What killed the elderly couple? I can't remember, was it the young lady? Yes. She was the artist's lover and she went into a jealous rage when she learned there were others sharing his bed. The smoke from the fire accidentally killed the elderly couple when it traveled through the vents. Okay thanks I missed that part.

3.14 The Female of the Species (1-22-14) I did not see that ending coming! I thought Kitty was having a mental breakdown when she was in Watson's condo.
Sherlock is determined to catch the sadist who tortured Kitty. The police department and Watson are also helping. Kitty tortured the suspect's sister to force her to give information. The woman reported Kitty to the Captain and he told Sherlock Kitty is suspended from working with the department.
While investigating the case, they rescued a lot of women who were being held against their will. Sherlock's power of observation gave them clues that the police would have overlooked, i.e., the boat house.

I can't read about the ending. There was a basketball game and once Sherlock looked at the photos of the sister, it was over.
I'm hoping Kitty's behavior will get her sent up the river and Sherlock and Watson will be working together once again as always.
Sherlock didn't wake Watson up again this week but he did something funny. I've forgotten now what it was.

I understand and when an ending is a shocker, I avoid stating what it is.

I saw, I didn't know that meant you saw it or not. I think you are being difficult. When I said, "I didn't see that ending coming!", that was a clue that I saw it all the way to the end. I would like to discuss the shows with you but you continue to ask questions that I have already answered and you do not add anything to the conversation. It would be good for you to give your thoughts on the episode, even if you see it a week later.

Would it be unkind to say the best thing about Kitty's arc is her farewell? This was the only episode that featured her that I really enjoyed.
There were two big surprises for me. One surprise was that after Sherlock left Kitty in the warehouse, she tortured Kel with the corrosive agent that she had planned to use to dissolve his body. That was very brutal, but I understand she could not just let him go. I thought she was going to put brand marks on his face, but she made sure he will no longer be a good looking man. He will also go to jail. His life is over.
The second surprise was that Sherlock was so very alone in London that he was crying. I was shocked to see him that way. Considering that, it was good that Kitty came into his life and gave him a purpose and a goal. It was nice to hear her say she loved him. I wonder if anyone ever says that to Sherlock.
It was a good episode.

I understand and when an ending is a shocker, I avoid stating what it is. Oh, wow, it was. I saw the last few minutes online. And now my feelings for Kitty have changed somehow. The series finale of "Parenthood" last night, so no time yet. That won't be a problem from now on.

And I forgot to post about last week's.
Sherlock's behavior when he first met Kitty was so different from what we're used to. Later, when he was training her, he was the Sherlock we knew. I really liked those flashbacks.
At this point, I hope Kitty's behavior means she's really gone. I changed my feelings, but now they're back to where they were.
But at least Watson lost her job and she'll be back working with Sherlock.
It was the best episode in quite a while.

It was an episode like we were used to before Kitty and before all those characters from England.
Sherlock shouldn't have rejected that case. It turned out to be quite fascinating.
And we had some comedy too. Clyde the turtle again. Watson getting waked up. I could have done without Watson's boyfriend. I'm amazed at how nice she was to his father because she's not usually like that. Certainly not with Sherlock.

I like the format for the episode and it looks as if Joan will return to the brownstone.
I am surprised that Joan's friend was killed and don't think that was really necessary. I think it would have been better if they saved him and Joan would still know someone tried to kill her. She was a regular at the restaurant and I want to know if someone who worked there was paid to harm her. That was fast acting poison.

I do not remember the prisoner Watson visited, and I am glad they let us know rather quickly who tried to kill her. I really did not want them to drag that out and I still feel they did not need to kill her boyfriend. I think bumping into someone and dropping poison into her cup is an unreliable way to murder someone, especially if the person is holding two cups. Sherlock offered to listen if Joan needed to talk, but she just felt guilty and sad.
The friend’s father said he does not blame Joan for his son’s death, but when he said he wished she had taken precautions sooner, he seemed angry and I am sure that added to Joan’s feeling of guilt.
The show often comes up with unusual solutions and the solution to the threat to Watson surprised me. I am glad she is returning to the brownstone, but I do not want her character to become dark or sad.
Case of the week: A client requested Sherlock to locate two zebras that had been stolen. Sherlock's pronunciation of zebra sounded very strange but no one commented on that. I have no idea what topic Sherlock was chastising the man about before accepting the case. The zebras were pregnant and due to deliver within a week.
Sherlock asked Det. Bell to join him on the case even though it was Marcus' day off. In exchange, Marcus would learn some of Sherlock's investigative techniques. When Marcus pointed to transfer paint from the vehicle used to transport the zebras, Sherlock almost immediately identified exactly which company used that shade of blue. Sherlock used brilliant deduction to determine where the animals were taken. Unfortunately, only the adult zebras were found, minus the offspring. But there was also a body in the stable.
When they tracked down the location of the babies, Sherlock immediately identified it as an extinct species, which was impressive since it had been extinct for a hundred years. Sherlock was absolutely brilliant this week and I enjoyed it the way he solved the case. I also liked him working with Bell and the unusually warm remark he made to Bell when he departed the restaurant.

I didn't know that Watson helped put someone away in prison. I had to look it up and Elana was introduced in "Enough Nemesis to Go Around". It was a case Joan worked on for the police department while Holmes was in London. She was helping on a case trying to bring down the head of the drug cartel. The woman, Elana (played by Gina Gershon), was extremely cunning and outwitted the police many times, but Joan solved the case and the police arrested Elana. Before the trial, a witness and the policeman guarding the witness were killed. Their murder remained unsolved until Sherlock returned to New York two months later.
