Poor sweet Cas, he seems so sad and lonely. We finally got a hug and Dean telling him he isn't going to leave him behind. I am wondering though if the words "he just let go" have something to do with the end scene? Can we get a bucket and a hose to wash off Cas? although at least Cas was washing his face.

Castiel was rather in need of a good hosing. I'm sure you are correct that the final scene is probably where Cas "just let go". I have no idea where he was going to land once he let go. Perhaps he just slid down an incline and was still trapped in Purgatory. I will always love Jeremy Carver for giving us the Dean-Castiel scene that included Dean hugging Castiel, Dean finally admitting to Cas that he needs him, and Dean saying he would not leave without him. There is a lot of information out there on upcoming episodes by bloggers like TVOvermind, etc. I found it strange that they were giving plot summaries that told the entire episode so I had to stop reading them. I thought "Whoa, read no further." I did not copy any of the links because I want to see it unfold the way it was meant to be seen.

Hi Anti , I agree with you, I have had to stop looking at some of the spoiler places, they just give everything away. I was so happy that the Dean/Cas hug wasn't spoiled, It was so unexpected that it meant more, at least to me. Dean looks so sad when he talk about Cas I think the level of acting by Jensen, Jared and Misha, is just excellent and I really wonder why no one but SPN fans can see that.

Me too! I had no idea the hug was coming so I enjoyed it immensely. The acting is excellent. I agree. Jensen and Misha can act in serious drama outside of horror flicks, and I hope they get a serious opportunity. When I learned Castiel was left in Purgatory, I wondered if Carver was going to disappoint us, but now I have confidence that Castiel will play an important role. That means I want to see more than a tug of war with Benny for Dean's affection as some people are saying.

I think Cas will play a big part in whatever is going on this year. I am starting to look forward again to SPN being on and seeing where they take us. Cas being in it for more than 4.1 episodes helps a lot ;D I suspect that Benny is using Dean for now, and I hope that Cas and Dean call him on it. I am also happy about the ratings for this year so far 1.8 the first week and 2.6 the second. I am sure Arrow played a part in the ratings boost but I would like to think that with a new, better show runner and a new tone this year will help too.

Castiel was rather in need of a good hosing. *facepalm* Awww Jeez Anti, do you know how many Destiel pervs I follow on Twitter? I feel like my brain is totally infected. I can't hear lines like that without my head going into the gutter. At the Cas girl forum, I started a thread about how Destiel is reinforced by the writers not having explaining why Cas does so much for the Winchesters. How bad is it when m/m slash makes more sense than canon? After 8.02, I really want to know, because 8.02 healed my connection to this show a little bit. Plus, all my Destiel friends are literally telling me "Drink the Destiel Kool-Aid". All in fun of course.

I will always love Jeremy Carver for giving us the Dean-Castiel scene that included Dean hugging Castiel, Dean finally admitting to Cas that he needs him, and Dean saying he would not leave without him. I'm glad that no previewers like Crapleymack spoiled that hug. Seeing that hug was healing. But I don't trust Carver or Singer yet. But, I'm willing to check out coming Cas epis. I don't want to be spoiled either. I just want to know Cas is in the epi, which tells me whether I can skip it or not. I've got to see more of what Carver's team does before I watch more than that.

I am happy there are more episodes with Castiel. I was surprised they let us know that some of the angels still hold Castiel in high esteem. That was a plus. *bets Yim thinks they're building up our hopes, then wham!* Hosing. Now where was my mind when that was written?

I am looking forward to learning more about what Cas has went thru in Purgatory. I am not saying that Dean had an easy time because we can see that he has had a really rough time, but I am wondering if perhaps Cas was even higher on the most- wanted list.
I am also wondering how Dean and Cas's time in Purgatory will change each of them over the course of the season. I think or hope by the end of the season we can see how the time away really affected them and we will see how Sam is or has been dealing with Dean and Cas.

Positive news about Misha's/Castiel's popularityThree days before the inaugural Edmonton Expo, organizers announced that they'd added Misha Collins to the guest roster. Despite the short notice, Collins, who plays the angel Castiel on Supernatural was the top seller in photo op pre-sales and attracted the longest queues in the autograph area. As Edmonton Expo mascot Emily Expo noted before Collins's spotlight panel, there has been a "dearth" of Supernatural appearances in Alberta. Collins had announced his appearance by tweeting: "I've been asked by the CIA to go to Edmonton. Any good restaurants there? I've always wanted to try real Canadian food." He did find a good restaurant as well as a few minutes to speak with Sequential Tart. We spoke the day after his panel. He had said he was surprised at how large Edmonton was (1.1 million people), but hadn't had time to explore the city, so I wondered if he had time to see more. *** ________________________________________ Sequential Tart: Did you get it to see more of Edmonton? Misha Collins: I did absolutely yep. I went to Tres Carnales. It was delicious. Great food. Very long wait. When I walked in they were like, “Oh my God! I know you! I love you! Would you want a seat!” and I said, “No! No! No!” I am waiting in line with everyone else, and about 15 minutes later I was like, “Hey! Is that offer still available,” and I cut in line like an asshole celebrity, so there you go.

Cas, How I have missed this Cas, the one who never backs down even when he isn't strong enough to fight. I loved the glowing eyes and the wing shot

I loved the close up shot of the glowing blue eyes. I do wonder though, why did he glow all over this time? we have never seen that.

The only time I recall him glowing is when he had the power of a god. Hopefully his penance has helped him to ascend to a higher level of angel.
November, I am chuckling as I write that comment because I never even thought about the glow until you mentioned it. Good observation. Now I must look at that scene again.

Anti, Your right, The only time he glowed like that is when he had taken in all the souls. I like your theory of him being able to ascend higher since he was willing to do penance. Maybe that will help him realize what Naomi is up to.

The new episode when Castiel tries to become a hunter will probably irk some Cas fans as well as some non-Cas fans. I know some fans don't like seeing Castiel used for comic relief, but he does it so well that I cannot avoid laughing. As long as he does not overdo it, I'll be okay with a little over-the-top humor. A stranger posted that this reminds her of when Castiel was a soldier in The End. I wonder if this is what starts him on the path in the absence of the Croatoan virus. I will admit - without , I am a fan girl. and I have loved every Castiel from the "clueless" to the "megalomaniac".

Anti , Thank you for saying that. I too like all forms of Cas, I am just happy to have him a part of the Winchester world. I think Misha as well as J2 are very gifted actors, and I like to see them get to play the different "versions" of Dean, Sam,and Cas. I am not a Cas fan who wants him in every episode, but I do want him in a decent number of episodes, I think he adds so much to every scene he is in.

Anti, That is one of the best ever videos I have ever seen about Cas. I think it is truly extraordinary, it made me laugh, and almost cry and made me feel good about the show again. I am not a shipper, but I loved it. thanks you for putting that here.

Hello stranger Glad you dropped by. S8 is a real treat. Hey you! Been busy these past weeks. Months. It's been a while since I've had a string of days with no art pending! And now I don't know what to do with myself. I've forgotten how to manage free time. LOL! ;D I know new/revised design will be coming my way soon, but no idea when....I'm hoping I'll get details with enough lead time so it won't be another mad scramble for printing. Pulling off quick-turnaround printing miracles is exhilarating, I'll give you that, but getting a Scotty rep is gonna give me future heartburn: I'm stockpiling Tums so I'm better prepared. This last time I couldn't even count on my established Vancouver printer, I had to flail around to find someone who could do everything that needed doing in Toronto! In one day. In close proximity to a particular hotel. The conversation went something like this: "Scotty I need warp drive now!" "Cap't, the engines canna be fixed in less than a day!" "Scotty, you have five minutes!" Really! That's exactly what happened. I'm guessing the coming month will be much slower-paced, as everyone in the industry starts wrapping and taking off for the holiday season. Too bad though, I enjoy the crazy.

Anicat, sounds like a lot of excitement when it comes to time constraints. You do a beautiful job so you don't need to worry about do-overs. You must be either very persuasive or you sound like Kirk "hurry up, or we're all gonna die!"

Hi Anicat and Anti , It feels good to have more people in CFC ;D I loved Cas in the last 2 episodes, he adds so much to this show. The scene between him and Dean actually talking was both heartbreaking and more importantly it was needed. I couldn't believe Dean actually went to him and asked him what was wrong, and Cas was very open and honest. I have hopes that maybe Dean will learn something from that honesty and he and Sam can have that kind of openness between them.

I have watched the last 2 episodes a couple of times together now, and they are just so good that I feel like I could watch them over and over again.
I think Cas, Sam and Dean work together well even if Cas doesn't get everything being said.
I don't think Cas is in the next one, but I do think it will be a tough one to watch, I am expecting a lot of drama.
