I never looked at "Hot in Cleveland" and I had no idea it was weird. Wow!

It's not really any weirder than most shows, but the girls have really bad experiences with dating whenever they're not in a committed relationship. Betty White's character acts much younger than her age, which is also weird.
And now the bad news. I thought surely the last five episodes would be available. I just didn't want to watch that way. The last two are available along with the first three. I have the opportunity with Netflix, but I don't want to use that unless there is some big reason for taking advantage of another free trial. I don't think I've gotten any notices about that lately, but I might have.
What this means is the night I lost an episode, but could have recorded it with an antenna if I had known what was happening, I lost the episode until The CW reruns it. I don't know why they quit rerunning the series.

That is unfortunate because Riverdale turned out to be a very interesting mystery and the characters continue to evolve.

I'm putting this show on the list of shows to watch last. I'm hoping to find an illegal copy of the episode I missed, but until I see that episode, I'll just wait on all the others.

Things are heating up, but I think the mystery is no closer to being solved. Cheryl’s game of revealing secrets is mean but I enjoyed it. My favorite was Veronica accusing Cheryl of twincest. I think Jughead is now my favorite character. When he and Betty were in the diner, he was not wearing his hat, but his hair was still in the shape of the hat. Perhaps that was his way of exposing his true self to Betty. Veronica and Cheryl’s dance-off was entertaining. Perhaps the Archie comics were not as light as I remember or perhaps I was too young to grasp what was happening. I like Jughead better than I did. I didn't notice he wasn't wearing the hat, but he mentions how he always wears it. I liked seeing Veronica dance myself. Archie's party got out of hand quickly. He was lucky there was an adult there, even if it was Jughead's father. Veronica had mixed feelings about helping her father but I suppose she finally did the right thing. I was surprised someone called her mother innocent.

Wow. What a weekend. I had time to watch four episodes. It was hard to get through the first two, but the third one, the worst of all, resolved the first murder. Then there was a cliffhanger and I was so glad I didn't have to wait all summer to see the next episode.

Chapter Eleven: To Riverdale and Back AgainThe episode centered around an annual school dance, but there was a lot happening in the background. The highlights that I can remember are: Mrs. Cooper is convinced Jughead’s father killed Jason on behalf of Veronica’s father. She convinced Veronica to search F.J.’s trailer to look for evidence. Veronica and Archie did not find any incriminating evidence. Later, F.J. was arrested after officers searched the trailer and found the gun that killed Jason. F.J. is being framed. Polly was caught snooping around the Blossoms’ bedroom. She later used a ruse to get Cheryl to take her to the bedroom. Cheryl found the engagement ring in her mother’s dresser and became suspicious. Cheryl lied and told her parents she destroyed the ring, It's F.P. and I thought it was strange he was so quick to confess and gave the cops so much information. I wondered how Archie and Veronica could have missed that gun, but now we know the truth.

1.13 Chapter Thirteen: The Sweet Hereafter FINALE 5-11-17
Archie and Veronica continue to grow closer; Betty confronts her mother; Jughead finds himself in an unexpected situation; Hermione makes Fred an offer that seems too good to be true; Cheryl takes matters into her own hands. I've lost track of what happened in each episode. Hermione had no business firing those people without Fred's consent. Now we don't know whether that was connected. At least F.P. didn't snitch and that is helping Jughead at least, and maybe Fred. It was a shame someone did that to Betty. I wondered why Betty was wearing such a fancy dress but it was the Homecoming Dance. I wonder why homecoming is so late that there is snow on the ground. I liked how Betty looked all dressed up but to me Veronica looks better when she isn't dressed up. I did like her petty dresses that were just for school. It was great that the others saved Cheryl after she had been so mean. I couldn't believe Cheryl did what she did and now her mom is suffering as a result.

Here is a copy of the article from Kyle:
Season three of Riverdale premieres on The CW Oct. 10. Speaking at the Television Critics Association Summer Press Tour, Luke Perry, who plays Archie's father, Fred, said he thought he was signing up for a different show. "Honestly, I didn't have my glasses on," he said. "I looked at the script and thought it said Riverdance. I thought I was going to play Michael Flatley."
Perry said the highlight of season three is his character not getting shot. "I haven't taken any bullets yet this season," said Perry, whose character started season two with a bullet in him after being shot at the diner. "Having said that, it ain't over, and it's Riverdale."
Many of a certain age still see Perry as Dylan McKay from Beverly Hills 90210. Perry likes that playing Fred allows him to flex some different muscles. "I enjoy playing the nice guy, the stay-at-home dad," he said. "It's something new for me."
The writers' room constantly keeps him guessing. "This is definitely not the Archie I remember," Perry said. "The pilot blew me away. There were five or six moments where I went, WHAT?"
So, like, how would Perry have done on Riverdance? "I'd have given it my best," he said.

I'm watching a new show called "BH90210". Most of the original cast of "90210" is involved. They play themselves, only with worse lives than their real lives, and they are trying to make a new series. They were drinking when someone mentioned Luke and they raised their glasses, saying "To Luke".
Later some kids were watching the show Mommy was on and there was Luke again. The action stopped and there was a message with Luke's name and his birth and death dates.

Is this really season four? If so we need a thread, please.
At the same time as the episode was airing, Lainey on "Schooled" was stalking the biology teacher and ended up competing with her on trivia night. Who was the original cast member of "Facts of Life" who was in "The Breakfast club"? On The CW, she was Archie's mom.
Someone pushed the wrong button and I had to watch what I missed online. It appeared I didn't miss anything. Whatever was being said when the station went to a commercial was followed immediately by the kids visiting the accident site.
I never dreamed the episode about Fred's death would be like this. It was amazing.
Fred was a hero. And not just when he saved the woman's life. They got Shannen Doherty to be that woman!
Lots of classic cars. The hearse was a '61 Dodge, which to me is not a good-looking car. I was doing some research and others agreed.
It really bothered me that Archie was able to find the man accused of killing his father but they handled it well. The father was protecting his son and Archie could have easily done the same thing.
I have missed a lot of episodes. The cop was named Jones? Jughead's Dad has been more of a criminal than a good guy. I will watch all the missing episodes eventually. I just find the show unpleasant.

For now, I'll just post here. I guess it would be all right for me to start a thread.
Things aren't as bad as they were so I've started watching again. The show isn't pleasant but it does has Archie, Betty and Veronica. Even Jughead is more pleasant.
So Veronica's parents are in jail and she isn't helping them. As long as she's doing all right on her own.
Betty's mother is undercover but Betty can't tell anyone. Or shouldn't.
Reggie has an abusive father. How come we're just now learning this?
Jughead is back at Riverdale High. For now.

Veronica actually changed her name!
Now it makes sense that the family name is Lodge.
Jughead is handling himself well at his new school. I was surprised his nemesis didn't care for his writing.
Moose hasn't solved his problems. And I was surprised he liked a girl, because I thought he had "come out".
I'm so happy Betty and the others managed to get her mother and everyone else out of that cult.

This shows how lost I am. I didn't know Betty lost her father or that the sheriff was with her mother.
The family was hardly together if Polly was committed and Jughead was at school.
That was mean what they did to Jughead.
Weatherbee was bad but this new man is worse.
I hope Archie can solve his community center problems. I actually have a Captain Pureheart comic book. I had forgotten I had any superheroes other than Mighty Mouse.

So Betty's brother may not be who he says he is. And now Betty thinks she's a serial killer because of what she did to her cat. But we found out the cat was suffering. Though there must have been a better way.
Jughead's dad didn't want to go to that school and I don't blame him.
Jughead gets a chance to write more of the books that he enjoyed as a child. And he found out the truth about his grandfather.
Hiram is out and Hermione is still in and I'm so confused.
Which episode had Veronica fleeing a criminal? Oh, right, the Halloween episode.
Archie is still having problems at his community center. And he's a senior. Gangs are like family so the problem won't be easy to solve.

See the Vent Thread.
I'm about to give up on this show again.
The gang leader knows Archie. And someone shot at him.
Jughead made a discovery about his grandfather. And his teacher ... is that real or a class assignment? The new teacher is the author who refuses to admit the truth.
Too much going on with Betty.
Cheryl's not crazy but her relatives are making trouble.

Two details I forgot last week when it was so late.
Veronica mentioned Dame Julie Andrews and said, "Let's start at the very beginning." She sure is working hard to have so much money. She's working at Pop's but has her own speakeasy. And I like the music there.
And a '64 Mercury. Good looking car with a distinctive real windshield.
Now for this week. The relatives of the gang member made even more trouble but I'm glad I was around for it. Archie's mom got rid of them! But only because they got lucky. And they honored his father.
Cheryl has become the comic relief. But it's really dark comedy. I was glad she got rid of her family.
I don't see how Jughead was allowed to stay at school during the holiday. And Betty was with him. It appears Jughead is getting along better with his roommate.
If it was such a serious ice storm why did no one's power go out?

I forgot to post when I saw the last episode. Now there are two.
Cheryl's adventures are still funny, I guess. She has more family problems to solve.
Veronica and her father are reminding me of Fallon and Blake. Imagine not going to Harvard because her father got her in. But then she'd be off the show and we can't have that. The woman from Columbia surprised me because I thought surely she was done.
I really don't like what's happening with Betty. But I did like how she convinced her younger self not to kill an animal. Except that wasn't real.
I liked how Jughead found his grandfather and how things started out but the results were what would be expected.
Archie should never have gone so far that he had to be told to please not kill someone.

Why are they still playing football? What time of year is it?
I thought surely that guy would get hurt and never play again. He dodged a bullet. Uncle frank to the rescue, but Archie isn't too happy with him.
Veronica's father found out what she was doing and stopped her, but she's got a plan.
Cheryl is still the show's comic relief. She tried, but the cheerleaders have to do what they have to do.

"I've got spurs that jingle-jangle".
I don't like seeing the others treat Betty that way.
Archie did the right thing and now the Ghoulies are no longer a threat. For now. But wow, if he hadn't stopped the car the way he did.
Jughead is doing the right thing. It's not ideal he belongs to the Serpents but it's the only way to solve the problems.
Cheryl was cute as usual.
So the teacher is the villain.

I knew I forgot something.
So now Jughead is obligated because he asked for a favor. I have seen the next two episodes because I lost them when the TiVo got full but forget what happened. So when I get to the next episode, I guess I'll find out.
Jughead has to deliver drugs for the Ghoulies. And no, his father wasn't beaten up. But he is in jail.
Cheryl was funny as usual.
And other than that I don't remember.

How in the world will they fit all the Southside students into the other schools?
Up until now I thought Riverdale had only two high schools.
I don't like that he has to face consequences but I respect Jughead for refusing to take off his jacket.
All those gang members now have to wear polo shirts. That can't be pleasant.
Betty found her brother. And that may not be good. On the other hand, Polly is raising the twins on her own and cutting off contact.
I don't blame Fred for not wanting to be obligated to the Lodges.
I was confused by seeing Jughead's father out of jail but I did miss two episodes that I saw much earlier when I had to go online.
And Cheryl was funny as usual.

Betty's brother still seems creepy.
They opened a can of worms by doing real research on the origin of the Serpents. Many members of a Native American tribe were killed for no reason, and the people being honored are responsible. You don't change a town's mind about someone they have regarded that highly. And Cheryl's mom doesn't seem to care.
Archie finally pleased Mr. Lodge. But I was worried about him going up against stronger wrestlers.
I think I missed talking about two episodes here but this is all I can think of now.
