novemberschild I agree. It would have been so dramatic to see Castiel cry over Dean. I understand that some of the angels already felt that Castiel loved Dean more than them, but a tragic expression accompanied by silent tears would have had a great impact.

Ashley, I am not sure what you mean, but I am not talking about Destiel in this. I am not into Destiel and don't see Destiel in between Dean and Cas.
I meant this as how significant it would be for an angel of the Lord to cry and shed tears over a human, over humanity Cas isn't like the other angels, he has been the only one to hold humans over angels, the only one to rebel against heaven for the humans. Lucifer rebelled but that was a different reason.
Cas has been the only angel that has died and came back, at least 4 times by my count and that has to be a reason for that, I don't have any idea of what the reason is and maybe down the road we will see it but for now that means that he is special in his interactions with humans. To me that means he loves humans and humanity, I think he cares more about Dean and Sam because he knows them and has fought with and for them, but he loves humanity all the same. Unfortunately we have only seen angels portrayed as arrogant, self centered, dismissive, and condescending towards humans on SPN, and I just think it would have been much more powerful to see an angel shed tears over a human, to me that would have meant more.
and before anyone slams me, I am not saying that if you are into Destiel you are wrong or deluded, everyone has the right to ship or not ship whatever they want to do. I am just saying this is how I feel.

I saw a tweet that Misha did and it had a picture of him and Jensen. He had blood on his face It makes me wonder how the new seasons is being played out and what is going to happen.

Thanks...I took a peek. Blood on his face and he is being manhandled by the director.
Did you notice the picture with the envelope from the WB? They addressed it to Ms Collins instead of Mr. Lol

I did see the envelope, I think it must be the same people handling the news crawls on all my local channels, It has only started in the last year here that I noticed where the news crawl on the bottom of the screen has all kind of typos and just some really odd sentences in it. I think they must have gotten some 3rd graders to do it. At least we know Cas will be in the 3rd episode, I hope he is in more of the season this year, last year was a little scarce.

Time to break out the cleaning supplies and clean the cobwebs out of the CFC
with the pictures coming out I think poor Cas will need a place to rest and we need to have it clean and comfy for him.
I am curious as to what is in store for Cas this season and how far will they take this diminishing grace?

Yes, poor Castiel will need comfort and our love and support.

I am thrilled to see Castiel in each episode so far. I am worried about him though after the second episode. Previously, we learned that "angels don't sleep" so when Castiel fell asleep behind the wheel of the car and then fell asleep on the sofa, I became concerned about him losing all of his grace again. Hannah has the same concern or she would not have even considered letting Metatron out of jail. It was a nice touch to put Metatron in a straight jacket; I liked that. It seems to me that Hannah capitulated too easily and might be planning to revisit the idea of getting her hands on Castiel's grace. Misha is an excellent actor and he showed so many different emotions during the episode. He went from humble to aggressive, from weak to strong, from sweet to the little girl to snarky with Sam...so many emotions. Makes me love Castiel so much.

I do not know how many episodes he will be in but I think he will play a part in trying to cure Dean. From the glimpses given in the preview, I think that will take more than one episode.

Am I the only one who noticed a major blooper in "Party On, Garth"? When the Shojo threw Garth ot the window, you can SEE the stuntman hit the inflated mattress outside.

I just spent the past hour searching Misha's feed for a link I noticed a week ago. I did not find the link, but I really enjoyed Misha's twits. MAJOR SPOILER - for Castiel fansThe link was to an article that included info that Castiel's arc would include him making amends to Jimmy's daughter.
Does anyone know who tweeted it or on what site the article originated? I recall I had never heard of the site.

AA, I too heard that spoiler, but from friends, no idea where they got it from. BTW: everyone will probably be off for the holiday....but if not, I hope to plead my case for a SPN set visit because I will be back in Vancouver in a few weeks! Nine days, over the US Thanksgiving holiday week. Filming fun! Four new series getting trailers, we will be running them back-to-back to maximize production resources. So happy! Have camera, will get to do some set photography again.

Hi Anicat! I hope you get lucky and meet some of the SPN gang, that would be great. I hope you have a great time.
Anti, I had heard that rumor but don't remember where, I think it will be interesting to have Cas run into "that person" it could be quite emotional for all involved.
If you really want to see a big blooper watch Hell House from S1, about midway thru the episode when the guys and the ghost facers are in the kitchen and all hell is breaking loose, in the bottom right hand side you can clearly see a camera man getting out of the way. and earlier in the episode when the guys are getting coffee and the guy handing Dean coffee says "thanks Jensen"

I have been thinking about some of Cas's actions this seasons and in the past seasons, and while he may not make the best decisions he does try hard to do the right thing.
He has always had the Winchesters to be his role models and he has learned about Humanity from them, and more importantly he has learned the definition of Family and what it means to truly be a family. Like Bobby said a long time ago, family don't end in blood, and even though Cas isn't a blood brother, he is an honorary brother, in every sense of the word.
With Claire in his life (at the moment) we may see an even bigger change in him this season. I saw interviews that Cas would have a very personal journey this year and I want to see where that takes us this year. I think being around Claire, and in whatever way he can help with Dean may make him learn more about himself and decide what he really wants to do with his life.

So, in the past few seasons we have seen Cas take on Sam's hallucinations for Sam, we have seen him try and save Heaven at the end of S8, we saw him and Gadreel fight to buy Dean some time to kill Metatron in S10 and we have seen him do whatever Sam asked him to this year to save Dean. We saw him not fight back in order to not hurt Dean and get beaten and almost killed in 10.22. Cas always, well almost always does whatever Sam and Dean ask him to do, in order to help and support them.
It has also been nice to see the friendship with Sam more this year, I am glad he had Cas to talk to, since this show is getting a little thin of recurring characters.
I know we were supposed to see a more personal side of Cas's story and we got to see a bit with Claire, but I think in some ways we maybe saw it but didn't hear what we needed so that we knew how he felt. I saw him with lots of pained looks but no real comments about what he was feeling. I know Cas is not as important to the show as Sam and Dean, but it would be nice to know what he is feeling.

I read so much into his expressions and no doubt give it my own interpretation, probably because, as you said, he does not verbalize his feelings. The closest he comes to expressing his feelings is the soulful way he says Dean and Sam are his friends. That always moves me.
Castiel went through the whole of S4 without winning a fight. I was so glad when he finally won a fight in S5 and I do not want him to return to seeming weak. I do understand him not wanting to hurt Dean, but I want him to be able to resist Rowena, darn it!
Fans decide who they like and which characters are important to them. I will never apologize for Castiel being my favorite character. If not for Castiel, I would not have become a fan of Supernatural. I think Supernatural appreciates all of the fans, no matter who their favorite character is.

I agree with that Anti, I started watching SPN for the stories and the brothers, but I have stayed because of Cas. I do wish they would write better for him, I understood when he first showed up and was made the butt of jokes, but he has been there a long time now and has interacted with humans enough to not have to be made to look so stupid. Cas is an angel of the Lord, I don't think he is as powerful as he once was but he is still powerful. I really think there are better uses of his time rather than being the snack getter and babysitter.

Hi Anti, It's funny you put this here, I was home yesterday and was watching the end of S6, and in the episode where Cas is shown to be working with Crowley (TMWWBK) at the end of the episode where Cas is begging God for an answer or a sign to know that he Is on the right path and doesn't get an answer. Well, with God in the end of last season, wouldn't it have been nice to see Cas ask God why he never answered him? It would have been nice to see Sam talk to God to, but instead of the "counseling session" we got, I would have liked to see other things. Ask God why he never answered Cas See God and Sam have a talk Ask God why he couldn't or didn't bring back some people/angels/ Bobby? So many unanswered questions, I hope that Dabb can plot a season , unlike past show runners, though from what I have read, Carver kind of bowed out about 5 or so episodes from the end and that is why the last episodes were all over the place.

Hi Good points, November. Castiel's sincere prayer to God deserved a sign whether or not he was on the right track and I would have loved to see God talk to Cas. Sam prayed to God a lot more than Dean did, and it is sad that he never received a response either. I never expected us to see God and I was so shocked and thrilled that God put in an appearance, I did not think about what was missing. They seemed to rush through the God epic. If they had deleted the Rowena scenes, they could have shown more of God. When I look at fan vids, it is obvious that Castiel added a lot to the Supernatural story and he deserves to remain a member of the SPN family.

So Let's talk about Cas and what his "death" will mean for him and for the boys.
Cas has died and came back before, I think this will make 5 times now, and we have heard spoilers that he will be different this time when he comes back but we don't know how.
Since we have heard he will be dead longer this time I wonder if this means we will get to see what happens to angels when they die, we have never seen that on SPN. I have been curious about what happens to angels, we know what happens to humans, and to monsters, but what about angels?
I know that the guys will be devastated by the loss of Cas but what will this really mean to them, he has been called their brother, will they react like that or will Dean do his typical bottle everything up routine and us not see it. I for one, would like to see how both react, I think it would be beneficial to us as viewers to see how this affects the guys, because so much death has happened around them, their friends and even themselves, I would like to see have a different effect on them and for us to see what Cas really means to them.
I do think after the SPN S12 finale that TPTB were maybe caught off guard by the reaction of the bloodbath that happened and how unhappy the fans were.

SPN needs to bring Cas back. Misha has too much time on his hands because he is burning my Twitter feed up. I do enjoy his tweets but sometimes I have to turn notifications off. He is such a clown and currently he issued a challenge to anyone who can name a food that is not better with raisins. He must have gotten a thousand responses in 10 minutes.
He also posted an adorable picture of his daughter and him after they baked his wife a birthday cake that included a layer of kale and a layer of beets. His daughter had the same mischievous expression as Misha.
