It's a ship - like any other. I'm starting to wonder if the majority of haters, like Mags here, seem to think it's the gay part of it that is so offensive.

You know, I've been reminded on several occasions lately of my ol' days in the Mag 7 fandom. I was a full time slasher then, (I'm mostly gen in this fandom, that's right I said MOSTLY) and while we might have a few dust-ups from time to time (mostly from smug sanctimonious types who want to ruin other people's fun) we ALL had a BLAST, no matter what your pairing was!
Remember, there's just 3 guys here- my old fandom had 7, and they would be paired every which way and no one gave a crap! "You like your thing, I like my thing, let's all share and have fun!" Heck, there wasn't a pair that I wouldn't read in that fandom- that's how fun it was. And oh, how we would LAUGH when someone said we were disrespecting the actors- because pairing and fandom stuff has nothing to do with the actors, and yes I include RPS in that, despite how contradictory that may sound.

I'm thinking that I may make a new thread too- just for slashers. Because I'm starting to believe that slashers know how to have fun better than some others. It would be a safe place for ANY pairing, no matter what it was, and no one could bitch about how one pairing would make another more or less than, because that's just illogical.

I didn't click any of the links posted, but Tessah made a thread about Destiel fans using Bots. And I guess that bit of news reached the poll takers and they disqualified the votes.

Me, anytime I stumble to tumbler I look up and 6 hours have gone by and I don't know where they went.

I never really got too into tumblr. There were a couple of things I liked, like the anonymous SPN confessions and a friend of mine has a great one where she makes really gorgeous graphics with pics of Jared/Sam. Other than that, I don't really spend a whole lot of time on that site.

It stands for Follow Fridays and your friends post your name along with the #FF hashtag and it's a good way to make new friends and get new followers. #blabla is just that; a hashtag. If you click on it, it'll take you to another page on twitter where people are using the same hashtag and you can read other people's tweets.

I would have been happy to let this ill gotten thread die, but you insist on stubbing your toe here LC. My post had nothing to do with gays or any other real group or culture. My post had to do with a former poster being lambasted wrongly. And a sweet person like Kim Rhodes being caught in the middle by a misleading post by a Destiel who lead her to believe she was retweeting a regular poll for SPN.

Far be it from me to expect you to put the blame anywhere else but on a former poster here. I could wish for professional moderating, but that seems lacking. Not sure how I feel about posting somewhere that treats its posters (customers) so rudely.

I do have one, but I'm hardly one to teach- I know nearly nothing. I just figured I'd wade into the shallow end, like I did with twitter, and I'd eventually figure it out.

Yes, I'm jensenrick there, just like twitter and LJ and everywhere else. Boring I know, when all the tumblers seem to have "cool" names like Bangingpatchouli, or jaredsflawlesshair, or whatevs, but then I don't have to remember too many logins.

Anyhoo, this is what I do with tumbler. I sign in, I breeze around tumbler, when I see something I really, really like or agree with- I hit the "reblog" key. Then it's on my tumbler as well. That's it- that's the sum total of my learnings on this subject.
