Hi NC and Anti! Well, Crowley may not THINK he lies, but leaving out vital information is a lie by omission. And I think Crowley does that all the time. NC, I believe I read somewhere that Dean will contimue to be affected by the MOC even after he's no longer a demon. Wonder if he'll get rid of it during season 10. Yup Anti, I think "feeding" the MOC means killing. How many days left until the season begins? Okay, I agree Crowley does lie by omission. Why do I like Crowley so much but want Metatron to be shoved through a wood chipper? ;D Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using proboards

Anti, I agree completely with you about liking Crowley immensely and hating Metatron completely. Metatron's character was written pretty good at first, but by the last 2-3 episodes he was in, he was putrid. He was WAY too over the top and his constant catch phrases and references to real world stuff was just pitiful. His character just became embarrasing. It was tough to see how his character (even with the angel tablet), could totally destroy Dean who had both the MOC and the first blade. Crowley is much more finessed and frankly Mark Shepphard is a much better actor than he-who-not-to-be-named.

LOL, a wood chipper? I must say I am on board for Meta blah to be gone. I think the actor is fine, I thought he was good as a bad guy on the Closer, but here he is too much of a cardboard character, one note. It is now 11 Days from SPN 10, that's right, S10, who would have ever thought we would have s10? Crowley does lie by omission, and subversion and most of all manipulation. Think S5 with getting Dean to go to Brady's office to get Brady to come downstairs, getting Bobby's soul and S6 with Cas, S7 with all 3 guys and what he did to Kevin, the list goes on. But I do like Crowley and think he serves a purpose on the show. I am not happy with someone else torturing Sam, and I am not happy with the way the previews show Cas being beat up and all bloody, poor babies. Here's to Oct 6-7.

Crowley was an awesome villain and he kept me guessing most of the time. It seems like he admires the boys and do not want them dead, perhaps because they have always been a challenge for him. Metatron is arrogant and thinks he is smarter than everyone; that angels and people are pawns in the books he wants to write. I would love for God to send a special bolt of lightning from Las Vegas to zap that narcissist. November, that reminds me...like you, I hated Metatron being stronger than Dean and being able to ignore holy oil. Even the archangels could not do that. Yuk!
I do not recall what the special is about, but come on October 6!

Im not happy about him hurting Sam either but I think he will be a little more dynamic than just a pissed of guy. you can see clips of him acting on you tube. we will see soon. all I know is hes getting a good following for not even being on the show yet.

I wish they were doing it this coming Tuesday instead since it means a week without Supernatural.

I understand Erik Kripke will be part of the season 1-9 round-up. I'm interested to hear what he will say. Of course, along with Jensen, Jared, Mischa and Mark!

It will be nice to hear Kripke talk about his Supernatural. Gee... this makes me want to watch the scene where they "killed" Kripke in "The French Mistake". That was so well done.

Hi I am interested in what Kripke thinks of what all has happened with the show since he has left and went on his way. I am guessing he has kept tabs on it, but I would like to know what he had thought about certain story lines.

I want to hear what Kripke says too. But if he says the show should have ended before now, he will be burned in effigy.

The CW has released the press release for 10.03 on Oct. 21.
SUPERNATURAL “Soul Survivor” – (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET) (TV-14, DLV) (HDTV) JENSEN ACKLES RETURNS TO THE HELM AS DIRECTOR — Sam (Jared Padalecki) continues his efforts to save Dean (Jensen Ackles) from the Mark of Cain. Crowley (Mark Sheppard) realizes Dean’s demonic antics are starting to cause problems for him in Hell so he searches out an unlikely ally – Castiel (Misha Collins). Jensen Ackles directed the episode written by Brad Buckner & Eugenie Ross-Leming (#1001). Original airdate 10/21/2014.
Oh Crowley, allying with Castiel didn't work out that well last time. Remember Godstiel? Dean is causing problems for Crowley in Hell? What the heck is he doing? We've seen the clips of Dean and Sam confronting each other in the bunker, so I'm looking forward to this episode. What about you? Any theories on what Crowley expects Cas to do to help with Dean?

Random ridiculous theory: Dean is probably being promiscuous and creating friction between the women in Hell. Crowley figures Castiel will not like his boy-toy playing around like that so he will make him toe the line. Crowley also dreams about a love triangle.

First I am dropping off a link about an SPN marathon on TNT on Tuesday. I am off work on Mon-Tues and I can just watch all the SPN I can stand! lol www.channelguidemagblog.com/index.php/2014/10/03/tnt-supernatural-season-9-marathon-supernatural-season-10/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=tnt-supernatural-season-9-marathon-supernatural-season-10Is it just me or are they promoting this season more than usual? and with TNT showing all of S9 right before S10 starts SoCal, I am wondering if Crowley thinks that Dean may listen to Cas since he is a good friend? The last time those two teamed up was bad, but Cas was naïve and Crowley was his manipulative self, this time Crowley is the one in need and I am not sure how that will play out. Crowley may think that Cas can bring back Dean's human side. ( I am not phrasing this well but not sure how to say what I mean) I am looking forward to the first 3 episodes, those are the only ones I have heard about so far. They look good from the pictures I have seen. Edit, this just came to mind, what if Crowley "says" he can help Cas and his grace situation out if Cas can help Crowley with Dean? Would Cas believe him? would Cas care enough about himself to take Crowley up on the offer? How far will Sam go to save Dean? Will Dean fix it so that he can't be saved and turned back? Wow, I just realized all those questions were about very specific personal problems about each character, maybe this season will have a very personal feel to it.

NC, I am so jealous that you have these two days off to get your fill of all things "Supernatural."
As for Crowley and Castiel......I just don't know. We all know that Crowley lies both outright and by omission so Castiel would be foolish to accept any off of "help" from him.
I'm looking forward to watching the season 1-9 retrospective tonight and can hardly believe our long summer hellatus ends tomorrow at 9 pm.

I actually did not plan it that way to be off on these 2 days it just worked out like that. I can't decide what to watch today before the retro special tonight. I am thinking about watching 1 episode from each season to get me back into all of the things that the guys have went thru to get to where they are now.
I will be glad to get some new SPN the next 2 nights, it feels like forever since we have seen the show. Btw, I was wrong about the TNT marathon, it starts tonight and runs thru tomm. night. It shows all of S9 straight thru until almost time for S10 premier.

I enjoyed every minute, every second, of the special. I am thrilled that they started and finished with "Carry On..."; then for the credits, they played the mid-tempo rock music that plays on the DVDs and I love that music. Misha's all-time favorite episode is the same as mine. Mark Shepherd was disappointed that he was not in "The French Mistake" and I can understand why. Carver: "As long as everyone is still willing, I think we got many many years to go." It was produced by Rob Benedict. (I think they deliberately played down his looks because Rob is a gorgeous man.) "Supernatural" is the most unique series I have ever watched.

I really enjoyed the retrospective. It was especially fun to see Kripke waxing enthusiastic about his little show that could. I vehemently disagree with his hatred of Wendigo, however. I loved that episode. And the monster was great, even if it was done on the cheap. And hearing Carver talk about no end in sight to the series...well...WOO-HOO. And, of, course, the J's looked great.

HI, I liked the retro special, but I loved that they started off with Carry on Wayward Son and had Chuck (Rob Benedict) be the narrator, that just felt "right". I liked Kripke still seemed excited about SPN.

Please don't read this if you don't want to be spoiled for next week: Sheesh, looks like we only get 3 episodes of Demon!Dean. From what I've seen of 10.04, he's only MOC!Dean and he's hunting with Sam again.
DDean! We hardly got to know you!

I love Hannah now that I know she was our Jessica on After! Totally did not make the connection until someone spelled it out for me, that the gal who spent a half day of filming with us then is SPN Hannah now. Man, if she had been a reoccurring character back then I would have had a lot more to talk about with her.

I know some are/were disappointed in the fact that Demon Dean seemed to be cured so fast, but I think there were several reasons for that, and as we have seen that arc is not over with it, it has just changed a little.
I think they took the demon out of Dean for the 200th episode to resonate more with us fans so that it would have a special feel to us.
I think we have seen the slow buildup towards Dean still being affected by the MOC ever since he was clean of the demon part of him, he didn't kill for 2 episodes and then it slowly started building up again in him, he has been snappy with Sam, he has been snappy with people (the Clue episode) and he has seemed off ever since the beginning of the season. We saw in the last episode that Dean is still very much affected with the MOC and even if the demon part is not affecting him he is still one scary person who is capable and more than willing to kill or do whatever it takes. We have seen him kill to protect himself or others before, but I can't think of another time when he took out a whole room of people with scarcely a thought, until after what he did.
Where does this leave us, I just don't know, but I am willing to see where the show takes us, I have been avoiding most spoilers and articles in order to better concentrate on what I see on the screen since most of the other stuff is misleading. I still think the MOC will affect Dean more this season and I have always wondered how Dean will react once he is free of the MOC, he holds so much in and has no self worth, I have always wondered how will he deal with it and be able to move into a better space in himself.

Something else I hope we see in the next part of the season is Crowley being the master manipulator we know and love, I understand that we need to see some of his backstory in order to see what he has went thru and his issues with "family" but I am tired of seeing kitten Crowley, I want to see him be himself.
