Happy January birthday. Celebrate it, be joyful, otherwise life passes you by. After all we only live once. Plenty of time to rest when we're gone.

Yay!!! Glad to see the thread got moved to its proper home. I hope we'll be able to talk about many topics that "the youngsters" just don't get: like records and tape recorders and televisions with only 13 channels. Remember when shows began shooting in color and made it a part of their introduction each week? "And now, in color..........'That Girl!'" one day at work I was talking about how I still had some 45's and the kid thought I was talking about guns... and is it horrible that I remember 8track? seriously in my lifetime I went thru records,8tracks,cassette,cd's to mp3's...technology has moved really fast I had a small black and white Tv when I was younger....and I'm proud to say that I havent yet upgraded to a flat screen tv just yet... ok maybe not proud,but yeah I still have my old tv...LOL @sarah so any ideas on what I could do for a crisis party? @purpledragon - *runs out to buy shark cartilage* thanks for that info

I am so sad right now guys...I'm really loving this board...and I would LOVE for ALL my friends to be here...but *sigh* Some still carry the old CW grudges.,... I created the CFC in hopes it would make them feel more welcome...but I'm not sure its going to work... I really hate that everyone is seperated...I hate having 8 boards to keep in touch with everyone.... its why I really love this board,because its not just for supernatural,and you all said all thoughts and opinions are welcome... but I'm thinking its going to be an issue...

Mags this board was a collaboration of Smallville, Main forum, and Supernatural (Anicat is an admin here!) posters from the CW. The creator of The Evicted doesn't even watch Supernatural but he respects our passion. Everyone is welcome. The person that currently mods the Supernatural forum, Purpledragon, is Cas neutral. I know how you feel. I wish I could get TVD fans here because I hate belonging to multiple forums. well if we could get surf here...we could maybe get more TVD fans.... maybe if I tell my friends that anicat is an admin they'll be more likely to come...having an admin that also loves cas would be a big help... yeah belonging to multiple forums really sucks....I hate it...I'm even admin on one...but I have to admit to liking this one better...I hope tens doesnt get mad at me,but this is just so much more like home. Thanks now I'll make sure they know about anicat... ;D

That's awesome you feel that way Mags. That's exactly what we wanted to create. People can say that CWL was a negative place or whatever but we were a family there. I'm going to direct Mistermoonlight to your feedback. He will love it! It was his idea to keep some CWL green for nostalgic reasons. I LOVE that he did that!! :heart: It really does feel like home here...and you know I agree. people can say the CWL was negative...and yeah we argued and said how we felt even if we didnt like something...BUT we were a FAMILY And Bobby was right...family isnt about making you feel good 24/7...sometimes family ticks you off,and makes you scream. But in the end ,when it mattered we all came together...

I do reserve the right to post in both CSS & CFC w/out getting whompped myself. I just really want to answer questions and be snarky and enjoy this little show we all love called Supernatural. Is that too much to ask?

I was speaking to my 21yr old co-worker about the CWL shutting down and she didn't know what a message board was!!! She's FREAKING 21!! She has an iphone!!! She thinks Wikipedia is the new Britannica but she doesn't know what a message board is?

I put the word out about anicat being admin on twitter,to my cas friends....but I'll let them know your cas neutral as well... OMG...I know what you mean...my niece is 22 and she doesnt know what a messege board is...she acts like i'm weird because I go to messege boards....*sigh* where did I go wrong?

AND the reason--it's the people. They're our family. They're our home. And we want them all back. Even the ones we couldn't stand. Because, after what's happened to us, we're all family now. P.S. There's a wonderful PBS documentary called George Harrison: Living in the Material World, directed by Martin Scorsese, that you should force those folks to watch.

@sarah & Mags
I take the shark cartilage for my ankle. The outside tendon is bad and it helps way more that the triple strength Glucosamine, Chondroitin stuff my mother takes for her joints. I take 2 740mg capsules a day and I buy it @ vitaminworld.com or vitaminshoppe.com whoever has the better deal when I need it. It's kinda expensive but worth it because my ankle gets so bad I can't walk sometimes and the doctor fights me on prescribing anti-inflammatories (Darvocet is the only other thing that works).
I read somewhere about the cinnamon lubricating the joints, I can't remember where. I take 2 500mg capsules/day. If you take several vitamins or pills take them in the middle so your not burping cinnamon clouds! I get that @ Wal-Mart.

I get that they went to school for all this stuff but we know our bodies better than they do; they should listen to us! The Ortho doc didn't want to prescribe the Darvocet so she told me to take: 4-Aleeve and 8-Tylenol because that was prescription strength They're complaining about people ODing on acetaminophen but she wants me 2 put 12 pills in me instead of just 1 that would knock the pain out and I could rest which would make it feel even better. When the pain was at its worst I was popping that Aleve-Tylenol cocktail everyday! How good was that for my stomach? I hope the Shark cartilage helps. You're not allergic to fish or shellfish are you? You can't take it if you are. Depending on how sensitive your tummy is the cinnamon might bother it a little as well. If it does try taking it w/food or milk.

Mags-I've only found it in vitamin specific shops like Vitamin World. I haven't ever seen it in Wal-Mart or the grocery store. They might have it @ your local drug store. If you have a good relationship with your pharmacist they might order it for you or ask who ever does the ordering to get it.

Yay!!! Glad to see the thread got moved to its proper home. I hope we'll be able to talk about many topics that "the youngsters" just don't get: like records and tape recorders and televisions with only 13 channels. Remember when shows began shooting in color and made it a part of their introduction each week? "And now, in color..........'That Girl!'" Eight track tapes, waiting each week for NEW episodes of Star Trek, VHF/UHF channels...pet rocks and Chatty Cathys. Hip huggers, puka shells, Jolt Cola, the free balloons you used to get at Jack in the Box if you were a kid...

I was so bummed when they took Darvocet off the market. I swear it has helped me heal from a horrible car wreck in 98. I read a study that it helped bones and joint healing, so they take it off the market as a pain releiver. Lol. Never got high on Darvocet, but the others the doctors promote I refuse to take. Lost too many family and friends to Percocet. Will definately try the shark cartilage.

Lost too many family and friends to Percocet. Will definately try the shark cartilage. Nothing helps my ankle the way the Darvocet did! I can take 2 Percs and have no pain anywhere else but my ankle is still screaming! Big honking Vicodins don't work either! It's crazy to take a pain killer and feel okay except for one part, the part you took the damn pill for! I think eventually I'll have to get a new tendon. Supposedly there's nothing but a severe sprain. All the scans & x-rays are 'clean'. It's never going to heal right anyway because it's pretty inconceivable to stay off your feet for any length of time.
