After I disabled photos, I was shocked to see one while reading. I just find photos distracting since all I mainly want to do is read.
My first thought was that maybe the site signed me out like The CW did if I forgot for a while when doing something else and then came back. Apparently that's not it.
I know you all love your smilies. I'm happier without them, thanks.
Edit: It's only happening with threads I've visited prior to setting my preferences, but if that was it I wouldn't be getting pages with 30 posts either. And I delete my history frequently.

I just checked on the ProBoards support forum to see if I could find out more about this issue, but so far I haven't found anything. We'll keep investigating, though.

There was a link to a thread about PMs but it didn't work. It said I wasn't connected to the Internet, which is a long way from a 404 error.

Kyle I just bumped the original PM thread on the main forum. You should see it at the top. It's called "Your PMs" Thanks. The link worked that time. I also got an "Internal Server Error" message once when I tried to edit.

Every now and then you'll run into a server problem here on ProBoards. But nothing nearly as bad as the lost posts you got all the time when trying to post at the CW Lounge. Here, you can always backlick and get back to what you posted.

I just got an error message "Internet Explorer has stopped working". I did click on "Back" and was on a screen where I hadn't signed in. There was a place to click for more information, but this is not particularly helpful:
What is Data Execution Prevention?
Data Execution Prevention (DEP) is a security feature that can help prevent damage to your computer from viruses and other security threats. Harmful programs can try to attack Windows by attempting to run (also known as execute) code from system memory locations reserved for Windows and other authorized programs. These types of attacks can harm your programs and files.
DEP can help protect your computer by monitoring your programs to make sure that they use system memory safely. If DEP notices a program on your computer using memory incorrectly, it closes the program and notifies you.

You are in danger of being Biebered, as well...we will be patient as it sounds like you are trying, but do not delay It was suggested to me that I should always use the url from either under the image, or over on the right hand side of the page depending on which page you are on, labled "IMG Code". Try that... soon...dun, dun, duuuunnn...

Underneath the photo on Photobucket, when you move your cursor over it, you'll see a choice that says 'direct link'. If you click on it, that will copy the url to your clipboard. Then go to profile, modify profile, click on the Avatar URL space, then hit Ctrl-V, and it will copy the url into the space. Right now there's nothing in that space on your profile. Alternatively, just above that, you can click on gallery and just click on one of the ones stored there to add it.

I voted in a poll (or thought I did) and my votes aren't showing up.
Edit: I voted again and now they're there, and it's not letting me vote again. I don't know what I did.

Regarding the above problem, it's not supposed to let me vote again if my vote really went through. Just to make that clear.
I got an Internal Server Error when I tried to sign in. It still sent me to the main page.

When there's multiple pages listed for a thread in the thread menu and I click on one of the page numbers, it doesn't reliably take me to that page. Is that intentional?
Also copying and pasting text from posts is really hard. Unless there's some trick I haven't figured out, that makes quoting from multiple posts really hard. Is there some reason it is the way it is or some way to change it?
In case it matters, the browser I'm using is Chrome.
ETA: Never mind about the quoting complaint. I just tried it now and it was fine. Either you guys have fixed it since or there was just something wrong with my comp/browser/mind the day I tried it before. It's perfectly fine now.

The page thing happens to me as well. I can click on a certain page and it doesn't go there. I can click on the thread title and it randomly takes me to the first or last page. We'll try to find out why this is happening. I use IE or my Android phone and it happens on both. Sent from my SPH-D710 using ProBoards I've been having the problem too, with IE9.

I cannot be absolutely certain, but I believe you are being taken to the last post you actually read, so if there are three pages, but the last post you viewed is on page 2, clicking 3, re-routs you to 2. I have noticed this, too, and am pretty sure that is the reason.

I'm pretty sure I have noticed it when signed in, but I haven't actually put it to the test...I will try to figure it out.

That's as it should be. The ProBoards default is to take you to the first page of a thread. Once you've logged in, our code update takes you to the last unread post in a thread. Nothing we do as far as coding affects you if you're viewing as a guest and haven't logged in.

I've never seen this happen here.
It is normal behavior for me to click on a topic, read its latest posts, and click on "Back" to get back to the list of topics.
After having an updated list, I end up back on the list that was there early in the day. Every single time.

I got a message that there was a problem and the tab was closed and reopened. That's all I know. We know it wasn't an ad.
I still haven't figured out what caused my computer to shut down a few weeks ago.

It's not a glitch. The forum is 'Other CW Shows' and that list is a list of sub-forums. There is a sub-forum for each show.

Yes. But shouldn't i just be able to click on the show that i want instead of being shown a list and having to click it again? I'm saying from the main show board. If i click on any show on the "Other CW Shows" i'm sent back to the list of shows.
*edit
Then i have to click the show i want to go to that board. My 1st example was 90210 but it could be any of them.

Oh, I see what you mean now. I honestly don't know why they don't automatically become links to the actual forum. Hopefully that will change when the next version comes out.

Has anyone ever seen the angry bear page? I couldn't link to it because the URL was the one I wanted to link to.
Someone has marked out the words "angry bear" and said the problem is too many people trying to access the servers. Somehow I don't think that's a common problem here.

It is a common problem beyond our control, fortunately, it does not happen very often. When it does, it's a problem with the proboards servers, not us.
