Anyone else here praying that the show's writers/creators/producers bring back the old Dean? The cocky, confident, kick'n ass and takin' names, Dean?

Me! That's the Dean that made the show so very popular. The personalities are what made the Winchesters popular, and we want the Dean that adds excitement to every scene.

I'm glad to hear both Jensen and Jared say (at Comic Con) that flashbacks would explore Dean's time in Purgatory. It will be interesting to see how the bad guy that gets out of Purgatory with Dean figures in future episodes. We hear that this character, I think his name is Barry(?), is a re-curring character, so that means that perhaps there will be a lot of story to tell about Purgatory and Dean's time there.

Dean looks like a clean-cut all-American boy who would grow up to be an accountant or attorney. But he grew up to become an adorable hunk of man.

During the press event for SUPERNATURAL at the 2012 San Diego Comic Con, SUPERNATURAL producers talked about one particular episode of the upcoming season that they are very keen on.

Series writer Ben Edlund said that he wrote episode 5 of Season 8 that focuses on vampires on boats.

“Technically, they are vampirates,” he says. “It is about drinking blood of victims without further ramifications. It is the first script I turned in on time in the years I have been on SUPERNATURAL.”
