Please don't make her a love interest, Please don't make her a love interest, Please don't make her a love interest, etc. etc. We need the guys to start working on fixing Dean and fixing their brotherhood, we don't need a love interest.

I am fine with them looking at girls, and if it would be done correctly they could have a girlfriend, but it has never happened on the show and to be honest since almost everyone they end up with gets killed off I would prefer not to see any other female get killed off.
I would be fine with Jody Mills and the girl Alex, I am ok with Charlie in small doses. I would be ok with a female as long as she is not made to be a damsel in distress, and need saving all the time.
I just think there are other storylines that need to come first before starting up a new storyline.

They're starting to put up BTS photos over at SpoilerTV.com. A couple are far away but there's one close up of Jensen and Misha. Our boy Cas already looks bloodied up!

From the CW
Supernatural Tuesdays (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET) on The CW
The thrilling and terrifying journey of the Winchester Brothers continues with the tenth season of “Supernatural” on The CW.
Twenty-eight years ago, Sam Winchester (Jared Padalecki) and Dean Winchester (Jensen Ackles) lost their mother to a mysterious and demonic supernatural force. Subsequently, their father John (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) raised them to be soldiers. He taught them about the paranormal evil that lives in the dark corners and on the back roads of America…and he taught them how to kill it.
Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) have spent the last nine years battling the things that go bump in the night. Over the years, with the help of the fallen angel Castiel (Misha Collins), and the King of Hell, Crowley (Mark A. Sheppard), the Winchesters have straddled the line between good and evil.
Last season, power struggles in Heaven and Hell would push the boys beyond their limits. Crowley was pitted against the Knight of Hell, Abaddon (Alaina Huffman), in a civil war for the throne of Hell, while the recently fallen angels formed battling factions, with the boys and Castiel caught in the crossfire of both conflicts. Meanwhile, the egomaniacal former scribe of God, Metatron [Curtis Armstrong], vied to replace the Almighty in the hearts and minds of angels and humans alike. However, absolute power corrupted the scribe, and the brothers were forced to confront the would-be deity, a conflict ending with the death of Dean Winchester. In the shocking final moments of the season, he would be resurrected by the power of the First Blade, opening his eyes to reveal he has been transformed into a demon! Season 10 begins with Sam’s frantic search for his missing brother, who is gone without a trace. The road to recovering the wayward Dean takes Sam down dark paths, with consequences that will shake the boys to their core. Meanwhile, Castiel has to pick up the pieces in the aftermath of Metatrons campaign. With his grace failing and rogue angels still on the loose, Cass will face the ticking clock of his own mortality as all-new threats emerge to once again push all of our heroes to their limits.
SUPERNATURAL is produced by Wonderland Sound and Vision in association with Warner Bros. Television, with executive producers Jeremy Carver (“Being Human”), Robert Singer (“Midnight Caller”), Phil Sgriccia and Adam Glass. Eric Kripke created the series and serves as executive consultant, along with McG, on Season 10.

Gee...it's great that Sam will be searching for Dean, but I am concerned about the dark path he will travel. Well...not really concerned...more like excited to see what happens.
I am not familiar with "Wonderland Sound and Vision".

Wow! Thanks November, what a terrific article, I won't say anymore so that I don't spoil it for others, but I am stoked for season 10. And then there's this: Woo hoo! Just saw this.......and it scares me....not in a good way: Episode 10.05 of Supernatural will be titled "Fan Fiction". Source: TVLine The CW hit is tackling a major first in Season 10: At the 2014 Summer TCA Press Tour, showrunner Jeremy Carver revealed to E! News that Supernatural's 200th episode will be something of a "musical-ish" episode, which the longrunning series has never done. Feel free to take a moment to bask in the sheer awesomeness of this idea. "I think it'll be one of the more amusing and engaging episodes we've done in a while. I think we can safely call this a meta episode," Carver previewed of the milestone outing, which will be the fifth episode of the new season. "We're going pretty meta. I would just describe it as something of a love letter to our fans and there will be songs." Of course, we had some immediate follow-up questions: Are Jensen and Jared singing? "I cannot comment any further than that. [Laughs.]" Will there be dancing? "Potentially." Is it just one song? "There will be more than one song." Will they be original songs or covers? "There will be a little of both. It's just going to be real fun and it's a real celebration of the show and particularly the fans of the show." Source: E!Online

I am very excited about Demon Dean and I am glad that will run for more than 1 or 2 episodes. I enjoy mysteries so I am also looking forward to the mysterious character who is interested in Dean.
I think the fans have suggested a musical several times over the years. It will probably be fun to watch since it is a meta episode but I would not promote it to someone who is watching Supernatural for the first time.

you would think with it being the 200th episode that it would not be parody though.

More season 10 info:
Zap2It has put up two more interviews with season 10 spoilers
They published their interview with Jeremy Carver. He talks about Sam and Dean including Sam's search for Dean I loved the moment in the Season 9 finale when Dean told Sam, "I'm proud of us," and the brothers finally got back to a good place with each other after a season of fighting and uncomfortable friction. Are we going to be back in square one now that Dean's a demon, or is there a chance for that goodwill to carry over regardless of Dean being a demon?
No. Absolutely, everything that happened at the end of Season 9 will carry over into Sam's relentless pursuit of his brother and to save his brother, as opposed to Season 8 when he didn't even look for him, you know? It's all built off that moment in the Season 9 finale, that reconciliation that happened. We're going back to the basics. There's always some friction among the brothers but I would say the relationship is in a good place. The person who is also looking for Dean
Good to hear! What can you tell me about this mysterious other character that is also on the hunt for Dean in addition to Sam hunting his brother?
Well, I can tell you that he's kind of cool and his name is Cole. He is someone from Dean's past who is looking for Dean for reasons totally unrelated to what's going on with the demon/Mark of Cain story. He's a guy that has a terrific amount of hunting skills but he's not a hunter in our sense of the word. He has no idea that the monster world exists so imagine his surprise when he comes across the man he's been hunting and he is something other than human. He's a pretty cool character.
And the mytharc
When we last saw Castiel, he was up in heaven with a fading grace, and Metatron was in jail, so what can you tell me about the situation in heaven when we come back for Season 10?
The situation in heaven is relatively stable. And the situation in hell is also relatively stable. I think that's going to give a false sense of calm to, certainly, Sam and Dean, as well as some of our other players. So the mythology this year will sneak up on you a little bit more than it has in previous years. We're building up the season-long mythology right from the jump but we don't necessarily come right out and announce it like we have in seasons past, like how Season 8 was about the tablets. It's a bit of a slower build this year. I think that potentially will give it a bigger impact.

Thanks SoCal That information is exactly what I have been wanting to know about S10. Sounds really good. It sounds interesting that Cole looks for Dean and does not freak out when he learns there really are demons. He must be as cool as Carver said.

It sounds interesting that Cole looks for Dean and does not freak out when he learns there really are demons. He must be as cool as Carver said. I'm wondering if he will be a recurring character like the new female character, called Dar. It sounded as though she's some kind of demon or supernatural oddity. I wonder what Cole wants from Dean? How will DemonDean! react? Like you, I'm looking forward to season 10. I'm hoping Carver has learned something from the last two seasons and won't make the same mistakes next season. Bothe Jensen and Jared seem to be looking forward to the season as well.

I am wondering why earlier information talked about a new recurring character (Dar) but did not mention the guy as a recurring character. He sounds like someone I would like to see as a part of the show.
I am a wee bit surprised that Jared and Jensen are content to continue past S10. I thought they would like to try something different, but they really enjoy doing Supernatural.

Thanks, November. I think you put it in the right spot.....season 10 stuff.
I just saw this:
Zap2it: Where do we find Sam at the beginning of Season 10? Jared Padalecki: With his head up his a**. [laughs] No. When Sam went down to summon Crowley to get his brother back at the end of Season 9, he returned to Dean's room to find his brother gone. Since Sam didn't get a chance to see the episode, he didn't know that Crowley was in there or that Dean woke up a demon. So Sam starts out not having any idea that his brother is a demon. True to the Winchester form, he's going to go through hell and high water to try to get his brother back, wherever his brother is. He doesn't know if he's been taken, or vanished, but he has his suspicions. Sam starts out with the same commitment to bring his brother back that he ended with in Season 9, when he was telling Dean, "Stay with me, I'm not going to let you go, I've got you. We'll make it through this." Obviously, he didn't, but he's still going to try and keep his promise.
That's good to hear! I love it when Sam is committed to helping Dean. But we've seen Sam try to find/save his brother before in seasons past, so how will his journey be different in Season 10? I feel like Sam finally knows and has accepted a lot of the things he's fought for years and years, i.e. his destiny, that Sam and Dean have both done things that maybe weren't completely forthright like when Sam was on demon blood or when Dean let Sam get possessed by an angel. I think Sam has made his peace with it and he realizes all those choices were all made with good intentions. So now we have Sam who just loves his brother and wants his brother to get well and be better. That's how this season will be different.
After a whole season of tolerating each other in a toxic relationship, Sam and Dean finally got to a good place at the end of the Season 9 finale. When Sam and Dean finally do reunite, will those good feelings carry over or will seeing Dean as a demon bring it all back to square one for Sam? I think seeing his brother as a demon will actually stiffen his resolve. He knows that it wasn't his brother's choice. When Sam does find out -- and he does find out, though he won't know how it happened, he'll just know that Dean is a demon -- he doesn't think it's Dean's fault. He doesn't know if it's the Mark of Cain, or Crowley, or something else entirely but when he sees what's happened with his brother, he feels as if someone has wronged his brother and it steels his resolve to fix things.
and this:
TVLINE | Going into Season 10, what surprised you about Dean’s journey in the upcoming episodes? Well, we have a slightly different version of Dean. A little bit of time has passed [at the start of Season 10], and he is a demon version of himself, out running amok with Crowley. It’s interesting because, over the past nine years, Dean has always been kind of a constant. Sam has really been the one that’s been possessed or [had] the demon blood or [been] soulless. There’s been a lot of different variations on the character of Sam, but Dean’s always been the steady, the constant. So to have that now change, and Dean is now an alternate version of himself, is exciting. It’s challenging, and it adds a unique element to the beginning of the season that we haven’t seen before.
TVLINE | What was the most challenging aspect of trying to incorporate a demon into Dean while still keeping him Dean? Just that. [Laughs] Exactly what you said. That was the challenging aspect. It’s not like a demon that overtook Dean’s meat suit. This is the same guy with a twisted soul. So I wanted to keep Dean alive in there, but I had to make an exaggerated version of him, and that was challenging. This is a character that I’ve played for nine years. To tailor that into something different, it’s hard not to fall back into your same routine

The following comment calls for major drama... " How will Castiel react to finding out that Dean is a demon, and how will that affect their friendship?
It's definitely driving a very, very large wedge between the two of them. I think that Castiel really doesn't see Demon Dean as Dean. He sees him as a monster that, one way or another, needs to go."

This little item refers to that: Matt Mitovich from TV Line has a scoop on episode 2. Hi, Matt! I’m curious to know about the Demon Dean personality through the first half of Supernatural Season 10. —Levana Indeed, Dean has a bit of the devil in him — as will be evidenced by an intense fling he has in the second episode back, with a tough but sympathetic roadhouse cocktail waitress named Ann Marie. Since Dean has always enjoyed sex and we have seen "energetic" sex scenes with him before I wonder what intense means. I think he's going to kill her during sex...or after.
