Yeah I'm having the same problem! They're there though. The same twitter poster from above sent one to Misha that said something about the shameless need to self promote or something. There was one I saw to Jim about how real SPN fans do NOT want to see the writers and producers making it about gay love because it offends Jensen or something along those lines. IDK it is ridiculous.

Wow. That is incredibly offensive. As someone pointed out, it just makes the poster look crazy. I'm sorry an actor had to deal with it, though.

Luckily I think most of these actors grow a very tough hide through the nature of their profession.

i think anyone would be naive to think that jensen and jared are unaware of the multitude of slash pairings. if either of them were genuinely offended, i'm sure they would have said something by now. i think they both know its just a part of the fandom that isn't going to ever go away, and they accept and tolerate it. i do think there are some lines shippers should not cross tho. i don't think slash questions should be directed at any of the actors, as it is a part of FANFICTION and NOT the show itself. i also don't think anti-slash fans should be giving the shippers any grief. any disagreements between the pro and anti slashers should be kept to the fandom, and not be directed at any of the actors. thats just my opinion tho

My issue with it is harassing the fuck out of the cast/crew members about it. Everybody is aware that there are shippers out there be it of hetero or slash pairings, etc... It's all a part of being in a fandom, but that does not make it okay to harass the cast members like Kim, Misha or Jim as I've seen being done... and J2 aren't stupid. I highly doubt it bothers them as much as people claiming that Jared and Jensen are secretly lovers and refer to Genevieve and Danneel as "beard wives" etc...

Now that is disrespect. Not voting for Destiel or voting for Destiel? Who the fuck cares? It's a damn TV show and people are gonna ship who they're gonna ship. Regardless, people shouldn't be tweeting and bothering any of the cast or crew. They're not disrespecting anybody, and it should be left alone. It's just a stupid online poll. It's not a part of the real show by any means, and it's not like it's some huge award thing like the PCAs or TCAs.

It is an online poll. So why do we all know about it? Because some parts of the fandom keep tweeting it to everyone and everthing.

There is no such thing as Destiel, its not canon. The poll is essentially canon. Get a grip, you are actually dealing with real people, posting screen caps of their twitter. Maybe we should do that same to yours.

I hate to tell ya, but if you can see them, those posts on Twitter are not private. Once you post 'em they're there for the whole world to see and do with as they will. So all the better to be circumspect about what you say in public if you don't want it to follow you.

Hint: anything you do in public IS public. Whether you like it or not. You lose your rights to privacy when you're interacting in a public, not private, forum.

for me, this whole debacle over one poll should be a non-issue. i'm not a shipper, but i know that there is a part of the fandom (and this applies to EVERY fandom out there) that does 'ship'. there are those who have a problem with same sex anything (be it love, sex, marriage,etc). everyone is entitled to their own thoughts and beliefs. however, there are lines that should not be crossed, more out of respect, than anything else. people should not be harrassing others to vote for something they may not want to vote for. there should be no harassing others over your own personal beliefs (and this includes 'shipping'). there should be no asking the actors about fanfiction shipping, as they have nothing to do with 'shipping. it is not canon for their show, therefore, should be left to the fanfiction realm. there should be no getting on the actors for responding to someone else's post about shipping (be they for or against it). there should be no going off on someone because you may not agree with same sex relations. my god people, IT'S JUST A SILLY FREAKING POLL, GET THE HELL OVER IT (WHATEVER YOUR STANCE ON IT IS). if you don't like it, here's a novel idea, IGNORE IT. you guys are getting bent out of shape over absolutely nothing. polls are meant to be in fun, and not everyone has to like them. it's not hurting anyone. people need to stop harassing others to vote, and others just need to ignore those who are over enthusiastically promoting voting.
