And....I hope Sam isn't the one to kill Benny. That would really upset the tense bond the boys are still building now. If Sam kills Benny, it would upset the tense bond, plus it would seem vindictive because of the comment Sam made that maybe he would be the hunter to kill Benny. I cringed when Sam made that comment because it could backfire on him. He would have a tough time convincing anyone that he did not want to do it. Something always happens to create drama between Dean and Sam.

Not to upset all those rabid Sam girls out there, but I've noticed over the 7+ seasons that Sam is ALWAYS the one to say mean and nasty things to Dean, either out of spite or to get back at some perceived slight. Dean is always making excuses for Sam and his behavior, but Sam doesn't seem to cut Dean the same slack. Sam's kind of a douche like that.

I not a Mike Farrell fan. Let me guess: 1. Didn't like Hunnicut on M.A.S.H. 2. Don't like his politics And ... I'm going with #2.
Looks like this episode will appeal to fans who like gory scenes.

You know, I'm starting to think that the writers are overdoing the Dean/hamburger thing. We KNOW Dean loves hamburgers, cheeseburgers with bacon, especially. But I have to think that he occasionally likes a good steak and baked potato or a pizza....maybe even some spaghetti. Plus, Dean goes into a place that serves pie and he comes out with a burger and sodas? I love pizza, but if I ate one at every meal, I would probably hate them by now.

SoCal, I must agree that they overdo the hamburger diet. Even Levi!Dean said he eats a burger every day. I am glad that he no longer has to literally eat the burgers. Poor guy.

Until you mentioned it, Anti, I had completely forgotten about Levi!Dean saying that to Levi!Sam. Like you said, at least he doesn't always have to eat them. Poor Jenson would weigh about 290lbs.

Spoilery, sort of.....
We’ve met a handful of Sam and Dean’s family, and now we can add one more to the list. Keep reading for the latest casting spoilers.
Gil McKinney (perhaps best known as the TA Julie Taylor dated in the final season of Friday Night Lights) has been cast as Henry Winchester, aka John Winchester’s dad.
He will pop up in the 12th episode of the season, “As Time Goes By.”
How, you may ask, can someone who’s younger than Jensen Ackles play Sam and Dean’s other grandpa? It involves time travel as Henry will be zapped into the present.
The show has revealed quite a bit about the maternal side of the Winchester family tree, but this is the first real glimpse at John’s family. From what we do know, John wasn’t aware of the whole Hunter lifestyle when he met Mary, so t should be interesting to see how Henry reacts to all of this.
The episode will air in late January.

I noticed in the two promos that Dean has a mark on the right side of his forehead.
What is it? A boo-boo? Did Sam hit him? Did Dean clunk his head on something?

I see the boo-boo on Dean's perfect face. If it is not explained in the episode, someone must volunteer to read scandal mags to get the scoop. Not me though!

Obviously, Naomi must die a painful and horrible death!
But, on a different note, the last time we saw the Alpha Vamp, he told Dean "See you next season." Have you heard anything about him making an appearance?
I know Charlie is coming back.

Oh, you smartypants! I had completely forgotten that! He HAS to come back now. I wonder if somehow Benny will get tangled up with him?

That would be great. Wait a minute; wouldn't the Alpha be pissed off at Benny for killing other vampires? Then Dean would have to help Benny. Would Sam help them in order to protect his brother? Would Castiel piss SoCal off by getting in the middle of it? Please bring back the Alpha Vamp.

For crying out loud, it's about time we got even a little bit of info on upcoming episodes. Supernatural - Episode 8.10 - Torn and Frayed CASTIEL MUST SAVE A FELLOW ANGEL — Naomi (guest star Amanda Tapping) tells Castiel (Misha Collins) that Crowley (guest star Mark Sheppard) is holding an angel captive and Castiel must rescue him before Crowley finds out their secrets. Castiel turns to Dean (Jensen Ackles) for help. Meanwhile, Sam (Jared Padalecki) meets with Amelia (guest star Liane Balaban) who asks him to make a choice: stay with her or leave and never contact her again. Robert Singer directed the episode written by Jenny Klein.

Here's another teeny-tiny snippet:
Thanks to Andreas for the heads up.
Episode 8.17 of Supernatural will be called "Goodbye Stranger"

Thanks SoCal. I hope this means Samandriel will be rescued. Why did Crowley have to pick on one of the nice angels anyway?
In the last episode, when Sam looked through the window, Amelia looked happy with her husband. But apparently she will kick hubby to the curb for Sam. I am not judging Amelia because what she told Sam about hubby made quite an impact on me - "Then one day, Don just enlists. Didn't ask me, just said something about wanting to do the right thing." It had to hurt that he did not discuss that decision with her.
I watched 8.1 again (because of LMB's observation) and I now think the person who was standing outside the house when Sam left Amelia was the husband. Of course, we did not know he had returned when we first saw the episode.

I hope Amelia's not too mad at or mean to Sam in this episode. Hopefully Sam can explain to her that Dean tricked him into thinking she was in trouble and that's why he tried calling her and eventually made it to her house. Otherwise he probably never would have contacted her.
I get her ultimatium, considering Sam was the one that left and said she should stay with Don. It doesn't help anybody if flip-flopping occurs.

FINALLY....a little bit of info:
SUPERNATURAL
PREVIOUSLY ON... | Dean told his brother that Benny had killed Martin after being driven to the edge by a mentally unstable hunter while Sam ran into ex-love Amelia.
COMING UP NEXT | As if the trust issues between the Winchesters, the return of Cas' mysterious heavenly arc and Amelia's presence weren't enough, Dean and Sam will also deal with daddy complications when their paternal grandpa, Henry, time-travels to the present in a family mythology episode. “When you meet your father's father, that brings up some of your father issues. In other words, what did your father's father have to do with the way your father turned out?” previews executive producer Jeremy Carver. "A lot of that is explored head-on.” But it's not all doom and gloom. Felicia Day's Charlie Bradbury returns in what is sure to be a geektastic hour about live-action role playing.
RETURN DATE | Wednesday, Jan. 16 at 9/8c (The CW)

Two more weeks. It does not seem that they will pick up where they left off with Sam and Amelia. It would be hysterical if they continue that scene in flashbacks. I like Charlie so her return might be fun, but I cannot imagine what meeting grandpa will be like for Dean and Sam. I always thought John was okay until the tragedy struck his family, and I hope the boys do not grow to hate their grandfather.

I always thought John was okay until the tragedy struck his family, and I hope the boys do not grow to hate their grandfather. 1. I am completely sick of the flashbacks of Amelia and Sam. 2. I LOVED John Winchester and hated how the writers turned him from his boys hero to a "deadbeat dad."

I loved John Winchester too. The deadbeat dead arc never set well with me. For awhile, they made it seem like Dean should hate John and that Sam already did. John needed to teach them how to survive, so I do not see him as a bad father. I do sympathize with the boys being left alone for extended periods.
