I saw the sign. They are having homecoming at my aunt's church.
If you aren't religious, that usually means a guest speaker, probably a former pastor, and most importantly LUNCH. I get to actually see my aunt for the first time since just after Christmas. It just seemed there was never a good time to visit. If the grandkids can't come for lunch at her house on Sunday, they don't want me to come.
And I had hot dogs at Dairy Queen yesterday, which I do once a year. Plus the blue drink they used to call Mr. Misty. It also comes in a green version which I'll get in a couple of weeks where they do still call it that but they don't have food other than desserts.

I ate too much yesterday.
At least I didn't eat too much dessert. Though I did feel lousy this morning.
Someone said there were 229 people at church. I don't think they could have fit another person in. It's not a large building. Part of the reason was this was the church's 100th anniversary. And they're still using that building, with some modifications. Such as adding brick. They really need a second service.

I don't know whether I left my milk out too long before putting in the refrigerator. I didn't do anything differently than usual. But because they were selling it at a really low price, for a while I'd buy as much as I could fit in my refrigerator. That's a good strategy in the winter, but I can be slow to get groceries out of the car and even slower to put them up. Anyway, the milk had been in the refrigerator for a week. It tasted a little off, but I drank it. It got worse and worse, but no ill effects so I continued to drink. Then I opened the next jug, which I bought at the same time. I dumped it and called the company. Eve though I said I might have been slow to put it away, they thought it should have lasted better. I opened the next jug and it was fine. I was worried maybe my refrigerator needed replacing. But it's probably fine.

Had a baked potato with ranch dressing on it. YUM.

I just had a turkey burger with bacon and cheese on it. Nice to know that you fought all those 'good for you' turkey calories with the awesomeness of bacon and cheese.

I don't smoke dope. It makes me paranoid. I ate all that because I was hungry and bored.

I ate too much yesterday.
It was my church's turn to have Homecoming, and we had a former pastor do the sermon.
I especially ate too much dessert.
No side effects so far, but I discovered mold on my bread and took most of the moldy parts off. I came up with the idea of using some of the bread instead of hamburger buns, which were hard to get to anyway. This means I finish the bread tonight, but I'm going to let the company know. I don't know if I did anything wrong to cause this to happen, but the people who made my milk are sending me a gift card to make up for the milk I had to throw out. Even though I might have left it out too long. And I may have done that this past Saturday, but I hope not.

It was nice and quiet in Arby's. So many businesses have music, or what passes for music these days.
This should have gone on the Vent Thread. I can never get my Horsey Sauce to come out even. Half the sandwich is too spicy and half has no taste.
I did make sure to get lettuce and tomato. But for a regular sandwich, $3.99 seems like a lot.

Last week it was my bread. This week it's my hamburger buns. I have to go ahead and eat supper on hamburger buns until I run out, because they're already getting moldy.

I found an old package of applesauce sweetened cookies. I thought I had eaten them all.
They're not nearly as good stale.

It's amazing how good food tastes if you're REALLY hungry.
Meanwhile, I substituted bread on Monday instead of using hamburger buns. I would have though the consequences of not eating high-fiber bread for several days and then eating a lot of it would be more serious, but no.

Homecoming yesterday.
This particular church doesn't come anywhere close to filling up, which is a shame. The speaker talked about how to deal with that problem. Still good food.

I finally cooked something that turned out to be delicious instead of just filling. Angus beef steak that was very tender(no steak sauce), topped with a mixture of stir-fried red peppers, green peppers and Vidalia onion. For the side, I sauteed apples with cinnamon and butter. No starches. Everything was delicious and I feel satisfied.

For the third day in a row, I made fried potatoes and onions...with curry powder. Plus, three scrambled eggs and sausage.

No tomato for my turkey burger yesterday at the hospital. I guess I saw what leaf colors I'm going to see.
Same for the turkey burger at Hardee's.

I assume Hardee's just didn't have tomatos because they're expensive right now. That's what happened at the hospital. If you read the vent thread that might have been a good thing.
Arby's had them, and as far as I know I wasn't afffected. Horsey Sauce didn't do any harm either.
The fall colors I saw yesterday were pretty. I walked in the opposite direction from the hospital, though. Two weeks from now I'm going toward the hospital again.

Over the weekend, only milk irritated that sore in my mouth. I bought something at the grocery and it might have helped.

Grilled fish is healthier than fish sticks but more expensive. I finally gave in and bought tilapia. Turns out it's really good.

I had Thanksgiving dinner yesterday with my aunt.
I forgot to mention Hardee's did put a tomato on my turkey burger. But the trees have lost most of their leaves.
I'm going to the hospital tomorrow. The same will probably be true around there but I hope for tomato on my turkey burger. Most of all I hope it's not raining.

The cafe at the hospital had tomatos for my turkey burger. it was good.
Some pretty leaves were still on trees. In a lot of locations that have pretty leaves, though, I was too late to see most of them still on trees.

I don't know what was different but it was unusually good.

Is mayonnaise supposed to be yellow?
I can't remember. This is a new brand. Its date was 2008 or 2009. I don't know how it got overlooked for so long.
But it was behind something and I didn't even know it was there.

It is not safe to eat that mayonnaise. It's too old and should be white. I want you around for the new year, Kyle.

Did I forget to mention I threw it out? I was thinking I bought a type of mayonnaise that was yellow to begin with. But of course that date was too long ago.

Kyle, thanks for letting me know. I was at my daughter's house and read your post about mayo aloud, and everyone yelled "throw it out!".

I drank apple juice that old with no apparent problem. It tasted fine.
