Supernatural Season 8 Party Thread!

What I am really hoping for in season 8 is a return to Dean and Sam being the main focus of each episode. The guest actors shouldn't take over leaving the boys to react to them.

Maybe the new show runner will do that......please???

I am very happy about a S8. I think it's true that Castiel will be in S8, but I am sure Dean and Sam will remain the central focus. I have always viewed Bobby and all of the angels as supporting cast and Supernatural is a show where the supporting cast won the hearts of the fans.

As regards Castiel....I was hoping that his vanishing during RIF with his saying that he "doesn't fight anymore," he "watches bees," meant that he was going to be gone forever.
And in a way I hope so. We've had angels involved with Dean and Sam since season 4. I think that's enough. They've dragged that particular storyline 2 seasons too many regardless of how popular Misha was as an actor.
I'm less happy with how Bobby might be involved. Ghost Bobby has the real possibility of becoming a running joke. And I hope they don't treat a beloved character that way. It's already a little silly.
Well, with all that -- I am SO looking forward to another season! As Dean would say, "Bring it!"

I'm already dreading summer hellatus. I should be looking forward to the final two episodes of the season, and I am, really, I am, but knowing there are only two left has me in a bit of a funk.

If only CW didn't have so MANY breaks during the season, it wouldn't be so bad, but this season was SO chopped up.

Okay, okay, at least this year, we're getting 23 episodes, but that doesn't make up for season 3, when we only got 18, due to the stupid writers strike.

Okay, rant over.

I wouldn't mind as much if Grimm was going to be on, but they take a break at the same time as Supernatural. I'll rewatch episodes on DVD and maybe spend more time reading.

Will they repeat the season during the break?
