Sylvester isn't doing well so far getting Cabe out of his predicament.
I never thought it would be possible to have a crisis like this show usually has at a Renaissance festival. We're having one of those around here, according to commercials I've heard on the radio. Huzzah!
I can point out a few inaccuracies in the episode. How in the world would a substation that small have as much of an effect on a city of 6 million as they said it did? It wouldn't. Also, I've seen a lot of substations and they don't look like that one did. Everything is outside. And 9000 volts? I suppose it's possible. Around here the lines going out of a substation might be 7200 volts or 12,470. That's just something true of my power company. The lines running past my house are 24.940.
It's understandable that those ordinary people wouldn't be willing to help, but they sure were needed.

I guess I will watch it now since you did not hate it. Sometimes (most times), I become anxious while watching Scorpion, but I do think it is a good show.

I enjoyed seeing the team dress up to help Sly celebrate his birthday. Although they were in danger, they were able to handle it well. That poor guard suffered a lot of pain, but he continued to be brave.
Walter did not even try to enjoy the festival, but Paige seemed to forgive him . . .a little too easily. However, based on what Walter was saying, it sounded as if the organizers and participants made no effort to be at all accurate.
Toby is so funny. He was turned on by Happy’s outfit even though it was an executioner’s robe.
Walter is in good condition and ran a lot faster than I thought he could. Huzzah!
Chair of blades. The description was downright ridiculous, but I laughed anyway.

More inaccuracies. The doctor always yells "Clear" when he uses a defibrillator. That guard was being shocked periodically and it didn't affect the bad guy holding him.
Also, Happy referred to The Calvary. Bugs Bunny has made the same mistake.

4.09 It's Raining Men (of War)
11-20-17
Team Scorpion becomes stranded on a floating island of trash they were trying to destroy; Toby works with Cabe to uncover the details of his father's death.

Someone on Team Scorpion must be a jinx because everything keeps going wrong for them. It seemed like a safe enough task to spread a solution on the trash to harden it and get home in time for dinner. But three of them needed to cross a stretch of water that was infested with jelly fish. I have been stung by jelly fish and it was very painful. The boat sprung a leak and the motor would not start. Nothing is simple with them.
Florence is a mirror for Walter and eventually he will recognize he is just as abrasive as she is.
I liked the way Toby cleverly led Cabe to relive the day his father died and face what really happened. Cabe is in danger of going to prison, but he is worried about letting the team down. My hero!
It was very nice of them to invite Florence to dinner.

I really didn't like Florence's behavior. I am a lot like her (but not that smart) but that doesn't mean I want to watch someone like that. When she told Paige she believed she had never had to struggle, OH NO SHE DIN'T!
The one reason for Florence being there was so they could have a storyline where she learned Team Scorpion could be nice. I liked how it ended.
I don't get why it was necessary to discover a reason why Cabe would be afraid of going to prison. It's only natural to be afraid of going to prison. Still, it was an interesting process and we know more about Cabe.

It made me really uncomfortable to see Cabe yelling like that, but Sylvester said that was exactly what he needed to say to the judge.
I was afraid they were going to kill that girl, but Scorpion doesn't do that. The threat made the farther drop his gun and made it possible to capture both of them.
Which episode was it where Walter was insensitive about Cabe? But he finally admitted he couldn't stand to lose the man who was like a father to him.

I could not be upset with Scorpion for getting in trouble this week because they did nothing wrong. I like the way everyone is trying to help the team earn some money. Happy’s invention was amazing because it is compact and moved the bolder so easily.
Although the man raised his daughter to be a thief, I was still surprised at how potentially violent they were. He shot multiple rounds at Walter and Paige and could have caused their deaths. Both Paige and Happy had a parent who did criminal acts, but they turned out okay. Happy does not need to worry that her child will be a criminal because of her past.
We have seen Cabe get very emotional lately. When the hearing is over, maybe he can return to being the iceman.

4.11 Who Let the Dog Out ('Cause Now It's Stuck in a Cistern)

I never thought they would find a way to have a crisis while Cabe's trial was going on.
The judge's reaction to Sylvester's opening statement made me think we were going to have to wait through Christmas for the appeals process to get Cabe out of his situation.
Anything goes with these people, I suppose. Trying to influence the other judge wasn't quite ethical.
The look on Happy's face when she hugged Cabe was something I've never seen with her. She was actually showing emotion.
It's amazing Happy found out about the dog. And of course, Team Scorpion has to essentially break the law to do anything. But if they don't do it, no one can.
I thought the team was sunk when Cabe's replacement showed up. At least when he went to where the dog was, he got to see them in action, and although things didn't go well at first, he was changing his mind about them by the end.
Once again, Florence saves the day.
I can't understand why Sylvester didn't come up with his brilliant idea earlier, but it gave us the opportunity for an exciting chase. The librarian was funny, and somehow, Toby got his information. How Sylvester got in the courtroom with it I don't understand, since the sign outside says no cell phones. But any computer should have been able to receive it.
Another problem: if Cabe was in a federal court, why did Toby and Florence show up there after being arrested for a state charge? Also, the prosecutor called herself the state.

My Wisconsin radio station played "What Are You Doing New Year's Eve" by Katharine McPhee (Paige). At least I think it did. The Oregon station I listened to when my Internet was slow listed it.

I know this was Cabe’s episode, but I was mostly entertained by Toby. His dance of distraction for the men in the fire truck was really funny. When Toby was in the library, I laughed so hard when the officer tackled him.
The stuff I saw at the beginning was just stupid, like Toby riding the unicycle indoors. The stunts to make the judge mellow were silly. Sylvester did an excellent job of defending Cabe and I enjoyed the courtroom drama. Cabe’s lady is a sweetheart.
I was enjoying the rescue operation of the puppy until he drowned, then I was upset. Scorpion always does something to upset me. When Happy reverted to her normal personality and hurled insults at the Homeland agent as he was helping her, that was funny. I liked him.
It was nice they could call on Florence to help out. She has transitioned from being annoying to being amusing. Too bad she wound up in trouble with the law. I wonder what her community service will be.

I took another look at the courtroom scene. It seems Sylvester was so excited that he just rushed in waving the phone as evidence. He got away with it. I guess it was strange that they all wound up at the same courthouse. Perhaps the building housed both federal and state courtrooms. Or maybe Toby damaged federal property when he broke the glass to get the book. I could not get a view of the name of the library. When the judge referred to the prosecutor as the state, I wondered about that, but I could not think of how else they would describe her.

This was a nice episode in which Walter learned a lesson about how much he needs his team. Part of the lesson was to be careful what he said to the team members. For example, when Cabe offered to help him, Walter told him updating software was not part of his skill set. Often, it is the way Walter states his thoughts that leads to issues.
Sylvester's intern was amusing and gave Walter a hard time.
Soon after Florence was introduced, I wondered if she would be instrumental in making someone jealous. I could tell during the hospital scene Walter was wondering why his subconscious had him married to Florence, and she kissed him twice.

When Walter fell I figured we'd have either "It's a Wonderful Life" or "A Christmas Carol". It was both. Some of the events Team Scorpion prevented weren't mentioned but then the world would have been destroyed several times.
Walter was correct that Cabe couldn't help him with that job. I suppose he could have done a better job saying it.
The intern was everywhere! Kind of like Frank Nelson in the Gasoline Alley comic strip.
I was glad when Paige and Walter were together at the end. Florence has me concerned but I'm glad she was there to find Walter. Everything that happens to these people is worse than what happens to other people in the same situations.
Paige sang "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" according to the Portland radio station's list of songs played. The Wisconsin station plays most of the same songs because the network feed supplies both.

The Bunker Games
SEASON 4, EPISODE 13 • NEW MONDAY, 1/15/18, 10:00 PM ON WJZDT 13 • TV-14 • STEREO • CC

I had fun watching "The Bunker Games". According to Walter’s AI box, Toby has the lowest I.Q. on Team Scorpion. I guess Walter does not consider Paige a member of the team, but she participates during their dangerous quests.
It was very funny when Cabe was attached to the parachute and tried to run fast. Cabe has a nice throwing arm which he used to save his team.
Toby had an awful week. The honeymoon was a disappointment and then he was stuck in a trash compactor that was trying to crush him. I liked seeing Toby go up the chute and land on the car. Toby is a much better man than Quincy, his nemesis.
I like the way it ended. No one told Walter to share his dream with Paige, and there will be trouble in paradise. I think that is hilarious.

I had something to say about Walter in the thread that includes this week's "Flash" episode.
Walter's box reminded me of Janet on "The Good Place". The evil computer didn't. Even Bad Janet is just, like, what-EV-er.
I didn't pick up on Toby having the lowest IQ, or at least I didn't think about Paige. But Paige has abilities that have nothing to do with her IQ, and at least before she joined Team Scorpion, she had no training.
Florence once again proved valuable to the team. They just keep coming up with ways to prevent everyone from getting out of the jam they are in.
Walter should have kept quiet about the dream.
I was disappointed Paige didn't wear something sexy to work out. Now someone commented about why anyone would want to see Quincy's wife in those pictures. Why wouldn't they?

I don't get why it was stated anything that was plugged in would no longer work. That would be a disaster on the scale of "Revolution".
I liked how Walter thought the kids were smarter than they were and was so insensitive to them. Still, they ended up being smart after all, and the one moron in the group actually saved the day.
Cabe finally had to give in and say the words.
It was pretty amazing how they were able to do so much to help the kids, but of course, as it usually the case, things went wrong. If they didn't, the episode wouldn't last an hour.

I agree with everything you said. I think it was amazing the young couple calmed down enough to jump when they had to. I know it was either jump or die, but that was scary. It took them longer to hit the net than I expected. I could not help laughing when everyone took a step back just in case they missed the net.
After whining about the burnt pancake, Meatball was very capable of cooking for himself and the other children.
Walter's video still needed some work. Saying "take a whiz" might not be appropriate for a children's TV show.
I was entertained.

They just can't get through an episode without a major crisis. I really thought they weren't going to get out of this one.
Toby came up with a good plan to get out of working so he could help his ex. I hope he's not in trouble. I don't mean with Happy. They might have needed his skills. Obviously they got through it without him.
If that tsunami wasn't stopped the power plant would have been flooded. Who puts a power plant below sea level? And all those people had to get out. Yet they didn't start talking about stopping that tsunami until all other options were out of the question.
They had just minutes to stop that tsunami. There was no way.
I couldn't believe Walter and Paige were arguing when they had minutes to keep that power plant from blowing up and if they did things in the wrong order ...
I don't see how Happy got out of that pipe alive. That stuff was only going to protect her for a few seconds. And she had to hold her breath and close her eyes.
I liked how Walter and Paige solved their problems and put their argument behind them.
Cabe had so much confidence in the team. Usually it's Paige who expresses that the team will get it done.
Meanwhile Toby did such a good job helping his ex, but of course that didn't keep him from getting captured. Luckily, Happy was keeping track of him.
