TV, and then of course the return trip was much later.
The trash truck didn't come through until today.
I put out bait and the bait was gone but the glue trap had no mouse. I also saw "evidence" one other night but no evidence since I checked the glue trap.
I got my TV section today.
Road work is taking place several places. I got stopped for the longest time but at least the flag person danced and appeared to be singing. Even though I was in front, I couldn't hear him. I've reported him to Roy (Chad) hoping for a story. Speaking of which, I saw Roy both times but I think I had some minor problems on Monday. I got "Searching for signal" the second time for reasons I've never understood, because the signal was nearly perfect when I figured out how.
And they're nearly finished paving where I live, but I had to wait and wait and wait. I should have remembered to go around. The man in the truck told the other man where to move one of the signs to.
I finally found good quality square paper towels in a single roll package. I opened one not knowing if it was good quality, and while I don't know whether it's like the regular Bounty, it's better than what I've been using. But in the store getting another, I was in the longest line. I heard the cashier say he was the only cashier. he called a man to help him and then the man went back to doing what he had been doing. As soon as I was next, THEN that man opens another cash register.

I may have had the computer freeze once but it has been a while.
Mouse appeared and then stole the glue trap. It struggled for a short time and then I didn't hear anything. I didn't find it (but I did find several glue traps) and now I'm hoping I won't. I may have heard it last night.
I was premature saying I had found good quality paper towels. When put to a real test they don't work.
Recycling was just picked up. It's supposed to be on Thursday. The good news is more stuff got included.
Some content was missing from where I read online newspapers. I contacted the people hoping the content would be preserved. they told me where it was being moved to and the missing content was not there. But guess what was? Every Charlotte Observer newspaper that I could ever want to see! I don't have to go back to the college I graduated from. I'm still concerned about the preservation of the other content. It's not in the real newspaper but it has been where I look at those newspapers for as long as I've had the ability to do that.

I remembered the virus scan but when it finished it didn't give me a number so I don't know if I succeeded in getting it to do a full scan. Sometimes it's a partial scan because I did something wrong.
I can't remember the last time the computer froze.
I had to use the remote to watch Roy (Chad) when I turned on the TV and it was on that channel that doesn't work. Since there are only two tuners and I record from two different channels that work, I don't know what's going on.
Trash was picked up at the normal time and I got my TV section.
The online newspaper content problem was solved.

Not only are trains still coming through at night but the return trip is now the louder one.
I can't recall any definite proof the mouse has been back.

Roy (Chad) did fine yesterday.
The train was back last night, as loud as possible long after midnight. Someone should do something.
I don't know if Parade magazine was supposed to come but I didn't get one and the library where I went yesterday didn't get one. There are several days when there isn't one.
I saw the mouse and put a trap where I last saw it. All I know is there has been evidence of the mouse's presence and the trap never catches it.
I saw a cricket or something similar in the bathroom and thought I squashed it. Maybe I did. But I heard one at night in the kitchen.
