It was a good episode. I often wonder what they would do without fearless Happy. While Cabe held the rope, Happy did her best impression of Spiderman and swung from one side of the reactor to the other and patched the fissures. It was amazing she survived in the pipe, but all she seemed to suffer was hot skin and frizzy hair.
I was very happy that in spite of the ongoing debate between Walter and Paige, the team did not mess up and make anything worse. I expect them to mess something up, but this time, they did not. It was silly that after debating the first kiss all day long, they still did not match answers during the game.
I did not expect Sly to cave in so quickly and tell Happy that Toby was with his ex. I think it was unrealistic for Toby to meet the dangerous criminal in person. The man never cleared up Amy's problem anyway. It is a good thing Happy put a tracer in Toby's key ring. She probably did that to make sure he did not hang out at any casinos.
Cabe is a good friend to have. Cabe and the author were quite convincing when they arrived and the book was autographed. It is sweet that Sly has gotten Cabe interested in his fantasy life.

I paused the episode and looked up Dr. Kadri's theory. The team did what the theory suggested and it worked for them. I hope someone tags Dr. Kadri so he will know he got an honorable mention on the show.

Sylvester and Florence? That could be awkward or it could solve the "I kissed Florence in a dream" issue.

I have come to the conclusion that "Scorpion" thinks additional pressure motivates the team when they are already under tremendous pressure.
Walter enjoys the challenges and I enjoy watching him perform daredevil stunts. The accurate trajectory of the zipline was impressive. When Walter fell forward off of the top of the building, I checked the time to see if it was going to be a cliffhanger. They did a great job of rescuing the doctor and pilot.
Toby did a good job of helping the medical staff although he and Happy were distracted.
Ralph was disappointed that he was asked to tutor a boy instead of being asked to go to the dance. I kept thinking he did not need to mislead the boy because there is no way he was going to grasp the lessons anyway. I liked it when Ralph reminded Walter of what he did to Tim, but I was surprised and disappointed when he told Florence to mind her own business.
MAJOR DISLIKE: Paige infected the workspace with her flu germs and ignored Sly's attempts to eliminate the virus in the area. I cannot believe anyone thought that was humorous.
Some humor:
HAPPY: If it is real gold, it should be fine. CABE: How cheap do you think I am? TOBY: Your cereal box says “cereal”.
WALTER: Tell him I appreciate the accurate trigonometry calculations. RALPH: Is he making a snide trigonometry comment?

I would think the episode was filmed sometime during flu season and they should have been aware of the seriousness of the strain for the current season. It has been deadly for children and adults. After posting, I saw on the local news another infant death from the flu in my area.

Paige didn't have the flu. In fact, she admitted only having a cold at the end of the episode. It is possible to feel as miserable as she did with just a cold. I don't think you sneeze with the flu, and she didn't seem all that sick.
In 2018 no one is watching a 40-year-old TV getting its signal from an antenna with aluminum foil on it without a converter box, and even then, the signal must be perfect or there will be stripes on the screen with audio interruptions, interference that looks like modern art with no audio or no signal at all. The days of a poor signal that looks like that are over.
I kept wondering, once it was discovered fuel was leaking, why no one was concerned about sparks. Also, whatever they did to make the static electricity go away didn't sound right, but it could have been possible.
They kept showing concern for the patient, but getting the doctor and pilot out of the helicopter was an urgent need just because of what could have happened to the helicopter.
I didn't think about the kid not getting the material even with Ralph's help, but Ralph shouldn't have been doing that anyway. But it was funny.

I enjoyed:
Ralph’s attempts to inspire Florence to like Sylvester as a possible beau.
Toby being the “smartest” one on the team.
The animal, instead of the team, causing the problems.
The calmness and helpfulness of the man who met them at the site.
Paige and Cabe being Paige and Cabe. ***
The ending surprised me.

Walter was so mean to Toby because he had the lowest IQ of the geniuses. But he learned what it was like to be "normal". He realized it helped him to be "normal" and he could think more clearly about things that were hard for him when he was a genius. I liked seeing Toby be the smart one for a change.
The geniuses have never been funnier than when they were losing their abilities. The same thing happened to Nygma on the last "Gotham" I watched.
I thought they were in trouble but Paige came up with the solution when she was the smartest one in the group.
It was mentioned that someone would have to pay for all the damage that was done.
I liked how Ralph and Florence got along.
I don't even remember how it ended.

I don't even remember how it ended. I hope you saw the ending. Paige invited Walter to go to an event with her because he had expressed he would like to do more of the normal things. He said he wanted to catch up on some work and barely looked up while she was talking to him. Then, Paige left with Ralph. After she left, Florence entered the building and made a suggestion about Walter's project that was drawn on a board. She added something to the drawing that impressed Walter. He then added something else, and they continued to improve the diagram. It looked as if they were having a very personal connection.

So here's why I can't comment on last night's episode even though I'm a day late coming here (and I forget where I explained this). "Furious 7" aired up against The Oscars. I think I recorded the competition on the oldest Tivo last year and I could have done that this year too. I have enough room. But then I have to sit in a different chair to watch and the remote doesn't work as well with that one. It's not that I enjoyed "Furious 7" that much. I'm not actually a fan of action movies. But there was enough there for me to enjoy. And after I got home I just did have time to watch both that and "Jeopardy".

How can going inside a bank to get cash instead of using an ATM become one of Scorpion's life and death situations? Easy.
I'm not saying I suspected the older man, but it seemed weird for someone his age to be in training as a teller.
I remember those tubes at drive-throughs at banks. It wasn't all that long ago ... actually, I've never done it so it must have been with one of my parents, so that's at least 20 years ago.
I enjoyed watching Cabe be tough.
Toby's predicament happened to Matt on "Life in Pieces" several weeks ago. Except the deadline was 30 minutes. Four possible scenarios were presented and I think Matt's ... container failed to get there in three of them. In one case, it was in an identical paper bag to one containing someone's lunch.

I watched this episode right away, but I overlooked posting about it.
I liked Toby's idea to use popcorn to cushion the tube. He ran as if he was catching a life or death touchdown pass.
Happy was really mean to the lady at the clinic, but she was under a lot of stress. I did not hear anyone say stress could impact Happy's ability to have a successful insemination, but I thought it would have an impact.
I bought an "atomic" clock and according to the seller, either the blinds or aluminum siding prevents the signal from getting to the clock.
I am not going to complain about Walter.

I forgot this show was on. I was taking a bigger risk than I thought but I don't think I lost anything. If I did, I haven't seen evidence. Because of my weather situation I can post today.
A mosquito was flying around the room where I was watching this. I finally caught it and squashed it.
Sylvester was spending time promoting his water filtration device. And he got to help his intern who was being bullied. I never imagined her behaving like that. How Sylvester got out of participating in the bayou project I don't understand. Happy was already running things from headquarters.
The comment was made they would be in the bayou in an hour. From California? The Concorde no longer flies and Team Scorpion can't afford it anyway. And how did they get back fast enough for the lecture?
Walter didn't need to mention the toupee at all but it gave Paige a chance to get frustrated. I do enjoy seeing her frustrated.
They were lucky the container with the mosquitoes floated to the top both times. But that didn't help much.
I did like Toby's joke about the prehistoric beast. I would have liked it better except I used to think Cabe was younger than I am since he could do so much, and I just believed he looked old because of all he had been through.
I liked seeing Cabe act like he was on drugs after the tranquilizer hit him. I never saw anyone get out of quicksand that way. I couldn't believe Cabe tried to help him, but that didn't work.
Walter just had to go and make the comment about crocodiles. Interesting that this happened the same week that they commented on OUAT about "Crocodile".
Since Toby and Cabe lost their coms, Toby must have contacted Happy using the cell phone the man must have had who delivered the antidote. Or did he have a cell phone?
Paige is so cute when she's strict. Hopefully Ralph learned his lesson. It's hard to imagine him being that way.
Walter let Paige think she didn't have to go to the lecture. But now Florence has gone, and while she appreciated it, I worry about what this means. paige did kiss Walter, but there's never a guarantee.

I also liked seeing Cabe while he was drugged. I have seen a lot of movies where there was quicksand, but no one ever mentioned the escape technique Toby used. Perhaps some adventurers recently learned that was possible.
Paige was in great danger in the water, but the boat made a fast exit. I wonder how long it took the gator to give up the chase.
Patty was bullied by the mean girls. They flattened her tires so that she would be late for school and ruin her perfect record. Patty should stop saying the same thing over and over about her perfect record because it irritates people. She is better off being alone than having friends like the mean girls. Mean girls are also mean to their friends, but she does not know that.
As far as chaining the bikes together with combination locks, I am on Team Ralph. Chaining the bikes was not as horrible as Paige made it seem. The maintenance personnel could cut the locks with bolt cutters. If the mean girls wanted to stand there and try a thousand combinations, it is what they deserved. It was also a lesson that there are consequences to their actions.
Even though Walter was being thoughtful when he lied to Paige, if/when she finds out he went with Florence, it will look as if he preferred to go with Florence.
I really like Happy and Toby being together. They have worked out their issues.

This made me think of Sylvester.
Brick on "The Middle" is another one of those genius kids who reminds me of Young Sheldon. His family finally decided they had enough of Brooke Shields and her evil kids terrorizing the neighborhood. First they were going after Brooke's family alone, and then the entire neighborhood got involved. Brick wanted to help but he was told in every situation like this there is a tech guy who hangs back and runs things from a distance.

I couldn't believe they got away with it. All those rules and they didn't break a single one?
I liked all the off-color comments made by Toby as he tried to give Team Scorpion an advantage.
I wondered how they'd get enough players, but it seems everyone who ever worked with Scorpion was there. Well, not the guy who picked up trash and took over Paige's job. And not the one who's in jail. Or Tim.
I liked the announcer's clothes and his insults. A comic strip I read has an announcer who is getting people upset with his racist comments about the high school basketball player from Puerto Rico, who had to leave after the hurricane and ended up in the town where the comic strip takes place. The students have been protesting.
I hadn't considered that Paige might be a jock, but that's what she said. And I liked how tough she acted in so many scenes.
Walter really seemed scared when he finally had to admit he didn't lose that key. But he was so mean and insulting to Cabe. It sort of makes up for his behavior that he said he couldn't mess up in front of another father.

Toby's comments and the announcer's comments kept me laughing. I never heard so many "balls" puns in my life. I burst out laughing when the professional player rushed off of the base and ran off the field. Walter outdid himself with the demeaning memo about division of funds from Happy's invention. His refusal to apologize or accept their grievance until the very end of the episode was not amusing and I could not empathize with Walter. I am adding him to the "Least favorite character" list.

I pretty much agree with the off-color comments. I don't even remember what was significant about Kyle (I think that was his name). Walter did annoy me by being so selfish with the company's money, but not enough to make me like him less. So now to this week. I always like it when Paige assures people the team will get the job done and shows so much confidence when she does. And she was so determined to keep that kid safe. The team members end up getting so many injuries but they always heal. The man who annoyed Cabe said tuna was called mahi-mahi. Actually, that's dolphin. A name which I wish people wouldn't use because people think it's Flipper. The people on that plane were lucky Team Scorpion was there, some indirectly. Actually, it turned out it was mainly the kid who was lucky.

I had a pen pal in high school. Or would have, if he had ever responded. I wrote someone in Germany for my geography class but never got a response.
It's understandable that the doctor wouldn't trust Toby. But without Toby's help that man would have died.
I don't see how they saw where they were going in the sandstorm. I wouldn't want to trust Sylvester's memory of where the mines are. I saw a movie last summer where sandstorms were a real problem in this country because we had ruined it.
I'm glad Toby and Happy decided to adopt. I don't know why it took so long for happy to get over the idea of having her own baby.
I was hoping Paige would be understanding about Walter going to the lecture when she found out. But her reaction to the other detail was too much. I don't like one bit how the episode ended, and now we have to wait until Fall to know what will happen. No one can ask for a raise, that's for sure.
