Season 6 will probably begin early 2018 and be reduced to 13 episodes. *** "Joan (Lucy Liu) will have to break into Sherlock's (Jonny Lee Miller) psychological prison and drag him back to reality in the upcoming installment of "Elementary." According to Hypable, Joan is the only person who can save her partner from further harm." link

If it's going to be like that I'd rather it be only 13 episodes.
At this point I'd like a series with the actors in that movie I saw the first hour of in the mountains.

I liked it. Sherlock's personal issues did not spoil the episode.
The case involved the murder of several people - for money! The police were going to have a hard time proving who committed the crime. Luckily, a woman gave Sherlock a video that gave him a clue to solving the case.
His deductive skills are still in tact.
Sherlock's recovery "friends" are more trouble than he bargained more.

So far Sherlock can still figure things out. His problems id bother me enough that I'm not ready to consider this show one of my top ten. But the parts I liked certainly qualified.
The man at the meeting said he wasn't sure Sherlock would remember him. He didn't know Sherlock, but given his current situation, maybe Sherlock didn't remember.
We did have one scene with Watson coming home to something annoying.
And Rube Goldberg in the opening "credits".
I didn't follow how Sherlock concluded the video would solve the murder.

And Rube Goldberg in the opening "credits". I didn't follow how Sherlock concluded the video would solve the murder. Who is Rube Goldberg? My interpretation of Sherlock's logic is that on previous videos, we saw the ex-boyfriend walk over to the camera and get it ready for recording. On the video that gave Sherlock the clue, the ex came in and got busy without needing to set the camera to record. Sherlock concluded there must be something that automatically set the camera to start recording and maybe it also led to the murder being recorded.

I think he's the one known for contraptions like the one with the little ball that rolls at the beginning of some episodes. I appreciate that interpretation.

I enjoyed the episode. Sherlock’s illness did not adversely affect his crime-solving skills this week. He inspected a vehicle and suggested the gravel in the tires was most likely from a specific area and he was correct. He was suspicious of the three police officers going into the building instead of the usual team of two; he was alert to the way the man reached across his body to open the car door; and he knew if there was a dirty bomb, the criminal would avoid the area instead of going into a building near the bomb site.
It is a nice perk to learn tidbits of trivia like the way the Dutch open doors to avoid hitting cyclists.
I loved the type of puzzles Joan gave Sherlock to assemble.
Most of the time Joan encourages Sherlock to do something about an issue. I enjoyed seeing Sherlock encourage her to read the letter written by her father. I do not really care about her sister, but it is good that Joan has someone else in her life.

Once again, Sherlock's problems don't interfere with what he does.
At the same time, there was almost no humor and this show is not on its way back to the top 10. The only jokes involved the jigsaw puzzles and Sherlock didn't annoy Watson.
I'm glad Sherlock told Watson she shouldn't throw out the letter.

I am interested in Sherlock's friendship with Michael. I should not assume Michael is a murderer; he could be a clean-up guy or fixer.

I forgot to mention that Sherlock said one week something about "The indignity" of finding out his brain was normal.
On "Jeopardy" the last three categories in one round were "Elementary", "My dear" and "What's on?"

The show is getting better. Sherlock annoyed Watson with a welding helmet to help him with his headaches. Then he did something annoying to wake her up.

I noticed Sherlock had a different attitude toward the war than the Americans did.

I noted that. I believe the conversation went along the lines of it was the beginning of the end versus the end of the beginning.

Our Time Is Up
SEASON 6, EPISODE 4 • NEW 5/21/18, 10:00 PM ON WJZDT 13 • TV-PG • STEREO • CC

It's continuing to get better. Watson is annoyed by the sensory deprivation chamber.
I sincerely hope it's the actor and not Sherlock who has all those tattoos. That would be too much work to do every time he takes off his shirt.
That was way too much blood. Why was that necessary?
I don't like the idea of Watson adopting. She already has a child to take care of.
And once again, Watson smiles. She has never once smiled in Sherlock's presence.

We did not discuss Michael's request. He humbly asked Sherlock to investigate the disappearance of a woman who attended some of the AA group meetings. She appeared to be the woman Michael buried. Therefore, did Michael approach Sherlock in order to play a cat and mouse game to see if he can outsmart him? I am interested in seeing what happens even though it is not fair to do that while Sherlock is ill.

There was no way I could even guess who was responsible for the murders. It is a good thing this show likes to explain their theories in much detail.
Whether or not Michael cares about Sherlock, he is not normal. If Sherlock was not focused on his current issues, I am sure he would thoroughly investigate his stalker buddy.
The Captain has been upset with Sherlock in the past, but he is very angry this time. It might take a lot to mend the relationship. I think Sherlock was going to acknowledge he should have advised the Captain about his illness, but the Captain cut him off before he could.

The Captain seemed so different in this episode. I get why Sherlock didn't want to tell him, but now he's in real trouble and might not get to help at all.
Having a mysterious head counts as Sherlock annoying Watson this week. I think he did it in other ways but I can't remember right now.
No matter what, Sherlock finds a way to stay involved even if he's not really supposed to. Regardless of what happened when he brought home the head, he seems to be fully capable otherwise.
I haven't figured out what to say about Michael.

I didn't recognize Michael until the end. I didn't know to expect him so I had no reason to think he was anyone special. I think it'[s terrible what happened to the Captain's daughter.
Watson shouldn't have told Sherlock about Hannah but he really pushed her.
I know Sherlock annoyed Watson several times but I've forgotten how.
Sherlock was surprised the man found his brownstone. Was that this week?

Was that this week? I think Michael is the main villain this season so I have been very interested in his motive. Yes, that was the episode when he showed up at the brownstone uninvited. I agree Watson should not have told Sherlock about Hannah. When he insisted he would ask the Captain if Watson did not tell him, I thought she should have let him do that. He approached the Captain anyway and now the Captain cannot trust Watson to keep his confidences. Michael did a terrible and unnecessary cruel act to get Sherlock's attention. Sherlock will hate him for it and I am concerned that Sherlock will become violent.

I am glad they focused on the serial killer because I had been waiting to see how Sherlock handled it. For a moment, it seemed like Sherlock believed Michael's lies. But as soon as he saw Watson, he assured her that Michael was indeed the killer.
I am glad the Captain does not seem to be angry with either Joan or Sherlock.
When Sherlock told Joan he was going away to get better, I did not believe him, but based on the previews, he did get better. I am looking forward to seeing an enthusiastic Sherlock. I am sure he will return to having fun at Joan's expense.

I'm happy the Captain isn't angry too.
I do want Sherlock to have fun at Watson's expense. That's the best part.
I saw the prettiest photo of Lucy Liu in one of the newspapers. She almost never smiles on the show.
Sherlock was doing a good job of not doing to Michael what should be done. I was surprised he had such self-control.
Sooner or later we knew Sherlock would end up in the hospital. I was relieved he hadn't really started using again.
