That's great. Moon and I took a guess as to who the mole is. Jeff, who would be your #1 guess?

Someone on another website said "Blacklist? They ought to call it The Crack-list, because I'm addicted!" I'm trying to be patient as I await the new episode becoming available for me to view. UPDATE: Watching now.

There is one advantage to living on the East Coast.
Great episode. I need to sleep on it so my brain can process the information overnight.
I still do not know who the FBI mole is.

That was one hell of an opening scene. OUCH!

The opening scene certainly was horrific and it becomes even more thrilling.
We do know who the FBI mole is. Too much happened for my brain to process it right away. I needed to relax for a moment.

I'm about a third of the way through the episode, but we're seeing a much more violent view of Reddington than before. He's killed so many people in this episode.
Glad to hear we find out who it is.

I knew tonight's show would be "Rampaging Reddington".
NO way he was going to let ANY of what happened those last couple of episode slide.

I knew tonight's show would be "Rampaging Reddington". NO way he was going to let ANY of what happened those last couple of episode slide. Great point. I agree. That's definitely the reason. I think on some level a lot of us guys would love to be Red Reddington, and have that amazing encyclopedic knowledge of the world, in spite of the risks. and the cost of your very soul. Red very much enjoys his life, yet is willing to risk it when necessary. That gives him an extra dimension and makes him complex. A worthy successor to Walter White. And perhaps a smarter one.

Hey Jeff, I wondered about Tom also, but none of us guessed right. The person inside Reddington's organization who worked against him was his valet. Newton
The mole inside the FBI was actually Mr. Fitch, who is played by Alan Alda. They were able to fool me because I did not know he was with the FBI when he talked to Red in the previous episode. Fitch

I knew tonight's show would be "Rampaging Reddington". NO way he was going to let ANY of what happened those last couple of episode slide. Some highlights for "Rampaging Reddington". Red goes about finding the leak the only way he knows how: making a list and killing every person on it, and anybody who gets in his way, and then, also, anybody who looks at him funny and/or exists within his line of vision. Johnny Cash’s “The Man Comes Around” starts playing, Revelations 6:1 intro included, as Red questions the underlings from Anslo Garrick’s infiltration, and it is just the best song choice. There’s a man goin’ round takin’ names/He decides who to free and who to blame. Not to mention, Revelations is always terrifying, even more so when its verses play over images of the bodies of Red’s victims after he gets the information he needs. Red tailors his torture to a man named Fyodor by dousing him in vodka and threatening to light him on fire if he doesn’t tell him which banker financed Garrick’s mission with all those small bills. He finally caves -- it’s Gestalten Landesbank, of course -- and Red sticks a lit cigar in his mouth. But when he doesn’t immediately catch fire, he just shoots him. Red’s efficient that way. I couldn’t help it, I laughed. Aram arrives back at headquarters, where they still think he’s the mole, with evidence from Red on who the real leak is: It’s Newton Phillips. Agent Cooper speaks for us all when he says, “Who the hell is Newton Philips?” Well, Newton Philips is Red’s lurking lackey from earlier in the season, who Red must now kill in some sort of ceremonious plastic-bag-suffocating/river-drowning that James Spader somehow manages to make seem meaningful. We know that Alan Alda (AKA, Fitch) was behind it all from the last episode and we now know he sits at the government top dog table, acting as FBI Director Fowler’s boss.

The evil FBI guy (Fitch) threatened the valet's family and made him set Red up. Red killed everyone who was involved in his kidnapping, torture and the death of his friend. Not everyone; he did not kill Fitch.

Because the episode was so interesting and I felt that I missed something, I re-watched it. During our first glimpse of Red, when he is grieving over the body of his friend, Newton is standing quietly in the background. Red tells him to arrange transport for the body. When Red disposes of the ashes, Newton is standing quietly in the background. Red calls him to come forward and that is when Red reveals to Newton that he knows he betrayed him. During the first viewing, I was puzzled by Newton's reaction, but it makes sense now because Red acted so cool the entire time, Newton was not aware that Red knew he had been betrayed. Regarding the mole, the conversation between Fitch and the FBI Director Diane Fowler about her asset makes me realize she has her own personal mole on the team. We all know Meera is working for her, but I am now wondering if she was talking about someone else. Fitch made a big deal of demanding the name of her asset, but if he was able to orchestrate that kidnapping stunt, I think he would also know who the Director's asset is.

Does anyone outside of Red know the Mr Fitch is the mole? No one else knows. Apparently, both Red and Fitch have information on each other that would be used against them if either one of them dies. So they usually stay away from each other. Some things do not register with me that they are important; then I need to re-watch to understand why something happened.

Does anyone outside of Red know the Mr Fitch is the mole? ha Thank you, thank you, thank you. This was SO wonderful. I knew that the guy who played the serial killer looked familiar when I watched the episode. And now I know why. It was Frank Whaley. The guy in Quentin Tarantino's Pulp Fiction who is associated with Samuel L. Jackson's line "Check out the big brain on Brad." I can't put that video here because it's way beyond PG-13, but here's a shot from it. www.imdb.com/name/nm0001844/Who would have ever thought that Alan Alda would make such a great bad guy? Between this and his stint on The West Wing I continue to be amazed by him.
