Lethal Weapon was fun to watch. Capt. Avery’s video explanation of what the show is about was pertinent to what the Commissioner said about him. That was well played.
Murtaugh and Riggs defied death several times. I am amused by the hundreds of bullets that whiz past them. I had to laugh when Murtaugh said they were going to need more grenades.
It was a funny scene when Murtaugh arrived home and wound up having to apologize and be soft spoken even though he did not feel like it.

I didn't think they could possibly keep the show the way it is with Riggs chasing after the man who had his wife killed. But they succeeded, and then some.
I was worried Avery was leaving. I don't want him to. But he was announcing our heroes had their badges back.
The scene where Riggs was in the church was great, if disrespectful to churches.

More hijinks from Riggs and Murtaugh, but Murtaugh got in more trouble than Riggs. The Captain is catching more heat for their antics, but I was happy to see him go into the field.
The scenes involving the boats were very exciting. There should be a list of the various ways the team has killed someone and add "harpooned" to the list.
The Assistant Chief is definitely messing with Murtaugh, but I liked her suggestion to stop talking two minutes before you think you should. In the promos, I thought I saw her pat Murtaugh on the bun, but she caressed his hand in the episode. Then she played the song he had mentioned. That was funny.

Does anyone besides me who watches this how watch "Saving Hope"? One of the doctors from that show was a doctor here.
I was worried about the captain but maybe he'll be all right.
Riggs is acting normal and he accomplished things before the others even got there!
And the shrink is still gorgeous.

2.03 Born to Run
10-10-17
Murtaugh and Riggs investigate the mysterious death of famous singer Shaye's bodyguard; Murtaugh uses his daughter's knowledge of the singer to uncover possible suspects; Murtaugh helps Riggs learn about relationships.

Lethal weapon – The guys antics were fun to watch. Riggs should not be anywhere near someone’s wedding. When he accidentally tossed a naked man over the balcony, the man fell on the wedding cake. I guess that is better than the man landing on the pavement.
Later, Riggs punched the singer’s agent because he had been physically abusing her.
Murtaugh was fun to watch also, especially when he got in trouble with Trish. He heroically saved the singer and it was all filmed on social media. Then Bailey put Murtaugh’s face on the poster for “face of the department”. Trish was very proud of him, but Riana was upset because her friends said he ruined the singer’s career. Riana will never make my list of favorite characters.
Riggs saved the music agent from going over the cliff with the car, but he was not necessarily being a hero. His actions convinced the interim Captain that Riggs really is crazy. Later, Riggs was sitting in his car and watching his lady friend lie to him. If it was anyone other than Riggs, I would have felt sorry; but I do not expect Riggs to have a normal relationship anytime soon.

It was a fun episode overall, and while Riggs is acting more normal, the woman filling in for Avery knows what he is really like and apparently that's a good thing.
Riana's reaction to everything is pretty much what one would expect.
That was an exciting chase and I didn't know whether Riggs would actually risk his own life to save that man. But finally putting him in a position where he had to admit abusing the singer made sense.
It's no fun for Palmer to be naked if they're going to talk about serious stuff.
I was happy to see the good-looking new detective get put in his place. Murtaugh deserved to be on the poster.

I enjoyed the episode. It was funny that Capt. Avery thought the seminar was a promotional opportunity but his boss, Gina Santos, explained it was a disciplinary action. Then Riggs and Murtaugh came in and started playing with the captain instead of being serious. That did not bode well for the captain. After the take-down, I was a little surprised that Santos showed empathy for Avery and offered him a chance to transfer to a safer environment. That was very nice.
The airplane heist was dangerous and thoughtless because Cooper’s daughter would be under suspicion. Then he used her earring to open the handcuffs. He was charming and incorrigible. I have always liked Adrian Pasdar who played Cooper.
That was a nice shot Murtaugh took. Riggs did some fancy shooting too. I admired the way he shot the man’s foot from under the car.
I like the way Murtaugh and Riana worked things out at the end. I gave my daughter a giant panda that looked exactly like Riana's. We won it during a vacation trip and tied it to the roof of the car. All the way home, people kept waving and smiling at the panda.
Also, I am glad Riggs is still meeting with Dr. Cahill.

It bothered me that Avery is being punished for the actions of Riggs and Murtaugh. If we don't have their erratic behavior, we don't have a show.
Riana is once again behaving the way teenagers are expected to.
Trish needs to represent Cabe on "Scorpion".

It is 2 a.m., but since I am still laughing, I am just going to say I think where Riggs is living is hilarious. I did not see that coming.
Also, Leo Getz is always good for a laugh. He is the most pitiful lawyer ever! He filed a law suit against the Police Department on Murtaugh's behalf without asking him. The Captain was wondering why Murtaugh would sue them. This episode was very funny.

This week's victim had terrible taste in music. And we had to hear it.
"The Odd Couple" was cancelled so Leo may be showing up a lot. I didn't recognize him at first.
I wondered how Riggs got away with living where he did, but Jim Rockford did the same thing. I liked how he tried to move into his shrink's office. t looks like his new situation may work out. I don't think having him inside would have worked.

2.06 Gold Rush
11-14-17
Riggs' childhood friends may be involved in a robbery-homicide case; Murtaugh thinks one of his kids is using marijuana.

|
|
Post by AntiArbitrator on Nov 15, 2017 16:50:26 GMT -5
Murtaugh was really funny in this one. First, he accused his teenagers of putting marijuana in the cupboard. Next, he asked Trish. The hilarious part was when he thought about Harper who is only two years old. Riggs took advantage of Murtaugh unintentionally getting high on some gummy bears to have fun with him.
Riggs did owe his friend a debt that cannot be repaid. It looked as if his father was in such a rage, the blows could have caused permanent harm. I would have let the friend walk away with one bar of gold so he could make a new start.
Riggs does not want Murtaugh to pity him and that makes it difficult to share the details of the incident. Capt. Avery knows Riggs let his friend get away, but he is a very understanding man.

Wait, I didn't even notice any comment about Harper. I wondered if the baby would be a suspect, but of course that's ludicrous.
I never expected things to get that bad with Riggs' father.
I was relieved Avery didn't take any action against Riggs for what he did. Riggs could have been in real trouble.

Murtaugh was talking to Trish and said something like could it be Harper, then started laughing and giggling. He was munching on the gummy bears and Trish realized he was high.

Birdwatching
I wish I had fewer shows to watch, but I really enjoy the shows on my list.
Murtaugh was in more trouble than Riggs this week. Trish chaired a fundraiser and received a lot of texts from someone named Scott. She kept giggling when she read the texts and Murtaugh became jealous. He made a nuisance of himself at the fundraiser. I guess that was amusing, but I think Roger was very funny when he pretended he was birdwatching. He looked very goofy.
I felt bad for the young surfer who wound up dead on the beach. He surfed too close to some very bad people. I cringed at what the gang did to Austin. I thought it was just a threat, but they hurt him in front of his father.
We saw a lot more of the trauma Riggs suffers because of his abusive father. I hope he did not see his father’s face like that when he was younger, but seeing it in his nightmares was bad enough. Dr. Cahill did not give in to Riggs' request for drugs. I was a little surprised at her reaction to Riggs searching her office for drugs. They certainly have a special relationship. It seemed Riggs was finally ready to talk at the end of the episode.
Det. Bailey likes to tease Det. Bowman, but it was nice of her to research information on dolphins and tell him that they do sometimes attack people. It seems people love to treat Bowman like a hero.

Michael Jordan owns the Hornets.
Murtaugh was wrong to arrest the man at the fundraiser. I believed Riggs was too quick to accuse the man. As we later learned, there was another reason for the drugs to be there. Still, it was funny.
Riggs' nightmares bothered me but I liked how he petered the shrink for help.
I don't like Bowman. This week, though, he was the expert and not on the B team.
Hitting dolphins is okay if they're mahi-mahi, but that was unlikely.

2.08 Fork-Getta-Bout It
11-28-17
Riggs and Murtaugh are led into the mob world as they investigate a murder in a hospital; Murtaugh learns that Riana is secretly dating his neighbor; Riggs spends more time with his childhood friend; Scorsese's real name is revealed.
|
|
|
Post by AntiArbitrator on Nov 30, 2017 13:59:21 GMT -5
Even though this episode was about the mob, there was enough humor in it to keep it light and fun to watch.
Murtaugh and his neighbor’s feud is funny and I think it was very funny their kids dated just to drive them crazy.
When the show first aired, Murtaugh was the “safe” one in the partnership, but I do not think that is still true. He does dangerous and outrageous stunts along with Riggs. The shootout in the market was dangerous, but I had to laugh when the doctor ran back to the cart to grab a pack of diapers.
I think Riggs is sweet on his childhood friend and it made me laugh when he opened her front door before her date could kiss her.
I thought the hit woman had killed the agent when they were in the elevator and I thought there was no way she was going to get Witsec. The agent had a sense of humor and the deal worked out was okay.
I like Scorsese and I hope he realizes his dream of writing a book, especially if he has more opportunities to imitate Murtaugh.
