You know.....I've never been either a "Dean girl" or a "Sam girl." I love both characters and believe it takes both of them to make the show so successful. But I have about had it (reading other threads) with the Sam girls who find it necessary to bash Dean because they don't think their favorite is being treated properly in the storyline. I mean, come on....is it really necessary for one character to be beaten down by fans so that you feel the character you're more fond of gets better treatment by writers over whom we have no control?? OK....rant over.

But most times I visit this site, I can expect to find someone taking jabs at Dean due to either a general dislike of the character or due to their frustrations over Sam's "lack of POV, or screentime". But it seems to be acceptable behavior, so oh well.

Many times, a few motivated fans might at times yell louder than the average fan, that doesn't mean it's the preferred view - there is room for everyone here, as long as we respect eachother and remember we all like the same show. I hope you don't turn your back on us entirely, your input is never unwelcome!

Ha! But I find I must be careful posting that opinion lest I be smote unmercifully! Pfft your karma has nothing on my karma! Perhaps so, I don't keep careful track of others karma "points." I've decided to opt out of it since I lost 4 points in less than 24 hours of writing my opinion that some people are WAY too involved in a single character on the show.

Aaaw, well thank goodness we made them optional! I have a dream that instead of my infamous 666 posts on the old CW before I closed my main account, I shall reach 666 karma! Though at this rate I think I might have better luck aiming for the - 666 That actually feels more "right" as well I would exalt you..but you took away my big red button!

I understand why some don't feel welcome to post here if they have positive views of Dean, when it seems the majority just want to bash him. It feels like an uphill battle, for sure.

The OP of this thread has made it quite clear it's not to be a debate thread.
If you want to argue or post anything that is off topic, this is not the thread to do it in.

This being the "All Things Dean," let me say that I find him to be adorable. Don't all the girls have a soft spot in their hearts for bad boys? And he's not all bad -- he is exceedinly noble. I can still remember Dean saying to Sam in "Wendigo"..."saving people, hunting things. The family business." I always thought that the order he put saving and hunting in was very significant. His first thought is to save people. Hunting is secondary. <sigh>

Being raised by sociopaths and all, let's just say I have no romantic illusions! *Sigh*. Yes, Dean is very noble, he was the knight in shining armor. Wish I could see that again!

Well, I certainly wasn't referring to sociopathic personages. Dean isn't a bad person, just......damaged. And I suppose it's his smiling, don't worry I can take care of everything, nothing bothers me attitude I was referring to. Sociopaths and psychopaths are a horse of a different color, entirely.

Logically and rationally I know people distinguish between "bad boys" and sociopaths, or they think they do, but emotionally it's a kick in the gut because "bad boys" gets used so interchangeably with real sociopaths that in my lowest and weakest I can't tell the difference. I'm not going to go all pee-cee nazi on you, believe me I think the whole pee-cee crap is ruining this great country. I love Dean's smile of "don't worry I can take care of everything, nothing bothers me attitude" that used to make me melt into goo. I want his smile back as much as the amulet back!

Well, time for another new episode tonight. Hope Deand and Sam are as awesome as always. But Dean ususally is. Waiting for the whining to begin that "Sam's POV isn't being properly explored."

After seeing the preview of tonight's episode, I'm worried for Dean. Sam looks helpless as Dean lies there unconscious. HELP DEAN, SAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jeez, I am so tired of Sam girls constantly boosting the character they favor by belittling Dean.

I'm hoping that when the new episodes resume on March 16 that Dean will be back to his old self. Enough with the sadness over Castiel and Bobby. I want him to do what Frank told him. Get through each day and smile. Or get out of the demon hunting business.
I just miss the old Dean.

Dean is smokin hot but his new leather jacker sucks big time. Who in God's name came up with that lame-o jacket. It looks too small on him. Don't they have a costume department that could sew up a decent replica of the old leather jacket?

I don't like the new jacket either. Just hitting up a thrift store a few times last year I found several jackets that are a lot closer to the original from the show. The new one is just...bleh.
