I saw the second auction. That was scary. But Olivia speaks Farsi! Without that, she could have been working for terrorists.
They came this close to killing her. I don't see how they were able to watch her without drones. Satellites couldn't possibly show that much detail.
Abby looked so good in that dress. How in the world could they keep Abby out of the loop? And yet only her actions saved Olivia.

"Honor Thy Father" was quite a dilemma for Olivia and for the family. I do not have an opinion on what was really the right thing to do after so many years. Olivia has strong opinions on some issues and questionable values on others.

I am caught up after watching "First Lady Sings the Blues: The nation turns against Mellie, forcing Cyrus to come to her defense." This was a very exciting episode. Quinn was getting a cup of coffee, turned around, and saw a bloody and mortally wounded Jake lying on the conference table at headquarters. She reacted quickly by drawing her gun and was prepared to shoot the first thing that moved. Huck chose that moment to enter the room and ducked as Quinn pulled the trigger. That was just the beginning of the episode. The drama increased as they tried to save Jake and Olivia was coerced into taking an assignment to protect a Russian spy.
Meanwhile, at the White House, Mellie was being castigated by Sally for wanting to become a Senator and shirking her job as First Lady. Abby does an excellent job as Press Secretary, but it was an uphill battle against Sally. Cyrus is an excellent mouthpiece and negotiator. He had no trouble winning the debate against Sally. But when the chips are down, who does the President call? Olivia, of course.
Olivia is amazing at handling multiple disasters and that is a good thing when all of her friends' lives are in danger.
I have always said Olivia cannot handle her father - even though he really does love her. If he did not love her, she would have been dead a long time ago.

Appropriately enough, I have now seen the episode where the cop shot the unarmed black teenager. At least the vice presidential search ended up being funny.
Olivia did a great job defusing the situation. I'm just sorry the cop turned out not to be as good a person as he led us to believe. I don't know why but it never occurred to me that she was a black woman getting a Republican elected president twice (well, of course! She was brought up with all the advantages!), and yet on this episode she made being black a higher priority than being conservative.

I have now seen the episode where Marla Gibbs, the "Where's the black lady" woman, shows up and has to learn the truth about her friend. Olivia tried to hide it.
Three cast members of "227" are in current series. I noticed Regina King was in the acclaimed "American Crime". Meanwhile, poor Marla and Jackee are in "The First Family".
And we got more comedy from the woman being named vice president. I couldn't believe she would actually do something that might get her confirmed.
Meanwhile, now we know Huck's real name. But he could be in real trouble if he has to testify against B613.
Scott Foley appeared as himself in the live episode of "Undateable". I never watched that and won't again, but I had to see the live episode and it was quite good. Scott made the only major blooper but the man he was talking to handled it quite well. That man was a major fan of "Scandal". Numerous celebrities appeared.

While that was happening a mile down the road from the white house, Mellie and Fitz were discussing his promise to help her run for President during a future term. They chose an outrageous candidate to fill the Vice President’s term until the next election because they want to be sure the interim VP is un-electable as President. That lady will be comic relief. I forgot to look at this before posting, but you got it right.

"A Few Good Women" was an excellent episode. I enjoyed the episode even though that issue has been addressed on numerous shows that I watch. In addition to the case of the week, the team worked on Olivia's B613 lover to get information on Foxtail. He and Jake had a heart-to-heart chat that was enlightening. The President has difficulty denying his ladies' requests for help. Mellie is on the right track.

Scandal finale was awesome. There was so much backstabbing we needed a scorecard.
Command is the most dangerous person in D.C. He has the means and the will to eliminate anyone who tries to take him down.
Hey, they left Huck hanging. Is he or is he not going to survive?

Spoilers if you have not seen the season finale.
I loved the season finale of Scandal. It was so full of surprises and backstabbing, I had to watch it twice to catch all of it.
Papa Pope (Rowan) pretended to be a billionaire who donated to Mellie’s campaign so he could get a face-to-face meeting with her. When he showed her the blackmail file, she panicked and obtained a list of names for him. That was very unfortunate.
Jake and Rosen followed through with the hearings in front of the Grand Jury and things were going very well until all of the members of the Grand Jury were slaughtered. Olivia refused to give up and went to the head of the CIA to present their case. Rowan and Cyrus intervened and had Olivia and Jake arrested. After more threats, Olivia and Jake recanted their accusations about B613 and they were released.
I really thought that would be the end of their take-down-B613 crusade, but Liv stumbled upon another way to get back at her father. She manipulated funds to make it look like he was stealing from his employer and he was put in jail. I doubt that he will remain in jail very long.
Huck’s betrayal was a shocker and I cannot guess whether he is alive or dead.
At the White House, Mellie was granted all of her wishes until Elizabeth snitched to Fitz about Mellie releasing the names of the Grand Jury panel which led to their slaughter. Shockingly, Fitz told Mellie to get out of his house, and he was absolutely serious.
The Olivia-Fitz-Jake love triangle seems to have been resolved.

I nearly lost the last two episodes.
I was only thinking about having time to watch everything, not about having room for everything. I was watching a movie I had seen, and if I had realized sooner that I had seen it, maybe I would have watched something else. But the timing was such that I rescued the final "America's Funniest Home Videos" minutes before I would have lost it to the Billboard Music Awards. There were also two "Scandal" episodes that would have gotten lost. I cancelled the awards show because nothing I did prevented me from losing anything, and I told the other machine to record the awards. It's a good thing I didn't have to upgrade my TiVos before I did this, because I don't know yet if I can record two shows at once on the one that I bought more recently. The upgrade should prevent me from doing more than one show at once on the one I've had longer.
I'll watch one tonight, but I had to sacrifice "Family Guy" for the awards show, then I realized, just in time, that I could still record it.

Well, it's a good thing I discovered just in time that I had seen the movie. Online was also an option.
I have seen one more episode since I was here last. I noticed Regina King directed. She was Marla Gibbs' daughter on "227", and Marla was on the previous episode looking for her friend.
Another episode I could laugh at. And Abby's hair looked great.
Abby's current boyfriend was obviously one of the men whose sex lives were detailed in Lena Dunham's book. What I didn't like was how Huck just killed her.
I was surprised Smellie Mellie sided with Olivia on this.
And the flashbacks of Cyrus were interesting. Wait, I may be thinking of two episodes.

I have watched one more episode. The comic relief was Mellie's sister. Mellie said she was better than her sister because, she said, she didn't go around embarrassing herself. She seems to have forgotten Smellie Mellie. I found it strange Cyrus was enjoying this.
Meanwhile, Olivia got a man off death row, and Huck and the others are trying to protect her from B613. I should have known it wouldn't be as easy as it seemed to bring down B613.

I saw one more. This time the comic relief was the vice president refusing to vote when the Senate was tied until she read the bill. I don't think anyone read the Affordable Care Act and it was about as long.
I really wish they hadn't used such light-hearted music as K.C. and the Sunshine Band to slice up a dead body.
Olivia really handled herself well when she got that man out of trouble.
I was very confused. I thought the mayor was in his own house and his wife was white. It took me a while to realize they were having an affair.

I've seen two more. There were four not eight, because I was going to go back and see some details I missed in four others. Which is impossible now without watching the whole thing. Now, I do this during commercials unless I have the remote in my hand. Somehow there weren't any new movies to watch over the weekend. I forgot about "Curious George" because I got distracted by problems I was having, but it aired on stations I don't normally watch.
In fact, I was in the middle of another episode. The vice president couldn't decide how to vote on police brutality. Appropriate, since over the weekend a mistrial was declared in Charlotte's police brutality case. And I was surprised by how that candidate for mayor reacted.
And then the vice president got involved in a possible case or rape on a ship. Who would have guessed rape could be funny? The line was something like, "You stole her ... PUT HER BACK!"
Meanwhile, Olivia's boyfriend turns out to be working to stop her for getting rid of Command. And Mellie is actually running for Senate even if there's a conflict of interest.
I may wait until just before the new season for the last one, but these three were about all I could handle.

I had to watch two episodes of "Modern Family" I recorded on that TiVo yesterday and there's one left. This takes away from Parade magazine and my TV listings.
