A nice weekend and highs back in the 80s. Some 90s are possible this week. But no rain in the forecast.

95 Wednesday and 94 yesterday. Severe weather off to the west but no rain here. It is supposed to get cooler.
Edit: the rain was supposed to happen last night but it's here now.

I thought a cold front was supposed to come through but I was miserable yesterday. It turned out the humidity continued and it did get up to 92. Today things are better.
Wednesday it was supposed to rain and it did occasionally.
Hot weather returns next week but I just hope it doesn't rain while I'm in the mountains.

They kept telling us how dangerously hot it would be but the forecast highs were nothing unusual.
However, after it was supposed to be cooler over the weekend, the official high was 89 Saturday and 94 yesterday. I knew it wasn't cooler yesterday. My church hadn't either gone back inside or moved the service time to earlier.

They got it wrong yesterday. The official high was 90 after an overcast morning. It looked like rain and in fact, it did rain.
Today, it seems to be back to what they expected. I will be in the mountains tomorrow, at least late in the day, and it gets cooler even here over the weekend. However, the heat comes back next week.

Highs were in the upper 90s the last two or three days last week. Where I live there was a terrible storm according to my aunt. The Vent Thread shows what i thought happened. I had some limbs down.
But where I was it looked like rain and it was not hot when I got there. And while it was sort of hot the second morning clouds moved in and there was light rain where I was.
I did hear a severe thunderstorm warning on the radio and it was about to arrive where I was. I got off the interstate at a truck stop and waited for what was an ordinary storm to end. Then I had trouble figuring out how to get back on the interstate because of construction. I ended up going miles out of my way but could have ended up taking a quieter road to get to where I was going.
Much better weather on the weekend, and cool. I haven't heard what it was where I was. 84 officially yesterday and 86 today, but that changes!

93 Tuesday but that was after a low in the 50s. Even with a record high of 101 Wednesday the low was 62. Not quite as bad yesterday thought the low was in the 70s. No rain here, but that wasn't the case in some areas. Cooler this weekend.

A heavy line of thunderstorms started just after it passed through here. A map showing where rain fell showed I didn't have any, but I did hear wind. And thunder.
Shortly after that I saw Roy. All of this was online.

80s most of the week and 91 yesterday. No rain here yet though I thought I heard it raining. It has looked like rain a lot of the time.

94 Saturday and 97 Sunday. Some areas had rain and there was severe weather in the Charlotte area. I could hear a lot of thunder because there were storms nearby but not much here. No, it wasn't Colin.

99 officially yesterday and close to that all week. Some areas got lots of rain. Where I live we've been bypassed in almost every case, though there has been lots of thunder.
Cold front tomorrow may make things better.

Officially, 95 on Saturday and some rain in the afternoon. I got though dumping trash just in time. Unfortunately, my recycling was picked up Friday and I forgot to get it before there was rain that day, and I had to dump the water out because the equipment doesn't put it back so that the top closes. Usually.
Yesterday, the official high was 77 but that was early in the day and the temperature continued to fall. Also, my church goes back to indoor services next week but they should have done it yesterday. It was drizzling when the ushers collected the offering but if the service had been any longer ...
Even with an umbrella, I should have changed my clothes. Because I did anyway.

It has been in the low 90s most days officially, but Monday and Wednesday there has been rain in the afternoon. So I didn't really notice. Tuesday we got a break both on temperature and rain.

The woman on the radio said isolated showers after 4 Saturday. It rained around 3. Didn't seem isolated to me. But it didn't last all that long.
Low 90s both days over the weekend and it looks like that is continuing.

It seems like it has been 91 every day. We were warned about excessive heat Thursday but it looked like it was about to rain all day. Ironically, after we were told Thursday would be the day it rained, it didn't. Wednesday was the day it rained, after I heard one forecast saying it wouldn't. Thunderstorms, as usual, were worse near me than they were where I live. This was mostly around the time of the 6:00 newscast.

91 earlier, 95 and 97 Wednesday and Thursday.
One station should areas experiencing drought. I find it hard to believe the area north of me is in a drought because many times there have been heavy thunderstorms there that didn't make it this far south. I am not surprised to see my area is having a drought.

94 Friday, and no, it didn't get cooler over the weekend. It did get cooler whenever it rained, and there was another one of those storms to the north which gave my area some rain. That happened a couple of times late in the day.

Low 90s most days but I think it got up to 94 officially. Last night there was a graveside service that I didn't go to but there was rain just to the north and just to the south. It rained here eventually.

Three straight weeks of at least 90, with one exception.
A few isolated showers late on Saturday? It looked like it was about to rain all day long and even before noon I felt raindrops. It rained late in the day but some areas got a lot more.
Nothing so far today.

Yesterday was supposed to be the day it rained. It looked like it would rain any minute most of the day and there was even drizzle. Wednesday was the big day, however, with thunderstorms that made a mess where I live. It did rain some during the night and i think it was raining in the morning before the sun came out. I got ahead of the rain going home Tuesday ... well, almost. I got rained on even though the sun was out, but the worst of it was to the south.
A nice weekend and cool by comparison to how it has been.

It was 87 here Saturday and then 85 with lows both nights of 62. Then it rained most of the night last night but it is nice today.

72 Tuesday. The sun never came out and it was drizzling as I drove into town. See the Food Thread to find out why I should have stayed home that day.
Warmer Wednesday and yesterday although it always looked like it was about to rain, except yesterday morning when it was really nice. I don't think it did. Today was supposed to be the big day for rain but I think has only looked like it is about to all day.

Saturday was nice and it got up to 88. During the night there was lightning and it was wet the next morning.
My cool air hasn't been blowing much. It's actually hotter in the house as a result.
The forecast was for "rain" Sunday but it only looked like it was about to and the sun even came out. Some rain came later and it didn't get as hot.
The same pattern continues.

I don't think it has rained around here but it sure has looked like it was about to a lot. 81 yesterday after a high of 71. Hotter on some days. I thought it was supposed to rain more today, but so far it has been nice.
