I don't think it was Cas who took the beer. It wouldn't fit in to him coming back from where ever he is. Personal theory I think i's Bobby because Death (was it Death?) gave Bobby the option to go with him or stay behind in Limbo? So personally think Bobby decided to stay behind. Sometimes the love for Cas by some fans shouldn't shadow you by thinking logically because not everything is about Cas.

Not trying to be rude, but I read a couple of your posts and don't get the impression that you're a Cas fan. This is the Castiel Fan Club thread. There may be posters in here who, in your opinion, may try to make everything about Cas but this is the safe area to do so just as the skeptics thread is the safe zone to criticize him.

I hope you get the point of what I was trying to say. Not trying to run you off, but this isn't a debate thread and neither is the skeptics thread.

If I'm wrong, I apologize.

I think the ONLY reason the Levis would keep Cas in any form would be because of his Grace. I seriously doubt they'd keep his empty vessel. I really don't think Cas is responsible for the disappearing beer thing. He COULD be but Misha's return was just announced over the hellatus and they have filmed through 7.14 right? I think it's too early to be looking for signs of Cas. JMO.

I agree that it's too soon to look for signs of Cas. SPN's current crop of writers isn't good enough to build a good season long arc. Given S7 so far, I imagine Misha's return might be out of the blue, and WTF?

As for the disappearing beer mystery, I'm favoring the Father Time theory, but whatever.

I also expect Cas's return to be a WTF moment. I think we'll see him at the very end of 7.17 as a cliff hanger. Oh dear oh dear. I'm worried about this!

I also don't expect them to mention him hardly at all before his return.

Humm true, I'm thinking they had plans to bring back Cas all along, so even though we only knew he'd come back a few weeks back, they've known for a while.

I'm not sure the Levis can hold on to Cas' Grace - they aren't omnipotent, they just can't really die in the normal sense.

The more I think on it, the more I think it might be Bobby. I just really don't want that to be, grr!

I really REALLY don't think there were any concrete plans to bring Cas back because just a couple of months ago, Misha was very sincere at a convention in telling fans he hadn't heard anything about coming back. I'm sure the writers were throwing around ideas...but didn't have anything yet. Adam Glass did a podcast with the Winchester Bros tonight where he said the decision to kill Bobby wasn't really decided upon until it happened. It was talked about, and then BOOM. One of the writers did it and Gamble cleared it.

Honestly, I think they waited until they were sure that SPN would likely be renewed to bring Cas back. Why bring back a character if the series is going to end? SPN is supposed to end bloody, so I would think they would just leave Cas in the ground if it was the end..but things look optimistic for season 8 so...

I really think the beer has something to do with Sam. If Bobby was a ghost, Dean would likely look in the fridge and find one of his beers missing, not his own beer drank. Bobby wasn't Dean's mommy. He wouldn't dump his beer out.

I find it scary that they come up with rather big plot points on very short notice, such as killing Bobby - just a minor thing!

Good point with Cas - and I recall SG saying they had 2 synopsis for the season, 1 in case it's the last season, and 1 in case they get renewed. So you are probably right.

I'm actually not a big fan of Cas. Doesn't mean I hate the character - or that I can't speculate about it.
Try not to read too much into brainstormings - they are fun to do and rarely mean more than just that

Good advice, LC. Personally, I'd just like to see the CFC and the CSS treated as they were on the CW Lounge:: as separate and private safe havens to talk to like minded folks.

Now me personally..I don't mind people coming in and asking questions about Cas like you're doing and speculating. I'd just hate to see more Cas fans turn away from this forum because of negativity towards Castiel and those who like him. There should be one thread that is safe from it.

This place is great. The environment is great. The admin are great. I hope more Cas fans will join us eventually. :heart:

It occurred to me that it could very well have been Cas who took Dean's beer. Cas' vessel was destroyed, the Leviathans freed from his/Jimmy's body...so perhaps its was Cas trying to help Dean with his addiction problem.

Just want to apologize if I have offended anybody, lol I noticed I got 1 karma already, probably because of my post I posted here, but I realize even if it's not bashing (What I did) it's still not something I should have posted here because people are free to post their theory's and opinions about Cas without somebody putting them down. So I won't do that or come in this thread anymore=)

Heh don't worry about it. Main thing about this place, is to enjoy one self. We are all fans of the same show at the end of it all.

I'm not against the theory that it might have been Cas BUT...

I don't think the beer drinking thing was Cas either, if Cas IS supposed to be back, he has better things to do than play around with Dean's beer. Cas wanted to redeem himself to Dean and fix his mistake with the Leviathan, if he IS around in any form, I feel like he would be searching high and low to find a way to shut the Leviathan back up in Purgatory.

When I saw the beer was gone, my first instinct was "That was Bobby!", everything about it just felt like Bobby, Bobby has always been like a father to the boys, he'd be concerned about Dean drinnking away his feeling after his death. Bobby has a history of being concerned about the way Dean handles grief, Sam deals with it in a healthy way, Dean drinks himself into obvilion.

Plus one of the last memories, was Bobby bringing the boys beer while they were getting ready to watch a movie, so I think that's supposed to tie-in.

As far as Cas being behind the beer thing..mreh..I guess it COULD..but I personally don't think so. As much as I'd like to believe Cas cared about Dean's drinking, he's an enabler just like the rest of the Motley Crue.

You know, I've been thinking about the bizarre Unicorn spoiler that came out the other day. I'm seriously starting to wonder if maybe Dean is going to trip out a bit or something.

IDK. I think the beer thing DEFINITELY has significance..but I doubt it's Cas related. I don't think we'll even hear Cas's name until he returns. I'm thinking it'll be right at the very end of 7.17 too.
