I won't see the previous week's episode until this weekend, but I went ahead and watched this week's.
Once again, Supergirl messes up. She tries hard but sometimes her lack of experience gets her in trouble.
Now we know where Cat gets it.
General Lane sure is mean. Was Lois' father on "Smallville" that bad?
At least "Jimmy" was put in his place for a change.

Based on what I saw at the end of the episode and in the promo, next week's episode is taking liberties with Supergirl's abilities that I am not going to like. Unless they introduce some "colorful" Kryptonite, they need a better explanation than the one she gave.

Based on what I saw at the end of the episode and in the promo, next week's episode is taking liberties with Supergirl's abilities that I am not going to like. Unless they introduce some "colorful" Kryptonite, they need a better explanation than the one she gave. She was bleeding a couple of weeks ago, which surprised her. I don't recall anything that could have caused that. |

1.04 How Does She Do It? (11/23/15)
This one was shown out of sequence because of the murders in Paris. Supergirl was excellent. She showed her strength and speed and she also demonstrated she was smart. She cleverly sealed the cracks in the building with her laser vision while she held up the foundation. She saved the city from a bomber and she talked a suicide bomber into allowing a train full of people to escape his bomb. The downside was the mastermind did all of that damage just to test Supergirl and find her weakness. He seems to hate her for no apparent reason. Winn and Kara’s attempt to babysit Cat’s son was entertaining. Cat might have fired Kara except she noticed the happy change in her son. He seemed a little like the boy on Scorpion – shy but brilliant. When Supergirl was injured and saw Henshaw’s red eyes, she must have thought it was her imagination because she did not mention it to Alex. They seem to have resolved the likelihood of James and Kara becoming a couple. I agree they have made James too perfect. I like Winn and maybe Kara will realize he would make a nice boyfriend. I saw this over the weekend and it feels good to have seen an episode using an antenna--even better to have successfully gotten TiVo to record it. Where I live, an outdoor antenna would probably mean better results but I ddn't want to spend the money--never mind that cable costs more. But there are still some channels that still wouldn't work, plus WGN America, Time Warner News and Pop. The train was exciting. For a minute there I thought James might have to call Superman because she can't be in two places at once. Imagine criticizing her for saving fewer people. I just thought the airport problem could have been dealt with by others, but ther train problem couldn't. Cat's son also reminds me of Ralph on "Scorpion". I enjoyed watching her mess up with him. I don't think Kara should wear her hair down because she might be recognized, but her hair does appear different when she's Supergirl. I want to know where her clothes were when she stopped by the school. |

Wow. That wasn't pleasant. Poor Kara can't do anything and she feels helpless, just letting people die.
I do wonder how she changed to her costume with a broken arm, and back to her regular clothes.
I had forgotten she was bleeding at the end of the last episode, so it was connected and not an isolated incident.
Meanwhile, now we know the truth about Hank.
I was surprised Cat didn't turn to Winn to fix things. Finally, she found out about him and he did.

I'm also confused about how to pronounce her name. Is it Car-a or Ker-a? Someone said it like Kyra.

I was disappointed that Cat already figured out Kara was Supergirl. I'm also confused about how to pronounce her name. Is it Car-a or Ker-a? Someone said it like Kyra. In the early episodes, Cat kept mispronouncing Kara's name as Ker-a even after Kara kept correcting her. I interpreted that as an example of Cat's utter disregard for her employees. I see no reason for Kara to get fired, especially by Cat. Cat will want to have the scoop on all of Supergirl's activities. I wonder if they will find a way to erase Cat's memory so she will not remember Kara is Supergirl. |

I liked the way Kara handled Cat's demand to prove she wasn't Supergirl. When Hank was a hologram, I figured they'd do that because Dean cain did that 20 years earlier. But Hank can shape-shift.
Some people pronounce it Call-El, not Kyle-El. Jor-El on "Smallville" did.

It was good and John Jonzz played more of a role.
Winn's confession of loving Kara needed to be said. But her refusal to change their status might lead to trouble because he kept saying he has a lot of anger inside him.
Alex underestimated the billionaire. When they were having dinner, he planted a device on her which lets him spy on her and he saw that Supergirl is Alex's sister.
