It had some slow periods, each of our scanner units did at least 100 people each. It was definitely an unique experience. We had a few lines here and there but nothing overly crowded. I was fortunate enough to get a ride back home and was home by 9:20 P.M. There was over 20 of us working throughout the day including those who wiped certain equipment after every voter on the ballot scanning machines at the tables. I didn't have to wait at all. There were more people outside waving giant Trump flags than there were voting inside. Now I know why you don't tell us who you support. You're not supposed to! |

They have to say or do something to reveal who they are voting for. I would never have guessed correctly about those 40,000 people who voted for KW. 🤣 |

I texted my beloved grandson who is stationed in Hawaii to FaceTime me for 2 minutes. He immediately FaceTimed me and we had a delightful conversation for more than an hour. I guess I contacted him at the right time.

That's wonderful! My mom and I had a nice day at home together, I fixed the meal today and later we watched the Masked Singer together. For the last hour or so we've been watching YouTube videos on various music from different decades to see how many we can recognize.
I'm actually surprised how many I do know from the decades I was not born in plus hearing ones from the decades I grew up hearing.
We were really surprised by certain songs that were covers and how we like certain covers better than the original version.

I am glad you enjoyed the holiday with your mom. I am also surprised by how often I enjoy the cover version of music more than the original and that I did not realize they were covers. I like the term "cover" better than criticizing artists for singing songs originally sung by others.

It is February so I have been in isolation for almost a year. I would have been vaccinated by now if my city/state did not double book appointments. I feel sorry for the people who compulsively try all day to book appointments and then get turned away. I will continue to wait because I would be furious if that happened to me.
People have been sending me links to podcasts and TV shows that they know I would enjoy. That keeps me entertained. None of the shows were on my radar so I am glad people think about me when they see something interesting.

I received the vaccine today and I do not need a second shot. I am happy the process went smoothly even though the line was one hour long.

It is still very quiet on my street. But at the main intersection and the next main road, there are people shooting at each other everyday. I am not exaggerating - everyday! Fifteen minutes ago, a child was grazed by a bullet. You do not have to be involved and still get hurt. I could get shot while driving through the intersection. It's ridiculous.

I'm also waiting. I have no desire to try to make an appointment only to find out I'm on some long waiting list or worse yet, that I can't get to the phone number or site in the first place.
My church is making a move back to normal, sort of. We're not moving anyone inside just yet, but instead of our cars, we can sit in lawn chairs. I don't have one because they were all in too bad a shape.

Only a couple of people at my church sat outside their cars in chairs. But one big development was touring the parsonage. That's what we call the house the church owns where the pastor and his family live. Big improvements have been made. I didn't go on the tour.

Our weather has also been nice. I have not needed heat or cooling in over a week. The utility bill will be low.
I used part of my stimulus money to purchase a Tovala countertop convection oven. I had been wanting one ever since they were advertised, but I did not know anyone personally I could ask for a review. It is perfect for one or two people. The food is uncooked but is seasoned. I pop the food in the oven and scan the barcode. Everything has been delicious and there is no clean up. I have never had to wipe the inside of the over. I am so happy with it.
I have not ventured anywhere but I am thinking it might be safe to go to the movies.

Hi Anti! Have you ever watched Lucifer? I have been watching it, and i really like it, it's kind of like a cross between SPN and angel.
I got my 2 vaccine shots, I wasn't old enough at the time, but because of my medical issues. i was able to get it, right before they opened it up to everyone.

It's like the music with Christmas decorations. You still have to be there to hear it. Or at least in the neighborhood. I found a new photo of my former pastor on Facebook. The first time I ever saw her she looked like Bernadette on "Big Bang Theory" because she had a similar hair style and wore similar glasses. Now she looks like someone else. If that someone else wants to tell you without giving away my identity, she can. |

I finally got my first vaccine today with very little after effects just some itching around my left arm where I got my shot at.
My second one is on the 27th around the same time frame as today's.
