3.13 Canaries (2-11-15)
Oliver struggles to adjust to the changes that have taken place within Team Arrow. I agree and he can't deal with it either.

I enjoyed the way the characters’ past were intertwined with Oliver’s life through six degrees of separation. Thea and Oliver went to the island so that Thea could teach Oliver the skills Malcolm had taught her. Slade was incarcerated on the island and he escaped. Oops…Malcolm set him free so Oliver could regain his killer instinct by fighting a crazed killer hyped up on mercuru. The vengeful Slade easily defeated our intrepid pair and locked Oliver and Thea in the jail cell. Oliver pulled Thea’s shoulder out of the socket so that she could reach the door release that opened the cell door. That looked really painful. But Thea was able to fight as if nothing had happened to her and the two of them were able to subdue and put Slade back in the cell. Uh oh! Thea insisted on the truth and now she knows she killed Sara. She gave her father a piece of her mind when she returned to Starling City. The flashbacks are entertaining and revealing. The evil Waller took Oliver and Maseo to Starling City because they needed Oliver to access a computer located at Queen Enterprises. Oliver saw Thea at Queen Enterprises; then he saw her talking to his tombstone and buying drugs while she was there. He saw his BFF Tommy try to get Thea to stop her destructive behavior. Oliver sneaked into Tommy’s party and killed Thea’s drug dealer. Snapped his neck and tossed him over a balcony! Diggle and Diggle’s brother were on security detail at the party. Laurel and her father were also there. When Maseo was arguing with Oliver, I think they sneaked in a line that fans have probably said. Oliver said people would not recognize him because he pulled the hoodie down over his face. Maseo responded that plan wouldn’t work even if he smeared grease paint over his face. Felicity was her usual delightful self and Oliver saw her when he sneaked into the Queen building. She looked at his picture and said he was cute. That put a smile on his face. Oliver wanted to ditch the mission, but he joined Maseo and saved his life again.

I really enjoyed the swordplay and fighting. I like it when the team works together even though I did not think Diggle was a match for the assassins.
Oliver is the only one trying to keep Malcolm alive. I think Oliver wants him dead, but not if Thea is involved.
I wonder how Nyssa al Ghul, Ra Al Ghul's daughter, will react to Thea's confession that she killed Sara. I agree with Malcolm that Thea is very stubborn. Oliver, Roy, Malcolm and Laurel have tried to reason with Thea, but she is hard headed. My guess is that Nyssa will take Thea to Nanda Parbat. Since Oliver is there, he should be able to save Thea's life.
Will Oliver accept the honor of becoming the next Ra? The current one said he came across a magician in 1858, but he looks pretty good to be 150 years old.
Laurel is an attorney and should be intelligent. The drugs she took must have fried her brain cells if she thought she could fight Malcolm Merlyn.
Ray and Felicity...what can I say? Ray finally completed his atom suit and it can fly like Iron Man's suit.

Exciting episode with lots of action, arrows, bullets and swordplay. Everyone hates Malcolm so much they say awful things about him while he is listening and they do not care. I don't like them bruising his pretty face though. Ra's "offer" was not really giving Oliver a choice, and the closing scene showed that Ra is making certain that Arrow will be accused of once again killing people. He will be labelled as a criminal and probably be placed at the top of the most wanted list. I liked the scenes with Felicity and Arrow. I do not want them to be upset with each other. I like the way Felicity reminded Oliver that the reason they are not together is his choice, not hers. I still like Ray Palmer, and I hope Felicity never has to choose sides between Oliver and Ray. Roy and Diggle are still defending the city alongside Arrow. Roy made me smile when he walked toward the door to respond to a knock and pulled a weapon from his rear pocket...a pencil...yes, Arsenal is so tough that the only weapon he needs is a pencil. We will have to wait to see what happened in the flashbacks when Oliver bumped into Shado while protecting Maseo's boy.

I thought Diggle was fed up with that agency and I am curious to see how he is pulled into a Suicide Squad mission on his wedding day.

I thought it was a good episode too. I thought it was Ra's al Ghul who was the fake Arrow, but it was Oliver's friend Maseo. I know Arrow does not want to hurt him so I see no way to stop him from tarnishing the Arrow's reputation.
Even though Ray Palmer made peace with Oliver, Arrow is still in trouble with the police. I wonder if his name will ever be cleared.
Oliver pretty much gave Felicity the all clear sign to be with Ray and it looks as if she will be with him now.
I thought that stalker chick was hilarious the way she was hitting on Deadshot when he showed his skills.
I am glad Layla will stay home with the baby and Diggle can remain with the Arrow team. I never liked that agency anyway. They give government agencies a bad rep.

I wonder if Leila will be able to leave the agency, Ra's al Ghul won't let all of her from being the next him.

It is difficult to keep the relationships straight. Lyla is Diggle’s wife and they both worked for A.R.G.U.S., the black site government agency. Nyssa is Ra’s al Ghul’s daughter and she expected to inherit the League of Assassins.

3.18 Public Enemy (Apr. 1, 2015) During an attack on the mayor's office, Ray is critically injured. Felicity is pleasantly surprised when her mother, Donna Smoak, shows up at the hospital to offer her support. With the SCPD out in full force looking for the assailant, Oliver and his team work hard to stay one step ahead of the police to find the man responsible. However, things come to a head when Ra's al Ghul kidnaps Captain Lance.

Team Arrow’s escape from the police was terrific and the cops brought everything like they were in Grand Theft Auto. At first I did not think the team would take down Maseo, but when they did, Ra’s stepped in and they did not have a chance against his army. Ra’s is not going to give up on Oliver becoming his successor.
Detective Lance is so overwhelmed with grief and so angry, nothing Oliver or Laurel says to him will change his mind. Laurel chose to keep Sara’s death a secret and Oliver abided by that. It was a family matter and was not Oliver’s responsibility to interfere. Lance was right that it was Oliver’s fault that Sara was on the yacht though.
Ray Palmer looked perfectly all right lying in that hospital bed. Felicity’s mother was right that he looked handsome. Felicity took a big risk for Ray, but she has been taking risks for a long time now. I wonder if Ray realized she panicked when he said he loves her.
I do not like Arsenal claiming to be the Arrow because he will probably not get a fair hearing because of his Glades background. People are not treated equally in the “justice” system.
It was a very good episode.

I got the impression that Oliver wanted to remain in his home town and being Ra's al Ghul would disrupt his life. I think Arrow's team just wants the League of Assassins to go away and leave them alone.
By the way, I do not really mind Laurel being Black Canary, but she did not receive enough training before she started wearing the outfit.
