I think we all do. They took our history away, but this is the place where we get it back.
Still to come in my narrative are the Stormtrooper days at the CW Lounge, after SusieQ and Maxine left, the short renaissance that some got to experience when Susie and Maxine moved over to the revamped WB site, and the sudden closing of it, the horror of the day when they told us they were closing the CW Lounge in 24 hours, our migration of 72 souls back to the abandoned WB site, its subsequent closing, and our eventual haven here. It's almost as convoluted as Lost was!

To be honest, I don't think I even knew you guys were going to the WB... and yet, I found you guys, I'll post that part of the story in a little bit.

Moderator Theme Songs:
"Caroline Simmons’ Theme" (Based Upon "Sweet Caroline" by Neil Diamond)
When you began I can't begin to know It seems you’ve been here all along.
Was in the spring? And spring became the summer. All that I know, my posts are gone!
Hands, typing hands, Reaching out, Editing me, Editing you.
Sweet Caroline Making sure that we are good. I've been inclined To type things I never should.
But now I Look at the boards And they don't seem so smutty. We fill it up and you undo. And when I swear Soon my post says “Gosh Dang It.” I don’t offend because of you.
Calm, preventing harm, Reachin' out, Editin' me, Editin' you.
Sweet Caroline Making sure that we are good. I've been inclined To type things I never should.
Sweet Caroline

“The Candyce Mod” (Based on “The Candy Man” by Sammy Davis Jr.)
Who can take a swear word Posted by troll Prue Make it un-offensive With a small edit or two?
The Candyce mod. The Candyce mod can. The Candyce mod can because she edits posts with love And makes the boards stay good.
Who can take a spammed board Clean it before you see All the nasty postings Falsely credited to me?
The Candyce mod. The Candyce mod can. The Candyce mod can because she edits posts with love And makes the boards stay good.
Carolyn was fun But she had to run Scared by all the trolls so vicious That they’re pictured by the word “pernicious” In the dictionary pages.
So who kicked all those trolls out? Banned them one by one But tolerates us nuts So the boards can still be fun?
The Candyce mod. The Candyce mod did! The Candyce mod did because she edits posts with love And makes the boards stay good.
=================================
Hmmm.
I thought I typed:
"So who kicked all those trolls out? Banned them all to Hell And opened up the windows To air out the foul smell?"
But the version that is up there now is much nicer. Hmmmmm.

OMG, these songs deserve to be sung, and videos as well!
I think what you show here is that in the days of the WB we loved  our mods, and we felt loved by them.
And that's what we're trying to recreate here at The Evicted!

David, exactly which Prue were you referring to? Me (TruePrue2) or Sonja (VioletPrue)?

David, exactly which Prue were you referring to? Me (TruePrue2) or Sonja (VioletPrue)? It was a really early Prue that totally hated Smallville and was enraged about Roswell ending. I think she had a sister whose screen name was made up of the first letter of each Roswell character's names. She was very intelligent but used all of her efforts to piss off people on the Smallville board which caused many conflicts with the Moderators and led to her being permanently banned. I doubt it was you. She was probably a member in 2002 and 2003.

What was frustrating for me was when we had a big Moderator changeover after the boards were well established and the new Moderators didn't know the peace makers from the fighters. So when I got accused, the new Mods didn't know me and wouldn't allow me to defend myself on the board and wouldn't censor or ban the people attacking me. That was hard to take after being a strong voice and peacemaker on the board for so long.

Gee David, your being there in the early 2000s is kinda akin to being present at the Big Bang (and no, Aeryn, I'm not talking about that incident of yours with the Rolling Stones.)

I know that David was around when I joined the WB and he was like a constant person to always give you the background information on various topics and I know I tried asking Susie if I could be a mod on the WB boards but she explained they already had enough mods on the boards and the subject was dropped.

Mistermoonlight, I believe I'm correct that I sent you the text of the CW newbie thread in a series of emails. If not, do you want it? And if I haven't sent it I haven't figured out where it is yet. I'm still sorting through everything that I had to save in a hurry without giving thought to how I was doing it.
I just sent you parts two through four of the WB newbie thread. I'm on a computer with Firefox which can handle those huge emails better. Unfortunately, Gmail is a royal pain to figure out and very long emails that are part of the same conversation cannot be found using computers like I was using the last time I sent you anything. It took me a while to realize I sent you the same thing twice, so ignore the first one that says it's the newbie thread part two. Although it's the same as the newbie thread part one I sent you last week.
A quick glance at what I sent you today shows that there is some very valuable stuff which will make its way to this thread eventually.

I just sent some huge emails to Mistermoonlight as part of the process to make sure I could easily access everything I kept from the WB and CW sites. I was having a hard time last week because the email address where I saved a lot of stuff from the WB site made some changes which make large emails that were part of the same conversation (same sender and subject line, which I didn't see any problem with at the time) a royal pain to access, and on the computer I was on last week, impossible. The first post in this thread is something I saw in a quick glance at what I sent Mistermoonlight. So you can be sure there's lots more stuff like this to come. .
Moved from a thread where it's off topic to one where it's on-topic, even though this seems to be a repeat of a post you've already made here. Please don't post the same thing in different threads. There's no need for it, and in completely unrelated threads it's known as 'hijacking.' ---Moon.

Got them all, and I agree, the best place for them is right here in our group history thread, as they give great insight as to how things were at our original home, The WB Forum!

I first joined the WB boards way back in 2004. I was a mostly a lurker for little over a year, posting a few times under my original account. I made another account roughly seven years ago this month, gghevn7. I had pretty good times on the WB boards! I made some pretty good friendships that, unfortunately, no longer exists. It was mostly the shifting to the CW boards that did it, among other things. I joined the CW boards about a week after it was set up under an embarassing username which I will not mention! Sorry! But if you figure out who I am, great for you! Just don't mention the username. And today, thanks to two people that have become members on here, have directed me to this forum!
