Wow.
This makes "Designated Survivor" look like "Veep". Or maybe not. I don't get that channel.
I didn't see how Cyrus could ever be President. He's in too bad a shape.
It was scary seeing that Mellie would be under the control of those people. She would be reporting to her own Chief of Staff. But maybe Olivia has solved that problem.
Olivia was so upset her father was arrested, but Fitz knows what he's doing. He's not in a real prison.
I've been saying the evil woman was Matlock's secretary. But I checked and she's listed as "BNC anchor".

Finally! They found a way to get rid of those people who took control. And now Olivia is in charge!
Eli doesn't like being a prisoner, but the alternative would be worse. They don't seem to want his help, but at least they brought him in when they were making the decisions.
Cyrus would be a good choice for VP. If Jake has already stepped down.

And things just got a whole lot worse. I forgot to come here but commented on another thread.
Drones like the one used at the White House were over numerous cities. They had explosives which could be used if Mellie didn't give up and allow those who were trying to control her to be in charge. She didn't. People died in Dallas. More died in Philadelphia.
At least Eli was on the right side when he appeared to be joining the villains. But as we later saw, he had a strategy.

Mellie will be President any day now, and Olivia is in charge at last.
How did they make that head so realistic? At first I thought it was the actress and they were hiding her body.
Quinn will actually be able to take over. I can't believe that was only a test. But Quinn came through for the man wrongly imprisoned. Even risking the possibility men with guns would come after her when she wouldn't leave the Oval Office. Amazing how shocked she was when she went in there.
And now we know! Even the people who were controlling Eli were themselves being controlled.

Kerry Washington was in "A Thousand Words". I saw that movie over the weekend but didn't recognize her. She was the wife of Eddie Murphy, who was told by a guru that the mysterious tree that appeared in his yard was losing a leaf every time he said a word, or ten leaves if he said ten words. The guru estimated a thousand leaves were left, and once Eddie said or even wrote a thousand words (charades was acceptable) the tree would die and so would he.

Spoilers if you have not seen the season finale.
What a finale.
Is anyone else going to watch? Did anyone else watch? I kind of hate to post spoilers and don't remember how.
It ended with Olivia in charge of B613, which is back. I don't recall a conversation with Fitz where he agreed to let her have it, but Fitz was going to be in charge.
Who would have ever believed it? Olivia's mother was behind the plot. No, she was just working for someone else. When she called Olivia on her cell phone DURING the inauguration and said she was aiming at the person responsible, I halfway though it could be Luna. Turns out it was Luna.
And Olivia told Luna either she commits suicide or Huck kills her. And she won't like what her family will have to deal with if Huck kills her. It won't be good for the country either. But if she just has a heart attack that will be all right.
Cyrus may yet be Vice President. And Abby gets to be in charge ... no, wait, Quinn will still be in charge but Abby will work for Olivia's company.

Marcus was on "Battle of the Network Stars". So was Joshua Malina.
Marcus had a feud with Corbin Bernsen. His team was way ahead in the relay race and he just sat down and acted up, sort of like the hare who got beat by the tortoise. But of course he still won because he wasn't careless like the hare. The old man performed very well in the basketball 3-point competition. Marcus couldn't hit one. And they faced off once again with Corbin not going in the water in the dunk tank. Someone handed Marcus a basketball and I think he still missed.

I saw the first episode. All I can say is wow!
Olivia's still got it. And now she's running the White House.
I didn't think much of her blackmailing the senator, but I guess he deserved it. And it is what she does. I don't think much of the idea of free college, because as with free health care, how do you pay? Regardless, the bill passed. I'm amazed Mellie supported such a thing because she's a Republican. And I thought Olivia was too, but she was strongly supporting a liberal cause.
Poor Quinn had to use the facilities and Olivia wouldn't let her.
So now Quinn is running things for Olivia. And they did succeed in finding the spy. But a spy who is captured and tortured has to die because he'll give up secrets. I was so glad when Olivia found a way to stop that, even though even Mellie went against her. I can't believe it! Olivia is Command!
Fitz is staying out of everything.
Cyrus has a chance to run as a Democrat in the next election, but the way that one Democratic senator was going to help make it happen wasn't right.

One more.
Quinn has to pretend to be someone else in order to network. But it's a good thing she and her team sneaked in because only Huck noticed that soldier hadn't put on his medals right. And only because of him was that president's life saved. Still, he can't negotiate with Mellie or his enemies will get rid of him. Mellie needs this nuclear treaty.
Olivia is still handling herself quite well and she will resort to blackmail. And now we see where B613 headquarters is now.
That man Cyrus couldn't stand seemed familiar for some reason. Still no sign of Fitz.

And finally, an entire episode devoted to Fitz. It starts as he arrives in Vermont. I wonder how he will cope by himself. Then he wakes up and finds he has an entire staff. he tells one of them to fire all the others and arranges for the guy to go back to his old job. Marcus shows up and they spend the next three months planning his library which will be in a beautiful location nearby and raising funds. They see a man protesting a statue of a racist man but don't act on it. Marcus said he would have been that man years earlier.
At one fundraiser Fitz points out that Marcus got the cigars when he was in Cuba. Which reminds me. Early in the episode it was about Marcus, and his date didn't want to be with him because black people in Cuba aren't treated right--unless they're tourists. And this man could afford to stay in aa nice hotel and didn't get to see the real Cuba. One of the rich men in the room made a racist comment which bothered Marcus but Fitz didn't respond. And then Fitz sent Marcus to get some booze. Marcus was tired of being treated like his gopher and told him get it himself. Marcus soon lost his job, but not before the Secret Service had to pull him off Fitz at Fitz's house when they were going at each other.
There was a dispute over how Olivia was going to be represented at the library. Fitz intended to show her as the woman who did so much for his campaign, but it was suggested she should be given more space than Monica Lewinsky in Bill Clinton's library. If Fitz didn't acknowledge their relationship he was treating her like a ho.
Eventually Marcus and Fitz made up and they went to visit the protester. Fitz was waiting until Day 101 of Mellie's administration to do anything. The protester was about to give up but the publicity resulted in the racist statue coming down.
Fitz also visited Olivia.

A couple of things I left out. This episode did not have rap music like the others this season. There was "Fight the Power" and "Jam On It" (sounds like it's for kids). They went back to classic R&B.
And Eli mysteriously showed up, saying if he had wanted to kill Fitz he'd be dead. We don't know how he got past security. But he said Olivia was Command and he wanted something done about that.

I should have skipped last week's episode but it was so good. I'm always a week behind.
Fitz demanded Olivia listen to him and of course she won't.
Now that he's not in office, Fitz wants to help find hundreds of missing black girls who are ignored by the media and the cops. Olivia sent him to Quinn and he had to give in. Quinn's team was successful for one girl. They had to find someone with a white name who had no problems.
Mellie needs a man. I'm not sure I mentioned this but she wanted a vibrator and being the President, she couldn't just go out and get one. The leader of Middle East country who was on last time she was in an episode is a likely candidate, but that man needs a nuclear deal with another nearby country, and the man in charge there won't hear of such a thing. And now there has been a coup and the U.S. can't recognize the new leader.
And Olivia needs to use B613. I wasn't aware such a thing was part of what they did.
Cyrus can't accept a painting as a gift. He could pay for it, but it costs millions. This man seems like he will be Cyrus' next.

I'll miss this next week which will put me two weeks behind.
Fitz went in and talked with Mellie. Mellie found out about B613 and demanded Olivia shut it down. Then she found out she would need it.
Cyrus wouldn't support the war because his new billionaire boyfriend didn't think much of the idea. The man was on his phone during all the meetings to get people to support Mellie on going to war to put the leader of that Middle Eastern country back in power. Turns out he was using software to evaluate the plan.
By episode's end, Mellie was telling Fitz what Olivia told her father: speaking to her was a privilege, one he had lost. And Eli wasn't too happy with what Olivia had done. He yelled at her to give back his bones.
Quinn and Associates had to guard the niece of the leader, who was letting herself be found, so that had to take away her phone. She stole another phone and they found her.
But all was well by episode's end. Except ... I just knew this was going to happen because it usually does in these situations ...

An explosion killed someone and based on her conversation with Jake, Olivia had it done. Quinn confronted her and was furious. She said she had always believed Olivia cared about people, but this proved to her that Olivia cared about Olivia. Quinn was late for her wedding and no one knows where she is. Meanwhile, Cyrus' billionaire boy toy, Big Jim from "Under the Dome", was accused of being behind the explosion and interrogated by Charlie. And you know how Huck interrogates people. Charlie is just about as bad. Charlie was not happy about the wedding being postponed and, naturally, he's very worried about Quinn. Mellie insists that Olivia come back but Olivia won't. Meanwhile, Mellie made a deal that reduces nuclear weapons in the Middle East. At first the other man refused but Mellie came up with a new plan that does not involve negotiation. They accept her plan as is, or not at all.

As it turned out, when I watched the Rose Parade this morning, I never even watched on the TV that is hooked up to an antenna. But I thought I would have to. So I tried to record and kept getting the message there was not enough disk space. I kept deleting but it didn't work. I shouldn't even record "Jeopardy" episodes if the signal isn't that good. But I did have to watch on that station one day last week. Fortunately, it's on cable.
To record, I would have to watch an entire episode and delete it. I watched the finale for this show. Wow.
Eli called Olivia. She showed up at their usual restaurant and she was not happy. Eli told her he had Quinn. He expected his freedom and his bones. Olivia was not going to give in. It looked like she was actually going to let Quinn die. Because the way Eli was talking, that was going to happen.
Fitz can't see his son unsupervised. He gets only a few minutes. But when he wanted Mellie to help with one of his projects, she was happy to.
Quinn's co-workers were looking through records of missing people. Some of the content was truly disturbing. Charlie had to go to a morgue. It wasn't her.
We were left with sort of a cliffhanger. Quinn yelled as Eli (probably) fired a gun. Quinn was quiet. Eli was quiet. Who came out?

Someone got the idea to turn Quinn's ashes into bullets and fire them. Olivia tried to give the eulogy at the funeral but someone else did.

Eli got his bones and put them together.

Well, we finally got the truth about Quinn. An entire episode devoted to Eli and Quinn. First Eli went to a store to buy a suitcase to put her in. He made friends with the salesman. They went to a bar. Eli kept buying stuff from him and claimed to be a truck driver whose daughter was about to give birth. The man delivered babies in Vietnam, so when the time came, he could help Quinn.
Quinn was chained up in a soundproof bunker. From which Olivia could hear a gunshot. In which she could hear every word spoken upstairs through a vent. Now why did Quinn not "MacGyver" a solution? I didn't even think of that. But she was going crazy. Eli came in periodically and she asked for food and clothes. He provided both, eventually.
Quinn kept hallucinating her friends. At one point they were all prisoners with her. It was one of them who demanded to know why she hadn't gotten herself free. She found that hairpin Huck discovered later. She got loose and had an advantage over Eli.
Quinn could hear the argument between Eli and Olivia (repeated from the earlier episode). She knew very well Olivia was not committed to protecting her. So when Eli was about to kill her, she convinced him to save her because of the baby. Eli shot something else and told her not to say a word. Olivia left thinking Quinn was dead. Quinn knew she had to pretend to be dead or Olivia might do something to her. The baby came, and they couldn't go to a hospital. The salesman came and helped deliver. Eli was so compassionate as he helped Quinn with the baby. He was a good man, she thought. Then we found out whose body was burned ...

Two Janet Jackson songs. One light-hearted and bouncy which started the episode. The other angry and dangerous as Olivia walked the halls of the White House at the end.
Fitz took Olivia to Vermont. It appeared they would be resuming their relationship. But Huck was there. And Abby. And David. And there's one other guy who got in trouble with the mayor or Baltimore, or maybe he was running for mayor. Charlie was still with Quinn.
Mellie demanded to know where Olivia was. Jake asked Secret Service and they wouldn't give him information. Mellie went in the B613 headquarters where she wasn't supposed to be. She threatened to refill the pool that was supposed to be there.
In Vermont, they asked Olivia why she let Quinn die and David was all set to charge her in at least one of the deaths. Fitz wouldn't let her leave and Secret Service made sure she wouldn't, so she just went in a room by herself. Eventually, some of them tried being nice to her hoping she would come out. Finally, she agreed to resign as White House Chief of Staff and shut down B613. But when there was a press conference, it was clear that wasn't happening.
Eli was so loving and pleasant. The baby cried when Charlie tried to hold her, but Eli was able to make her stop. He and Quinn sang a Britney Spears song to the baby like they were doing karaoke. Charlie wanted Quinn to leave but she made it clear why she couldn't. Eli said Quinn was safest there. At one point he was his old angry self. Charlie had no choice but to leave.
