I had a productive day today. I cleaned up my room and cleaned out my closet. I even put a few things in a giveaway pile for Goodwill. 👍 I always feel good after I tackle cleaning out the closet. I am attempting to finish cleaning out my closet today, I didn't really finish yesterday. But yes, I felt good after tackling at least part of it.

Went to the Galaxy con panel today for the Smallville cast, what a let down. It wasn't that great at all, way too many questions in the chat with some spamming the chat almost demanding that questions get answered. If I had paid to attend, I would have been asking for a refund because that was not worth it.

One thing I noticed that I did and everyone else did, without thinking, was to stand closer than six feet when we talked to the rep at the cash register. I think I'm used to not doing that, but there is usually a barrier in most stores. I have a webcam now in case I want to use it for Zoom or Skype. My 90-year-old aunt has talked to her sister using Skype so I'm hoping to find out how to do the same. I haven't seen her in seven years since she moved to Texas where her daughter is. But in the process of getting the webcam, I talked to a person in the store who got too close. I backed away and she followed me. Oh, well, we were both wearing masks. I think when I am around people more, I will remember to stay six-feet apart (without being encased in a donut ). My niece (through marriage) is continuing with her plan to host a birthday party for her seven year old. I thought she was just inviting the immediate family who meet for holidays. Last night, I saw a message on the e-vite that said parents could leave their kids and pick them up later if they wanted. I changed my response from "maybe" to "no, will not attend". She is 27 and must think like the young people who are attending parties. A previous computer had Skype and I signed up with a password. Then later, they sent a promo which would require a fee. I never used it. However, I have been using Zoom frequently during the quarantine for group functions and doctor visits. Individuals do not have to pay for Zoom, but I think businesses do. Therefore, I wonder why doctors don't use Facetime instead of Zoom.

I haven't been to church in quite some time but I may finally have a ride tomorrow morning.
Last night was a fun livestream that I attended with some online friends and we actually discussed a lot of 90's music.
Lately I've been attending panels as the only female but that doesn't bother me one bit.

AVP, I am glad you are having fun.
If not for Gish, I would not be participating in anything. My team is very friendly and they are excellent at completing tasks because they have been doing this every year. Today, a task was for each member of the team to take a selfie with a sunset. I drove a short distance to our Police Cadet Training Facility and was able to capture the sunset.

Last night was a fun livestream that I attended with some online friends and we actually discussed a lot of 90's music. Lately I've been attending panels as the only female but that doesn't bother me one bit. I did not go to church this morning as I had planned. It's still too hot and still too hard to get up that early but I won't take the time to get ready when I do. And there wasn't a video for those of us who didn't attend this morning. However, AVP, I sent you a video. It was the second in the series of videos made in those first days when we couldn't attend church. I didn't post a link here because there's too much information that I don't want to make public. I could ask someone who I go to church with but I think I have a better chance of getting answers from you. How would they put together those separate videos and make them one video? The first section with the poor sound quality was made from one place. I forget when it is but my aunt's pastor sings from her church. Then a woman sings from what I assume is her house (and she goes to my church and occasionally sings those songs, but we normally have traditional music with organ or piano). The fourth video is from a fourth location. I guess there's someone who puts all those videos together into one and puts it on YouTube. In the third video (which has the word "Squirrel" for reasons I don't understand), the young woman with long hair is my pastor (or was at that time, but we have a new pastor now) and the older woman with short hair lives across the street from me and is also a pastor. I'll just make this one post and then not come back until tomorrow. I had to edit the above post because I forgot about my aunt's pastor.

At 10 a.m., there was a gas explosion a mile from me. It leveled 3 homes and blew out windows and doors of other homes and businesses. It is one block from the location of my primary care doctor's practice, my local Giant and Applebee's. One person was confirmed dead and they are still searching for people. People in the area have to remain outside and the temperature is in the upper 90s. I feel very sorry for the families.

I'm glad you're okay Anti. I was concerned when I heard about it wondering if you were okay.
Kyle, there's video software to cut and splice videos so it looks like its uniform.

I appreciate your concern and I am okay.
My grandson stopped by a few minutes ago. It is the first time I have seen him face-to-face since COVID was acknowledged. He gave me a Baltimore Raven's face mask. I like it and will wear it when I go out. It is one of the washable masks with an insertable filter.

Oh that's very nice.
A lady from food distribution actually came by and brought me a box of fresh fruits and vegetables. I gave in turn gave her a frozen turkey I had plus a few other meats that I can't possibly eat on my own.

I think I'll have to ask someone who participated in the making of the videos. I suppose whatever type of camera was used for each one, the video is stored somewhere and then sent to someone in charge of putting it all on YouTube. I doubt my neighbor knows exactly what was done because she's older and when I needed a camera to take a photo of my Christmas tree, she didn't know how.

I know of no ill effects from the earthquake or Isaias here.

I went to church yesterday. We were all in the parking lot. It was cool enough but going so early meant I didn't do a thing to get ready.

I'm still not back at church yet, transportation issues continue. I have a social media team meeting on zoom in two weeks.
Hopefully I'll be able to share some of my concerns about our YouTube channel and share some ideas to revamp the channel art.

I printed an application for mail-in voting. I have heard that registered voters will automatically be sent applications, but there are discussions both pro and con for doing that. Plus, Baltimore City is continuing to be inept at most things.

I'm still not sure completely about Prince George's county. I'm monitoring it closely in case I have to make some adjustments for future plans.

Could republicans actually do any better?

It was supposed to rain, and what we were going to do was load boxes. Since not everyone can lift boxes, I assume we would put boxes in some people's cars. I can't do heavy lifting these days. I also can't stand for long, although that didn't stop me in the past. Walking around solves that problem. But loading people's boxes as they passed was how we usually did it.

Most food distributions around here seem to be drive-thru kinds but I have been getting boxes of fresh fruits and vegetables from two different people.
It's been very helpful too!

Breaking news: We can now text 9-1-1 to report issues locally. No update yet on how well that is working.
Once again, trash collection was not done in areas already suffering from dirty streets. Sanitation Dept. is blaming it on employee absences.

AVP, I've got a project for you. You seem to know how to do this.
On another site, I want to post a link to a 6-hour recording of music, but it's pretty hard to illustrate what styles of music are represented, both for those who might like it and those who would hate it. I don't know how this would be done, but what I was thinking was someone could stop in several different locations in the recording and then take a sample of whatever song is playing, and then put together the samples into a summary of what this recording has to offer.

That's indeed an interesting project.
I'm highly interested, can I start on it maybe next week sometime? You can e-mail me more details about it too.
