I forgot to post here. I finally saw the finale. Wow, maybe they finally got rid of B613. But I find it hard to believe all the evidence of it is really gone.
And Fitz and Mellie are really broken up.
And hours later I had time to watch the season premiere. Wow.

So the First Lady is back in the White House and it's like nothing ever happened. And then Olivia goes and messes up everything. I felt sorry for her when the press caught up with her.
I really thought Mellie was through.
Red got her revenge. I liked the way Cyrus helped her. I wish he could get his job back and let Portia go back to Ellen.

Wow. This is really good television. Fitz has a choice to make. And Mellie might actually support impeaching him. I wish he'd hire Cyrus back and send his replacement back to Ellen. And I'm glad he changed his mind about Red.
The new guy in Olivia's company is really good, but of course he's upsetting his co-workers.

This is great TV. Cyrus finally makes The President an offer he can't refuse. Olivia would be the only other person who could get him out of this mess, but of course the mess is about her.
And Portia gets sent back to Ellen where she belongs! She was incompetent. At least Red is staying around.
Who knows when I'll see last night's?

Sometimes I think Fitz loves Olivia too much and she does not love him enough. I say that because he is willing to lose everything to be with her, but she does not want to give up her career. Fitz is so loving to Olivia and even said in front of Mellie that Olivia is the only woman he has ever truly loved. Wow!
I am glad the supporting players are all finally back in play.
Jake is not feeling friendly toward Olivia and is on the hunt to put a bullet in her father's head.
Papa Pope is out of jail and will no doubt cause mischief. However, he was the one who blackmailed the committee into dropping the impeachment hearing. Mellie really told Fitz off, and I am glad she got it off of her chest. She can now move on.
Olivia owes Mellie a big favor and I hope she does work on Mellie's campaign. There will be fireworks.
I am shocked that Olivia sleeps in the White House.
Cyrus has not lost his edge and is once again Chief of Staff.
David is safe and tries to advise Fitz and others, but it is difficult to keep them out of trouble.
I guess the Vice President will hang around a while.
I want to see the reaction of the former VP/President who has the TV program. I know she will be livid.

I did like it. Now as for whether this would qualify as one of my top ten favorite shows, that's not going to happen. It might have back when this was funny, which was why I started watching in the first place. Not much comedy these days, but it is there.
The veep looks like my new pastor, whose name happens to be Susan as well.
So much scheming and plotting, and Olivia's father was in danger. Even after what he did, that just wasn't right. I thought maybe they'd move him but I guess letting him go free was the only option.
I really thought the wedding would happen, but they figured out another way. It just didn't seem right anyway. That was a great scene with Mellie and Olivia in the tunnel. I wonder where that tunnel really is?
I have not seen last night's yet because I am really trying to keep looking at newspapers. It's going to be close. I haven't lost anything yet. The truth is I can probably delete all those "Jeopardy" reruns, but I need a way to know for sure about each episode. All I have is my memory of not missing any tournaments.

Olivia arrested! Who would have believed it? Even more amazing is that Fitz just let everything slide and did whatever it took to make sure Olivia wouldn't get in trouble. Has he learned nothing? But I'm glad he did what he did. Regardless of what Olivia's father did, they shouldn't just kill him.
And I was really hoping that translator who wanted asylum would get it. His intelligence was wrong, but his concerns were right. That could have been bad.
I guess someone has to clean up all that blood. Even when it's not real blood. I felt sorry for Olivia messing up that pretty coat.
I did enjoy watching Portia be humiliated. Not so with Cyrus.

I am surprised you wanted the translator to get it. Those people were using those supercomputers (or whatever they called it) to guide bombs to destroy our allies. I enjoyed the way Fitz handled the situation. He signed the treaty and had the secret site destroyed.

Baby, It’s Cold Outside (11-19-15)
Scandal was excellent. The ladies were spotlighted in their changed roles. Olivia was very unhappy that she had to play the role of First Lady at the White House. She was excellent in that role and some people (Cyrus, for one) were surprised that foreign dignitaries accepted her. She was very emotional and did something I was shocked to see. Maybe it had dramatic significance, but I wish they had left it out. She and Fitz had a disappointing holiday, but it was bound to happen.
Mellie was tired of being pushed around by the senior Senators and staged a one-woman filibuster of the budget bill. No one would help her and she could not stop to go to the bathroom or get food. I have to admire her tenacity in standing on the Senate floor with her shoes off and a hundred hostile people glaring at her because they wanted to go home for the holiday. I was happy to see the Vice President come in and take the leader’s seat so Mellie could run to the bathroom. Olivia was wearing the white hat again when she facilitated the rescue. Well done.
The V.P.’s Chief of Staff had another intimate moment with David in his office and then rudely refused the gift he offered her. When the Vice Present later presented David with a gift, he gave her the bracelet. Her Chief of Staff saw it on her wrist and seemed rattled by the realization that David gave the gift to the V.P. I enjoyed her discomfort.
Quinn is the only one who had a happy ending, made possible by Charlie stopping by.
The bad boys are back together again and that should be interesting.

I didn't think about whether Olivia did a good job as First Lady, but I certainly noticed she was uncomfortable. She seemed so happy to be asked to solve a problem and then it was something minor. But I was impressed at how she and the Veep solved Mellie's problem. I was pleased Mellie was able to make a difference like that.
I'm surprised you didn't mention Huck and Olivia's father, but I'm not sure what to think there. I just know the actor probably deserves another Emmy nomination.
They said it would be February before we got another one, but I'm relieved.

I consider Rowan, Huck, Jake and Charlie as the "bad boys". I did not mention Rowan's and Huck's scenes because I did not want you to accidentally see any comments on that before you saw the episode. Those scenes were excellently played and and I was very interested in how it would play out. I think the show needs Rowan because he adds a level of danger and excitement that I enjoy.

Quinn and Huck can do the dirty work, but the new guy can't be trusted to handle it.
So Mellie wrote a book, but it was an easy book to write. Therefore it won't be successful She needs to write a hard book.
I'm surprised the director of the NSA would be announced. If I remember correctly, there was a time the existence of the NSA was unknown to the average person. And having Jake in charge can't be good.
Poor Abby. I knew a lot of that stuff was outside of her normal duties. And Cyrus can only laugh. She does have the most beautiful hair. And I was glad she finally slept in something that looked halfway sexy. The best part was when she showed up at the White House at 2 in the morning.
Olivia said she was in her pajamas, but I suspected she wasn't, and I was glad she wasn't.

Poor Abby. I'm glad she stood up to Fitz. She's trying to do the job Cyrus should be doing. She shouldn't be treated like that. And Fitz doesn't understand there are certain things he just can't do. Remember B613?
And what about Cyrus? I don't understand what he was doing. At first I thought he was trying to have that governor killed. Now he's a hero? But Cyrus is still responsible for the deaths of those guards.
Meanwhile, Susan and Mellie seem like popular candidates for the Oval Office.

A funnier episode than most of them lately.
Ellen's better half is "nasty". I can only hope that's only her character because I really don't like thinking of her and Ellen being nasty. While I'm not entirely comfortable with Ellen, her show is considered G-rated so she is apparently wholesome these days.
At least Susan's boyfriend decided to drop the other woman and focus on her. I don't have the time to look up people's names.
Susan's rehearsal for her debate was funny.
Olivia's being kind of hard on Mellie but I guess Mellie needs to do better. I've never perceived Mellie as smart enough to be president.
I almost thought that was Eli running for president. Now that would be bad. But he had hair. Although given what Quinn found out, that's pretty much the same thing.
Cyrus is in trouble. The man's brother runs his campaigns and he wants influence.
And now we have a Trump on this show. How did it take so long for Hollis to announce? This man's even worse. A gun enthusiast AND a real conservative.

I always thought of Olivia as having morals, but she seems to have crossed a line, even for her.

The girl who played Olivia as a teenager is the oldest daughter on "Black-ish". She was also the older daughter on "The First Family" before she got her other part, and then they mysteriously acted like she never existed. I recently realized her grandfather on that show is also the sleazy lawyer on "Black-ish". What I mean is I knew who he was but forgot they had appeared on both shows.
