I agree. She even looked suspicious when she saw her husband watching her from the window. He must have noticed her reaction because he was very apologetic.

The beginning of the episode was stomach-churning brutal. Reddington and Liz were impressive in a hostile environment. I was excited with much anticipation to see how they were going to pull off the sham and get out alive. I hardly blinked because I did not want to miss anything. It was well played and I had faith in Reddington to accomplish his goal. He IS good at what he does.Red had some very telling lines that convince me he is related to Liz. He was so sincere when he said to her “I believe I will always do whatever I feel I have to do to keep you alive.” And when Liz said she has a life, Red responded “I have you.” Ooh…I can’t wait for the great reveal. I know. The more he says the more I think he HAS to be her father! Even when he replied to her...when she asked...why her? What did she mean to him?
And he said...It has to do with your father.
That would be true even if he was her father.I am not sure who authorized the bugs in Liz’s home or who the wasteful apple-chomping dude is. I enjoyed the smooth way the men stayed out of sight when the lady returned for her bag. If they do not work for Red...then they have to be after her husband.Although it is clear the gun that Liz found was involved in a high-profile homicide, it is not clear if the gun belonged to Tom. She should have checked it for fingerprints too. Then she would have known.Brain fart: It is not believable that a trained agent would interfere with a brutal spy who is beating one of his employees. Seemed like a sure way to get both Red and herself killed. Other than that, I think it was an excellent thrill ride. This was totally in line with Red's character. First, they accused him and her...then they accused their own man...then they beat on their own man...and Red would get bored as they wait to leave...so he kills the guy they are beating so they can leave. Problem solved.
No one would suspect.

Yes, that was a revealing response but she is too puzzled to see it yet.I am not sure who authorized the bugs in Liz’s home or who the wasteful apple-chomping dude is. No one would suspect.Good observation. The only time I had some concern was when the spy said he had to kill one of Red's people since Red killed one of his. Needless to say, I loved Red's response to that and we all know he was not bluffing.

I think Liz husband is undercover working for someone bad. I am also leaning in that direction, but one thing about that does puzzle me. I think Reddington knows exactly who her husband is and he does not seem concerned about her being in the house with Tom.

The Stewmaker I enjoyed this exciting episode. Lizzie used her profiler skills to slow down a dangerous man who was one of Red's "most dangerous" people. Reddington used superb deduction to locate the Stewmaker in order to rescue Lizzie. He then did something that Lizzie hated and she called him a monster. Favorite line from Red: Lizzie: How can you live with yourself? Red: By saving you.Red has made it very clear that his goal is to be close to Liz, help her and keep her from harm.

The Courier
I forgot to talk about this one. This is definitely one of the shows that I look forward to seeing each week.
The courier is a blacklister that has a unique code in his line of work. He will play middleman in criminal transactions, but if any person betrays the other, he will kill both parties.
No one knew what he looked like, but Red alerted Liz's team to find one of the people involved in the illegal transaction.
In addition to that, Liz's husband is very upset that she moved his hidden cache of weapons and passports. Red gave her a copy of Tom's file that was not altered.
The crap will hit the fan next week, that's for sure.
It was a very exciting episode.

You're welcome, Jeff. Gina ZanetakosThe Blacklist continues to be one of my favorite new shows. The episode is a stand-alone case but it also continues the story arcs of Tom's double life and what is Red’s true interest in Liz. The episode showed corporate greed at its absolute worst. Gina Zanetakos was hired to blow up a port with a radioactive bomb so that another port would receive all the shipments and increase their market share. Everyone within a five-mile radius would have been affected. According to Reddington, corporations had been hiring assassins for years. Oh…the horror of it all! I like the way Liz kept going to Red because she was distraught and did not know who else she could talk to. When she told him she did not know who she could trust, it really touched my heart when Red folded his hand over hers and said “You can trust me.” I believed him. I remember in the previous episode that Tom discovered his cache was missing before Liz returned home. But in this episode Liz was uncertain whether or not Tom was guilty. Something must have been edited that would have shown why she was uncertain. But she did the right thing anyway. Tom is a very convincing liar and I still do not know what his end game is. I think Red was telling the truth when he said Gina is Tom's lover, but now Liz is angry with Red. I laughed when the guy who is watching them on video said to his partner “Now you show up on time. I wanted to see the make-up sex.”

I enjoyed this show so much. A brilliant scientist, Frederick Barnes, intentionally released a deadly gas on a train and in a courtroom. The FBI team needed to find him in a hurry before he killed more people. Liz has not been answering Red’s calls so he called a tip line to give her information on the killer. Liz refused to travel with Red because she is still angry that he implicated her husband in a murder. I was disappointed that Liz’s decisions let the killer escape, but I am sure she will redeem herself. She is still a rookie in the field and would not even be on high profile cases if Red was not helping her. Following the lecture her partner gave her about rules, I was not surprised that Liz did not permit the killer to use the formula he made. Red is so sweet to Liz in spite of the way she treats him and he brought her a souvenir from the trip. Red said he understood how Barnes could do what he did to save someone he cares about and Liz wondered if Red was relating that to his feelings for her. Of course he was. When Liz continued to act snooty, I am glad he told her he was not going to beg her to let him help her. All she had to do was to tell him to go and he would disappear. She could not bring herself to tell him to go and I will be happy to see them working together again. I would not be surprised if Reddington handled all bad memories and disappointments the same way he erased the house in which he raised his family. Liz has obviously forgiven her husband and Tom is playing the gentle, understanding, loving husband in a convincing way. I want to know what his end game is almost as much as I want to understand the link between Liz and Red.
O/T It was difficult for me to see Frederick Barnes as a murderous scientist because he was played by Dr. House's BFF who was an extremely nice guy.

I think it is the man she refers to as "dad". Maybe he is not her biological father, but that is a mystery. Maybe we will find out tonight.

General Ludd
This was another good episode. The case was about a vengeful former union worker who lost his job because of corporate greed. He blew up some airplanes and stole a new mint plate for $100 bills.
Red agreed to help the FBI if they would let him use their VICOM network. Red knew the people who could lead them to the perpetrator and he helped them solve the case.
Then Red and his body guard waited for the thief at the airport and took the mint plate from him. I was rather surprised that Red kept the plate for his own personal gain. Lizzy was not happy about that but he did not turn it over to her.
Lizzy’s father had cancer and would soon die. Tom went to the hospital and while he was sitting outside, Red joined him at the table. It was obvious Tom did not recognize Reddington. Red made some cryptic remarks to Tom stating that Lizzy’s father would always be watching over her, etc. That amused me because Tom thought Red was giving him some strange condolences, but I know they were threats.
This is my guess about the relationship between Reddington and Lizzy: …When Lizzy was 4 years old, Red became a criminal (don’t know why but might be the reason he blew up his house). …His friend Sam did him a favor and adopted Lizzy and raised her as a single parent. …Red learned Sam was sick about 3 months ago and came in from the cold. …Red insinuated himself into Lizzy’s life and helps her with her career. …Sam wants to tell Lizzy that Red is her father. …Red killed Sam, maybe to keep him from telling Lizzy or maybe to keep him from suffering.
