Lol Speaking of smiles I'd made a note of how everyone is uneasy with flaggs grin I wondered if that's some sixth sense we all have that warns us when things just don't feel right Oh yeah, that's right! I was completely forgetting about his smile. D'oh! Well, that brings us to the end of chapter 61, and unfortunately I've got to work tomorrow, so I've got to sign off for tonight. But at least I can do so with a smile on my face. muahahahahahaha |

I ask about the breaks because I wondered if other bookworms do the same as me When I come to a break I stop and touch the pages and remember the journey the book has taken me on already and think of what's to come for me those blank pages that separate the book feel kind of like a safe haven a place where I can nestle inside the story not in the past or in the future but always right in the middle with adventure behind and before me I hope my explanation didn't sound crazy lol No, it's beautiful. I love it. You're the only person I've ever known to do that, but I think it's a great tradition. Now there's a damn good reason why paper books are better. Try doing that with an eBook. I agree. ![]() Aha I just had that very discussion with someone I see at my job often And of course I mentioned that you can't feel or smell an ebook I know I am weird but I sincerely love the smell of books I'll go you one further. I actually prefer the smell of used books, as they seem to have more character to me--they seem more alive. But I love the smell of new books as well. This statement has always confused me. Is this a figure of speech?  ------------------------------------------- I will continue reading and join you guys next week, hopefully. |

No, it's not a figure of speech. I literally love the smell of used books. Kinky, I know. I can tell the difference--they feel and smell like others have loved them before. And it's an much richer smell than new books have.
Even better than that are used books where people have written notes in the margins about what they were reading. Truth told, I would pay extra for those books.

I've been dealing with migraines for most of the week, and I didn't even think about reading The Stand very much at all. This is one reason why I miss going to the library and having the actual book in my hand, when I have my migraines, it actually hurts to look at the screen on my Kindle (even when I dim the backlight on my Kindle), therefore, I can't read the book. Plus, my mom is just now getting home from work and we're gonna have dinner soon. I feel like I'm sounding like I'm making excuses, but honestly, I look forward to this every week. I'm sorry. And M-O-O-N, that spells get well soon, Moon.   |

Looks as though we all missed this one
I'm very sorry to hear you guys are ill hope you both feel better soon
And Chloe I'm sorry about the migraines I just had one on Friday and it was so bad it lasted til the next day and made me late for work
But I didn't get home til much later than I expected I got home around twelve and we are yet again having Internet issues at home so I will try to post as much as I can when I am at home but other than that I will have to use the wifi at work

Hey Jen, I've transferred to another dept. in my job, and it looks like I'm going to be working late on Saturdays from here on out, so we might need to change our meeting night.
I'll get my new schedule tomorrow, but I know that I won't get off till late tomorrow night, so I'll post my nights off here when I finally get in.

Here's an update for you guys concerning the Internet we have sent off for new equipment so as soon as it gets here I will have access to the site while at home which they said should arrive within five business days so I'm very excited to get us back on track and plus I miss you guys  And moon whatever you find out concerning your schedule just let me know we can change our meeting time to something more convenient |
