Seeing Veronica being confirmed was strange. Mobsters think they can go to church on Sunday and all is forgiven. Veronica is more believable as a religious person, but her parents sure don't act that way. Veronica definitely had some things to confess but the penance seemed too easy.
Jughead is still facing consequences for his article. And I couldn't believe he did that to the woman who was making his life miserable. That must have happened in one of the episodes I had to watch online when I lost them.
Betty's brother is causing trouble and her father can't be around.
See the Vent Thread for why watching this gets more challenging before it gets way more challenging.

The "Simpsons" episode "The Hateful Eight-Year-Olds" has the actresses playing Veronica and Betty doing voices. They're great. Nasty, and not like their characters here, but they do the voices so well.

www.comicskingdom.com/mother-goose-grimm/2020-10-12 Some comments (or you could scroll down): That abomination of a TV show called Riverdale is so disgusting. You'll notice that they waited until Victor Gorlick (longtime editor-in-chief for Archie Comics) retired before creating that cesspool show. I suspect he was blocking them before. Not surprised he died soon after, seeing his life's work turned into THAT.

Lili Reinhart was nominated for a Super Award. The winner in the category was from "The Boys".
Weird that she was in a category for superheroes, but any show based on comic books was eligible.

I wanted to see Hiram's origin story. Interesting but violent. This man is not nice. How did Veronica turn out so well?

I made a big mistake thinking I could enjoy this show. It's just as bad as it ever was. I suppose it was funny watching Betty get high. It would have been a better episode if it had focused on what Betty was doing, but I did not like seeing Jughead in that situation. I didn't even know it was him.
I was amazed Archie could fix things at his school. I guess he's had enough experience working for his father's company that he can run things. This makes me wonder what if Luke Perry had lived. His mother was mentioned but missing. I guess Molly Ringwald is expensive.
And after all that I'm not ready to watch this week's.

I'm a week behind but I'm going to keep going.
Betty looked hot.
Cheryl is so religious and yet she dresses like a hooker and participates in that sexy performance.
Not everyone likes it but I was so happy when at my church service there was a recording of "Blest Be the Tie That Binds".
Archie seems to have gone to war. Since this is taking place in the future we don't know what war. I could have done without that.
Betty nearly got herself killed and she was pretending to be in the FBI when she was told not to.

This show continues to get worse. One positive thing about it is Cole Sprouse's acting.
The latest episode was three short episodes in one, rather than going back and forth between separate plots. Maybe that was a good thing.
Archie and his crew were mining at the Blossom estate and there was some sort of poison gas, and he's still having flashbacks.
Betty thinks she has the man who killed Polly, if Polly is dead. And her mother went after him. This is not the Betty we know. At least that Betty was on the phone with Jughead in the third plot line, where Jughead recalls the events that led to him ending up on the street.

Oh, good, a normal episode for a change. I like Josie and the Pussycats a lot better than when the show began. They seem so much nicer. And it was great to see them getting along.
But it looks like we have a new mystery to solve.

And we're solving a different mystery. Betty seems to have found Polly but it wasn't without a lot of unpleasantness and dangerous activities. And no, Polly is not alive. And we don't know how bad it was.
Archie and one of his crew got trapped in the mine. Veronica to the rescue! And she threatened to kill her father. Also, her ex (yes, she was married!) was trying to make trouble. But she's back with Archie now.
I don't even know who some of these people are.
Jughead is still around.

Over the weekend thanks to my being able to see what the actual newspaper looks like, I know already.
Were those last five episodes really that bad? I may never get around to watching. I will post when there is a link online.
I didn't have the courage to watch last night.

The reason this show is on The CW is that is based on a comic book. Now I have discovered a new reason: they have super powers.

Season 7 looks like it is going to be good. Great looking cars, great music, and at least for one episode Jughead looked insane.
They don't know what is happening!
Emmett Till is this season's big topic, at least so far. They handled it really well.

I'm really enjoying this. Well, except for Jughead's girlfriend being covered with blood. I don't know what that means.
But now that they've introduced it, it's like they've reinvented the show and it's really taking place in the 50s.

Okay, now it's getting dark again.
But the cars look great and the music sound good and overall, it's still entertaining most of the time.

I'm still watching.
It sounds very much like a show set in the present would, with some differences because of the lack of modern technology.
Now a '58 Buick wouldn't exist (looks good though) and "Unchained Melody" had not been recorded. The music is great.

Okay, that was a weird and violent episode, but acceptable because it was all in Jughead's imagination.

Back to normal, if you can call it that.
Teens attracted to each other and dating. Some dating the same gender.

And the milkman has struck again. I was really hoping that man would stay around.
So now Reggie is introduced. He doesn't even look Korean. Also, why if the war just happened is his father married to a Korean woman? If it was because of the war Reggie would be a baby.
Still good, but I guess it could be over soon. I've got plenty left but they're not from 1955.

Veronica is so smart and capable. She overcame even though her parents sabotaged her theater.
Betty is a good girl. Why are they doing this to her?

This is such a good show. I'm going to miss it. I've got a bunch of episodes recorded but not from 1955.
That magazine the guys were looking at had a 1959 Ford in it. Someone was driving a 1957 Pontiac. Oh, well.
Now it's Reggie and Archie who aren't getting along.
The book club with Black members was having quite an intelligent discussion. Cheryl seemed uncomfortable but I guess she benefits.
I liked how Jughead and the girl were able to help Rayberry's wife.

I feel like the frog in the hot water.
It's getting to be like the series was originally and I don't even mind because it's the 50s and that makes it enjoyable. But we have a new murder mystery. And it's actually entertaining.
Veronica is very good at what she does. The Coopers are too uptight. I will admit I don't think such music existed in 1955.

Cheryl's father is so mean to her.
Reggie's skin is not dark. In fact, I think one of the Bulldogs looks like he came from another country.
I am pleased that Reggie got to be team captain.
Jughead and his friend are getting to do their comic books, in spite of criticism.
Somewhere I saw they are going to realize the are not supposed to be in 1955.

Now they're burning comic books!
Archie's teacher was fired for being a Communist, but now Mrs. Grundy is back. Archie can write poetry again.
Veronica had to go against her principles to keep her father out of trouble.

They are very talented signers and dancers. Good music too, but I doubt seriously that Cole Porter would have written that one song.
I was surprised the principal didn't object to that evil rock and roll. He seemed to be enjoying it. But ultimately he rejected it in favor of "Oklahoma!" Amazingly, as I type this I am hearing "Oh, What a Beautiful Morning" on a British online radio station.

Ethel is quite a singer. She doesn't have an ideal body like the other girls but she is attractive. Four of the five other girls looked hot in their dresses. Was that what they really did to pregnant girls?
It was nice to hear "Some Enchanted Evening" instead of the junk that normally accompanies these competitions. I haven't seen one on TV.
