This show is about to go too far as far as I'm concerned.
I saw Dwight Yoakam's name but I never dreamed he would turn out to be that barber. He had such a young face. But when he sang, that settled it. That's him all right.

I am so glad Dwight sang in the episode. He sounded wonderful. If the mystery is that he and Sam have been hiding James' mother, that would not make sense to me.
I do not like the way Barbie and Julia are fighting.

Storms interrupted the first two episodes and I missed important information including the fact that Junior's mother is alive. When they showed the "previously on" clips, that is when I realized how much was lost during the interruptions.
I did enjoy what I saw. I am not feeling warm and fuzzy about the science teacher pushing Big Jim to do her dirty work. Then, she did not go through with it herself. I guess the scratches on Sam's chest is an indication that he killed Angie. Those scratches were certainly long and deep.

I think Stephen King and the writers have done an amazing job of expanding the original story line. During the introduction, the voice over says "Two weeks ago, an invisible dome crashed down." I was so caught up in the events that I did not pay attention to the small amount of time that had passed. Since it has been only two weeks, it no longer seems strange to me that new characters are showing up. However, I have no idea if Melanie is real or if she is "Memorex".

Big Jim is dangerous but he was a strong leader. Julia seems to have been chosen by the Dome to play an important role, but I think she needs someone like Barbie to help her as a leader.
Am I the only one who is surprised that Barbie joined Big Jim in considering the "survival of the fittest/shake the tree" solution?

no your not only one I was surprised too should be something to see if they do run out of food.

The storm caused me to miss the explanation for the red rain. Do you think the Dome caused it or is the science teacher correct? I think the rain and the butterflies damaged the food supply. Now the animals are sick. I would not suggest eating any animals because they could be sick and not showing it yet.
If Barbie is fooling Big Jim about joining him, he should tell Julia because she seems very angry with him.
I am still shocked that only two weeks passed and they are headed toward a food shortage.

I don't recall an explanation for the red rain.
The current situation was encountered on "The 100". There weren't enough resources for everyone so it was going to have to happen somehow. They were going to just select people to be "floated" (if you don't know that show, that means you get sent out into space). When some of the people found out what was going on they volunteered to make the sacrifice.
Then they concluded even the space station couldn't survive. There was no escape pod and certainly no way for everyone to go to Earth, even though "The 100" had proven Earth was habitable again. The experts came up with a way to separate part of it and take it back to Earth, with no way of knowing who would survive since parts of the space station wouldn't make it. The commander volunteered to stay behind, which meant he would die.
But there is no escape from The Dome.
At least the last one was not as bad as the previous week.

Maybe some people in Chester Mill would volunteer to sacrifice themselves if given the option.

I have never watched this show before, but I did see the last two episodes because I was raised on Dwight Yoakam's music and what I want to know is if he is going to be back for a later episode because from what I could tell, it looked like he was playing a character that may need to be found due to something in his past.
God bless you and Dwight always!!!

Weren't they lucky there was a survivalist living in town. I thought it was too much to burn the place with their food in it.
Julia sure is pretty. The longer I watch the more I realize Melanie is too. Norrie isn't that pretty but I like her attitude.

Good episode. I am glad Julia and Barbie are back together. The biggest reconciliation was between Barbie/Julia & Big Jim. I am not sure the science teacher has been reconciled. I am not sure Uncle Sam knew Angie was one of the four when he killed her. I think it is more likely he killed her so she would not discover the tunnel behind the locker. But others looked into the locker without discovering the tunnel. I doubt that the tunnel will get past the barrier of the dome. Nothing else has.

I saw the movie "Vertical Limit". It's about a group of mountain climbers on K2 and the people back at base camp who have to rescue the climbers when they get in trouble.
At the start of the movie, two of the cast members were climbing with their father. Something came loose and there was only one place where their rope was still attached. The father old his son to cut the rope. It meant the father would die but the kids would live.
Years later, the sister was part of the team on K2. A rich businessman was calling the shots but he had an experienced climber with him. The other man said turn back because the weather was getting bad. The rich man didn't want to. Somehow they fell in a hole. As they were getting sick, the rich man said to ration the drug because they would run out if they didn't. The man kept getting sicker and sicker, and the sister eventually got sick and the rich man wouldn't give her anything either. Of course, as we learned later, he was just being selfish. But I thought all this was relevant.
The brother was on the rescue team and it was because of him they kept pushing even though it was a suicide mission.
I have a spoiler which is also relevant.

Tonight's episode was exciting. It looks like people are changing their alliances.
I wonder if Stephen King came up with the idea that if the "4 hands" die, the dome will come down. He often does mean things to children in his stories.
But why did the dome bring Mel back? Did it know Angie was going to die? I thought the only reason Sam was in town was because of Mel.
Barbie and Sam spent too much time standing near the edge of the precipice so we knew something bad was going to happen. Will people be suspicious of what happened to Sam? Where the heck is Lyle? I want him to come back so he can sing to us.
