I'm curious about how Sylvester couldn't hear when they were discussing how to help him and each other. He didn't know to turn off his signal, so could they turn off the signal TO him? And of course cell phones always work perfectly regardless of how isolated the location or regardless of what material the building is made of, or how far inside the building they are.
The makeup people did a great job with Cabe. I don't get why we never see him wearing reading glasses if he needs them. And he never seems to need them. I did like the "Father Knows Best" scenes or whatever you want to call them.
I enjoyed the scenes with Happy. They had the real Happy in the first scenes but they showed a Young Happy in the credits. That must have been when she was with Young Toby at the end. Toby was really good in those scenes.
When I saw sparks I was afraid that would be a problem.
Sylvester handled himself well in the debate.

3.18 Don't Burst My Bubble 2-27-17
Team Scorpion must move Happy's friend Ada, and the sterile bubble Ada lives in that protects her compromised immune system, to a secure location after a severe storm leaves the structure surrounded by dangerous debris.

Happy formed a friendship with a girl on-line who was helping her with a project. Toby warned her the friend could be a predator, but Happy did not agree. When the girl failed to respond with some information, Happy became concerned and went to the girl’s home. She learned Ada had a compromised immune system and lived inside of a bubble. A storm had damaged the roof of her home and they needed help. Team Scorpion arrived and quickly came up with plans to remove the debris so the fire department could repair the electric lines. The episode was exciting because some of the problems they faced were: Very limited amount of time to carry out any plans. Replacement generator was damaged. Power line and debris on the roof were hazards. When Walter and Toby tried to remove debris, sparks kept shooting from the power lines. Strong winds increased danger to Walter and Toby so they had to jump off of the ladders. Debris broke through and was leaning on the enclosure One power line broke. Sly was losing the election, which was a distraction. The inflatable tube protecting the roof of the bubble sprung a leak. Broken power line started melting the plastic roof of the bubble. Ada was allergic to something in the Haz-mat suit In spite of the many problems, Scorpion used unique solutions to keep Ada alive until they could get her to an incubator. They used an algorithm to determine the safest way to remove the debris. When the bubble almost tore, Ada stacked objects to decrease pressure on the plastic. They sterilized a Haz-mat suit from the fire truck so Ada could put it on and leave her bubble. When she broke out in hives, they obtained honey to provide a sterile environment for her. Then they sterilized a grocer’s freezer so she could stay there until her bubble is repaired. I had not visualized what they meant by the girl being in the freezer while it burned and that was spectacular. My favorite part was the improvised winter ball and seeing Sly dance with Ada while she and Toby wore the VR sets. I did not dislike Allie and I was surprised Cabe ended the relationship, but he had a good reason. I was not surprised Paige’s long-distance relationship ended. Walter is making a heroic effort to give Paige what she needs. I am now on Team Paige Walter. p.s. I remember a movie about a bubble boy and that it received criticism. It was treated as a comedy and some people did not like that.

That was a very exciting episode.
Happy actually has the ability to relate to people.
Ada was such a pretty girl and so sweet in spite of things. And she got what she wanted, at least for now. Maybe Walter's plan will work.
And of course every possible obstacle was put in the way of saving her and every crisis was urgent.
I want to know how they got all that honey off her, and more importantly, what was it really? Did the actress really go down into whatever that was or was it a body double?
Paige was once again doing the job she was first hired to do.
I admire Cabe for his devotion to the team and even though I wanted his relationship to work, he had a good reason not to.
I'm glad Paige's relationship with Tim is over but I feel bad for her. But Walter is doing better and I want to see them get together.

Good point. Actual honey would be a nightmare to remove from hair and skin.
I really enjoyed the episode.

I dodged a bullet. This week's was a rerun, so it didn't record, but it was one week before my cable went out. I need to watch more carefully because the next one may be the one from that week. With an antenna, I had too many glitches to watch the episode.

3.19 Monkey See, Monkey Poo 3-13-17
To stop a dangerous virus from spreading, Team Scorpion must locate an endangered monkey in the Amazon that has the antibody for the cure; Toby and Happy see a counselor to prepare for matrimony.

Scorpion paid tribute to the importance of the Amazon forest and inhabitants and exposed the harm that loggers are doing to the environment.
The job was for them to meet a man and retrieve a monkey that was immune to a dangerous virus. They would test the monkey to see if a vaccine could be made. The loggers shot the man who had the monkey and they had to track the animal. I enjoyed the way Toby enticed the monkey to come to him.
It was clever to use vibrations to shake down the fruit that held a cure, but the horde of spiders made me feel squeamish.
I think the counseling session for Happy and Toby was funny. I laughed when Happy zapped a spider that was on Toby’s chest and he pushed the irritation button.
I think Ralph supervises Sly as much as Sly supervises him.
Walter felt and demonstrated empathy for Cabe. Oh happy day!

Sylvester objected to going, but he hasn't been on most of the missions. They really need him to stay at headquarters. So he shouldn't be concerned. He was valuable there, and so was Ralph.
I liked the way the shrink reacted to Toby's number of clicks.
It is correct that he's not Toby without his hat.
As usual, it appeared things would be simple, but the fate of the entire world depended on seemingly impossible events.

Scorpion was full of danger, but it was offset by a lot of humor. The job required improving the infrastructure of a wind energy system. As usual, the job did not go smoothly. A gondola cable snapped and put Happy and Paige in danger. In spite of the dissension between the ladies, the team did an excellent job of rescuing them.
I enjoyed the humor at Sly’s guild. They were having a serious ceremony to honor Sly with the Stone of Valor and an employee walked in and interrupted them. Later, Cabe joined them for a game and one of the members told Cabe to kneel so he could be knighted. That made me laugh because I knew Cabe was not going to kneel. When Cabe started playing, the piece he had to use was a girl in red. Ouch!
The team members wanted to participate in the wedding and neither Toby nor Happy had chosen anyone. They flipped the script and made Paige the best man. The guys will play the role usually played by the maids of honor.

I heard Patsy Cline music in a depressing movie over the weekend, and possibly on another show I watched. I don't find her music depressing, but I share Cabe's taste.
I interpreted Happy's comment about Paige being a cheerleader as meaning she's too perky. She was also perky early in the episode. Cheerleaders aren't dumb. And Paige's knowledge about how to do stunts saved their lives.
I figured they might have trouble getting gun even with Cabe's credentials. I was right. The delay could have been fatal. It was nice of Cabe to go through with the ceremony.

I think Paige was being too sensitive when she thought Happy was implying cheerleaders are dumb.

This was a good episode with both humor and excitement. It was nice to see Toby and Happy having fun with the wedding planning.
I like the way the episode ended with Walter and Paige.
The guy who played the President has been playing a villain for so long, it seemed strange that he was ethical.
I think it was really silly when the team pretended to drop items and tie shoe laces to whisper to each other. Then we learned the badges they were wearing were bugged anyway. They should keep that in mind when they visit foreign countries.

I couldn't believe that they were still arguing over whether it was a meteor or an asteroid when the situation was at its most dire.
This time it wasn't Sylvester, but Cabe, who got left behind. And his contribution was really needed. Once again, he is not shown with glasses. I was glad he is getting along better with the woman he was with.
Sylvester is quite a negotiator and he will need that skill now that he has won office.
I also liked how Walter and Paige ended the episode.

I do not think either proposed theme for the bachelor party was good, but I was amused by them. The party turned out to be a disaster.
The job should have been easy for the team but they were not given accurate information. When they walked in and saw the plants, they knew the experiment was a failure. They were still going to repair the equipment, but the two scientists were too busy bickering to be helpful.
They needed to think fast in order to save themselves and the project was a lost cause. I hope they received a deposit before they started the job because the man was unscrupulous.
How could Walter do that to Paige? Even Cabe was displeased with him. I do think it is a good cliffhanger though and will give people something to talk about during the break.

Katharine McPhee can't demand a huge raise, that's for sure. But I wouldn't want her to leave the show.
Walter is all wrong about Paige. As recently as a few weeks ago, it was clear they still need her to communicate with others. Even if they didn't, she can do public relations and anything that doesn't require being a genius. She has taken classes. There are still many duties that she could take on. Sometimes she acts like she is managing the team, though Walter makes "executive decisions".
Poor Paige lost her deposit on the party bus but I figured she'd get it back when they got paid. But if the company was fined, maybe Scorpion will never see that money.
We can never have a job that will be easy for the team. Then the show would only be a sitcom. Once again, I just know the people who question the science are going to have something to yell about. I just don't remember what that is right now.
I'm pretty sure 122 degrees is not a magic number even with all that humidity. But it couldn't be pleasant.
I was glad they had a delay on the communication. I seem to recall a TV series or movie about going to Mars where they magically solved the problem of communication delay.
And once again, Ralph proved his value.

One thing I question is if the fumes from the waste disposal were so toxic, why did Walter not become deathly ill? He was exposed for a long time without a mask. Happy went up to finish covering the vent while Walter was trapped.
Did the method used for freezing the soil make good scientific sense?

Happy went up to finish covering the vent while Walter was trapped. Did the method used for freezing the soil make good scientific sense? I learned a long time ago not to question the science here. I don't know enough about science to even know but it didn't make sense to me. I have a new episode tonight! After the same thing happened Friday, I checked to see if it would happen again. I tried watching tonight's episode with an antenna when it first aired because my cable was out, but there was too much interference.

3.06 Bat Poop Crazy 10-31-16
Team Scorpion explores a deep cave system in an effort to prevent a bat population from harming the North American ecosystem; the team dons Halloween costumes for Walter's impending immigration inspection. I finally got to see this one. I have real problems with the science. How do they communicate in those caves? Also, why didn't they have ropes or something when they were close to falling? Walter had to rescue Paige. Later, they actually had ropes. But by this time they had to find a rear entrance. Amazing how they did that. This time Happy was the one who had to stay behind. We now know she wasn't really pregnant. And that Walter wouldn't get deported. The woman investigating whether they were really married wasn't fooled by the costumes.

I do not remember them ever indicating that Walter is not a U.S. citizen, but I checked and the real Walter was born in Clonroche, Republic of Ireland. And ironically, this Walter talks like an American. Even though the actor is English. I recently heard him speak during a commercial break in a TV episode that aired during the Christmas season.

I didn't know we had at least one more new episode. I should have realized Toby and Happy haven't gotten married.
But then that raises the question of how they will handle Paige's absence. I did see her in a commercial, so she will be in the episode.

Well, they did handle Paige's situation about as well as I thought they could. Time had passed. She was mature, and she was friendly to the team and civil to Walter. Has Happy ever called her "Waitress"?
Ralph was not mature, but I guess he was entitled to feel the way he did. But they couldn't lose him. His contribution this time was valuable. Paige's replacement is about as competent as Lucille Ball's secretary to Mr. Mooney. Yes, I know that isn't considered her best work, but I enjoyed it before I was aware of the other show, which I had supposedly watch when I was very young but didn't remember. She had the nuttiest filing system.
So obviously they need her back. Is that the guy who used to pick up trash with Walter? And he was so hard on her. She's not authorized! She's putting her shoes on the table!
Two pickup trucks from the mid-70s. That reminds me that in the previous episode Toby told Happy he had a Ranchero. But he needed to be more specific. That was a mid-70s Ranchero. And the pickup it replaced was from the early 70s.
It would have been nice to give Happy and Toby the wedding they wanted. But maybe a honeymoon? No, we have another cliffhanger. And it is resolved next week. At least I hope so. It's never a simple problem when Scorpion is involved.

I didn't like the way it ended. I was hoping they would get out of this situation.
Walter didn't know who Gilligan was. I thought of Gilligan myself. In this case, I don't know who Cabe would be but we had five Professors, one Mary Ann and one Skipper.
Ralph's contribution was valuable again, but it wasn't enough.
Everything had to happen just a certain way, but of course it didn't this time. Amazingly they were able to save the pilot. it's a good thing since they were not getting rescued anytime soon.

My Charlotte Observer TV section had various photos representing shows that were having their season finales this week. For this show, they showed Paige, not one of the geniuses.
Paige in just a dress shirt and saying "Nerd" should be interesting.
